@Gensola that is really frustrating. I got told something similar, and was panicking because they calculated 27 on the scan prior to booking egg collection, but only collected 18 in the end. They still told me I need to look out for symptoms, which had me creating them in my head for the 5 days.... fingers crossed for you that its below their 20 threshold 🤞😔.

@Jane1284 good luck with your call today, let us know how they're getting on 😊 xxx

BrandyM · 03/12/2020 08:48

So sorry to hear that @Gensola. Although I completely understand the need to protect the NHS it's just another frustrating way this pandemic is affecting all of us.

I hope you get slightly less than 20 (like 19) or a a lot more than 20 to make the wait worthwhile.

Best of luck with the EC and let us know how you get on xxx

@BrandyM so glad the outcome has been so positive.

@Jane1284 thank you, I don't know where the others were hiding but if there's a good one amidst them I'll be happy. I hope you get some good news today.

MF1981 · 03/12/2020 09:20

That is brilliant news @BrandyM!

MF1981 · 03/12/2020 09:24

@Gensola they told me the same but that they wouldn’t decide until day 4 depending on how I felt. As it turned out I was really poorly and in no fit state to have a transfer - I could barely walk let alone have an embryo transferred into me. So I completely understand why they’ve told you this. Hopefully you’ll be absolutely fine and can have a transfer. Good luck today.

Gensola · 03/12/2020 11:03

They got 25 eggs and have told me it will be freeze all. I am in a lot of pain, the meds aren’t really touching it.

MF1981 · 03/12/2020 11:27

@Gensola bless you. Keep up the water intake and take cocodamol every 4 hours or so. Eat little and often and try to keep on top of any constipation as that made it worse for me. Plenty of rest for you over the next few days. It will pass hun. Feel your pain x

Ofpalestsilver · 03/12/2020 13:00

@Roo45 this process is punishing. Hopefully there’s still a line there tomorrow.

Nature is a cruel mistress. I have one of the worst periods I’ve had in years. Intensely painful, both my legs are numb and doubled over in cramps. Yesterday I was so low I couldn’t get out of bed and then today I feel like I’m being pummelled. Also annoying if I’d gotten my period yesterday I could have started the next cycle as well!

This shizz is hard guys! We’re thinking of switching to IVF instead of 3 IUI except the clinic thinks we should finish IUI (might as well get all the money, right?!) but no consultation appointments til next year (maybe because I was like why do I have to pay more to see a consultant for like the first time in this cycle...)

Good luck to everyone with scans & all sorts.

Mancbear88 · 03/12/2020 13:50

@Gensola even though it doesn’t feel like it it might be for the best, I had 42 follicles. They only got 8 eggs so they let me transfer and I wasn’t well at all. I was in pain for a few months and I couldn’t walk any distance. This way your body gets chance to recover. My ovaries were still swollen at my 12 week scan. The FET is so easy in comparison!

I transferred my 5AA yesterday so just waiting now, fingers crossed it’s making itself comfy. My lining was much better than my fresh cycle which was successful just ended in a miscarriage. So fingers crossed.

MrsF1989 · 03/12/2020 14:11

@Mancbear88 my little embryo that I'm keeping warm is a 5AA too 🥰🥰. Im hoping he/she sticks around, its my best one 🙊 xxx

Gensola · 03/12/2020 14:21

@Mancbear88 thank you that does make me feel better, I feel absolutely terrible now after the process so I suspect high chance of OHSS. And I will be able to enjoy bubbly at Christmas, DH says he will buy me a bottle and a pile of blue cheese, cured meat and any other pregnancy- banned items Grin

@MF1981 thank you am drinking fluids and trying to rest but going to the loo is literal agony, I ended up taking 25 mins for a wee because it hurt so much I couldn’t get off the loo. 😱 now have hot water bottle and tea on sofa and SO glad I booked tomorrow off work, I almost didn’t!

