@Paige2207 ooo, less than a week to go! Agree about the pessaries, not the best but not going to complain, weird feeling that I'm thrilled I have to take them for at least two more weeks 🤣

It's funny when you read up before you start and you wait for certain phrases or information that never comes cause everywhere is different, and even staff in the same place say different things.

I'm good thanks. I'm kinda just living in a happy limbo until the scan. Not really sure what else to do for now 🤣

@pixelflower were you told three weeks after BFP for taking the pessaries?
I was told after FET it would be 12 weeks of taking them

That's fantastic @itsmschanandlerbong! Have you got any tips for losing weight? I'm just under my BMI but only slightly and would love to lose more!

@willithappen I was told 12 weeks too, but I think I only get enough to get to the scan. Had enough for today and what a bloody carry on trying to get more to do till then 🤦

@Paige2207 ART is basically the appointment before consents - AMH blood test and swabs 😊

@conall thanks 😁 I batch cooked a load of healthy, low calorie meals and ate those. Also cut down on wine and takeaways.

How is everybody?

We are still waiting until the 5th of April that we have the consents appointment, so no news for now, just wait!

@GemmTryTTC That’s lovely thank you! We ended up staying in a hotel last night (we stay over an hr away from clinic) and just wanted to take the stress of traffic etc away and glad I did for bladders sake! Transfer went well and wasn’t long at all..got to see the little embryo being implanted and was proper cute! Enroute to mccyds the now..starving! 😋
5th April isn’t long now! Am I right in thinking that’s Easter Monday? Looking forward to more choc treats! 🤣 x

@willithappen how did you get on with your follow up appointment?

@pixelflower bit of a faff to be honest! Still not sure what it was for an was a whirlwind!

Wasn't consent signing, as we have filled them all in already they said. There wasn't any review of my treatment other than them saying I was FET because I developed OHSS - I didn't, I actually had zero OHSS symptoms after. I was high risk. I told her about the fluid in my lining and apparently that wasn't in my notes.
She then said 'oh so there is a 4-5 week waiting list for FET' to which I was confused as I have already been given the tablets/protocol/called in with period etc and was provisionally booked in then
Turns out nothing on my notes about that and she couldn't see me booked into diary. Was told if I wasn't booked in I'd need to wait for not this period but next one.
She went to check with one of the nurses, who confirmed I was booked in so all good/back on track

That was the jist of it really. My partner took the day off work as when I called asking what it was about and if he needed to be there I was told absolutely he did have to be. None of that appointment was directed at him at all.

Just really confused overall. A bit upset they my notes are not up to date and that I was potentially being put off another month due to this,
All back on track though. Just have to wait for period to come and hopefully it isn't late! I didn't have any of my usual ovulation signs this month. I usually get a sharp twinge in my left or right (majority of the time it's left) around the time of ovulation but none of that this month.

How are you feeling @pixelflower ?

@willithappen sounds like the only thing it did was cause more stress 🤦 Glad it was an error and you're all booked in. It sometimes seems like they assume everyone else is just sitting around at home just now so it's not important to give clear info on who needs to be there. Probably just a general flaw in the system though. Fingers crossed period shows up on time 🤞
I'm good thanks. Feel a bit in limbo. Wasn't sure if I should speak to GP/midwife before the scan but finally did an econsult form today to find out what happens.

@pixelflower yeah was a bit of added stress. She was away to book me in for a nurses appointment and everything. I think I was just put into a next system but without any notes checked/updated. Kind of makes me wonder what else isn't on there or if there are things I don't know.

Is that with your GP? When's the next scan appointment and how are you feeling just now? Any sickness? My friend is suffering quite bad with the sickness

@willithappen think it just gets sent to reception as received a message saying they'd passed it on to GP. I don't think I'll actually be able to say anything other than I got a positive test until after the scan 🤦 Scan is on the 5th of April. I've had the odd time feeling sick but not much or too bad, but still early days 😶 That's a shame for your friend ☹️

What a waste of time your appointment sounds like @willithappen. Like you needed the stress of them loosing or not updating your records 🤦🏼‍♀️

That’s me literally just out of egg retrieval, not half as bad as I thought it would be, but then I am still on meds 😂. Only 3 eggs after 10 big follicles so a little down about that but it only takes 1 good egg so fingers crossed they are all strong and all fertilise 😁

@LabradorMum exciting! I was the same, expected more from the follicles I had. Like you say, only takes one. Fingers crossed they're all still going strong and you get a transfer and frozen 🤞

Yeah a lot of stress from that but more relaxed now. Actually strangely have a bit of spotting again today :/

@willithappen Is spotting unusual for you in general?

@pixelflower yeah never had spotting before!
I spotted for three days from day 7 this cycle and then yesterday but nothing since. Wondering if it was a cut that did yesterday's

Thanks @pixelflower @Kitekat81 I’m just a little numb just now kinda hoped at least one would fertilise. I had missed call from the clinic 10 minutes after the initial call so not sure what that was about. I know first cycles don’t always work but my scans etc had all been good and I actually had more follicles yesterday than they originally thought I wonder if they triggered me too soon or too late and I’d I was on the right protocol. I only get one cycle on the NHS so another one would be our own finances really not sure I want to go through this again if it won’t work, will see what happens at the follow up meeting.

Maybe I just wasn’t meant to be a mum and it’s not for me 💔

@LabradorMum I am so sorry to hear this and can't imagine how you are feeling. Take it easy on yourself today. If you need someone to talk to directly about it all then we are all here for you and you can direct message me if you'd like

What was your initial findings as to why you couldn't get pregnant? Were you unexplained? The only good to take is that with a failure it can often give answers and reasons as to why it's that way and something for you to work on going forward

I know it's hard not to think it isn't for you right now, but I think take a bit of time for yourself, don't make any decisions on things just yet ❤️

@LabradorMum I think you need to take time to grieve this round. I'm shocked and I know that's miniscule to what you're feeling. I didn't realise you only had one cycle so that definitely adds another layer of decision. I'm sorry you're feeling like you aren't meant to be a mum. You have options but you've been incredibly unlucky and need to grieve what you've lost today xx

@LabradorMum don't give up yet. Today has been a shock and you need to allow time to absorb it and take all the time you need to grieve. You don't need to decide on your next steps straight away. Then you can see what they say at the follow-up meeting and reassess from there. From what I understand they learn a huge amount from the first cycle about what works and doesn't work for you, and can tweak the protocol to improve your chances of success the next time. But you don't need to think about all that today. Just concentrate on looking after yourself today xx