MF1981 · 03/12/2020 14:28

@Gensola the wee pain should ease soon but with increased fluids you will need to go more often - try not to let your bladder get too full as then it hurts more. I was advised to try and wee every 2 hours.

Jane1284 · 03/12/2020 15:10

That sounds awful @Gensola I really hope you are feeling better soon! Great that you got so many eggs though

All the best for the TWW @Mancbear88

So sorry to hear about your intense AF @Ofpalestsilver Look after yourself.

I just had a call from the embryologist. She said that all 4 embryos have the correct number of cells and that they have graded 2 of them as good quality and 2 as borderline. She said the borderline ones had fragmentation. So I am still on track for a day 5 transfer on Saturday which is great news. It would be amazing to get one in the freezer too but we will have to see. I don't know much about fragmentation but i wonder if that means they won't be good enough to freeze on Saturday. We shall see!

Roo45 · 03/12/2020 15:53

@Gensola and @Ofpalestsilver hope you are feeling better soon
Keeping fingers crossed for you @jane1284 and good luck to all those in 2ww xx

MrsF1989 · 03/12/2020 15:59

@Jane1284 that is great news there's some quality ones going strong xxx

lucymills1234 · 03/12/2020 19:42

Good news @Jane1284, another hurdle passed!

Mancbear88 · 03/12/2020 20:02

@Gensola 100% treat yourself have everything and lots of it Smile my FET has only been since 1st November when i started noristorene (I don’t bleed on my own) to transfer on 2nd Dec so it’s quick when you get round to it. I was so poorly through IVF that I said I would never ever do it again (I probably would now ha), so hope you start to feel better soon. A hot water bottle might help.

@MrsF1989 when’s your test day? Mines 15th, but I got a positive with my fresh after 5 days so I’m tempted to test early again even though I know I should wait!

BrandyM · 03/12/2020 20:26

@Gensola so sorry to hear you're in so much pain! I hope you start feeling better real soon. Take good care of yourself the next few days. It's great you've booked tomorrow off. Sounds like you definitely need it xxx

@Jane1284 what a fantastic news! I've got everything crossed for you for Saturday. Hope you'll have some for the freezer too! Roll on Saturday! Xxx

Gensola · 03/12/2020 20:40

I am passing a really alarming amount of fluid, definitely not pee as I can feel it coming out. It’s now soaked through 4 period pads and through to clothes. I rang clinic and they said to monitor for blood (it’s mostly clear or pale pink) and they’ll call me in the morning but there’s just so much of it! Has anyone else had this?

BrandyM · 03/12/2020 20:46

Oh @Gensola I'm so sorry you're going through this. I don't have experience of that to be of any use.

@MF1981 I know you went through a lot of pain with yours. Tagging you in just in case you have any advice?

OP posts:
MrsF1989 · 03/12/2020 21:00

@Mancbear88 eekkk, official test day is 11th, which will be 11 days post transfer. Already had this convo with hubby and he has said under no circumstances am to test any earlier than 9 days after... so we have both agreed to do it on 9th. I think by then we can be pretty certain the result is accurate, so won't spend time driving myself insane, which I will either way, so no winning really 🤣. I would test early but my hubs has serious will power and i feel like we both have to agree on it. Its so so tempting though 🙈🙊 . I have found today quite hard, I've convinced myself it hasn't worked, for absolutely no reason other than I feel a bit poorly so no embryo will want to stick around. Lol

@Gensola that sounds so awful 😥 you know how you feel and your body, so if you're concerned really push the point with them or could ring 111? Sounds really horrible Xxx

MF1981 · 03/12/2020 21:03

@Gensola really feel for you. I didn’t have that in terms of fluid so can’t help I’m afraid. I’m so sorry you’re really suffering hun. If you’re worried I would call your out of hours doctor - that’s what we did when I was struggling with breathing.

BrandyM · 03/12/2020 21:08

@Gensola seconding what @MrsF1989 said. If it doesn't get better soon I'd call 111 and see what they think. Thinking of you xxx
