So happy to hear your OHSS symptoms were a false alarm @MrsF1989 The last thing you want right now is to feel poorly on top of the stress of waiting! Hopefully your acupuncture relaxes you today. My acupuncturist wants me to go for a session before transfer and then straight after transfer. Seems like overkill but I've come so far I guess I will just go with what she says. Did you have to have it on transfer day? I'm feeling OK about transfer but just nervous that all 4 eggs will drop off on day 3 and I won't get to ET.
I feel your pain on the google front. I had to ban myself from the internet on Sunday and Monday just to give my brain a rest before EC. I was working myself up. xx

Kitttycatt · 02/12/2020 10:06

Hi everyone. Lots going on in this thread. Good luck to everyone going for scans and procedures.

@ShiMo that's a great number of follicles, hopefully they all catch up size wise.

@BrandyM my blood results show my oestrogen is really high unfortunately. The nurse said they are looking for a result under 60 for down regulation and mine was 460! I'm going in for another blood test Friday morning as this is the last possible date I can start stimms before Xmas. I can't see it going down that much though so mentally preparing for it to be cancelled 😞 the nurse said it's just bad timing and they would do everything the same if I need to start again in Jan, and my lining is the right size so good on that front. Just frustrating and a waste of 3/4 weeks!

Roo45 · 02/12/2020 10:10

I'm just so upset and frustrated. I suffered through side effects throughout and was quite unwell post transfer and almost needed to go to hospital and it's just for nothing. We don't even have any frosties so I'll have to put myself through this all over again. Another birth announcement today so I've deleted social media.
If I'd waited a few months I could have been seen on NHS but by the time the appointment came through we were all set to start our private cycle and I didn't want to wait anymore.
That might have failed too but at least I wouldn't be 5000 pound worse off and nothing to show for it.
Sorry, just having a pity party!

Sungirl11 · 02/12/2020 11:10

@Jane1284 it was good! Everyone was really nice. I had some bloods to test for the egg sharing side and bloods yesterday at my GP for the deseases.
I'm going to collect my medication today and just waiting for af to show so we can start the game.
I'm not sure if I am excited or scared about it... so many injections and everything that comes with this... 🙈

Good luck to everyone that had procedures today! I have it all crossed for you all! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

ivfhope3 · 02/12/2020 11:16

Hey everyone I've been my lining is thicken you. But the follicles are still small so have to go back Friday £150 every scan 😲😵

ShiMo · 02/12/2020 11:37

Thanks @Jane1284 and massive congrats on those awesome numbers!!

@Kitttycatt I’m so sorry to hear that, do they know what your estrogen is so high even during down regging? I’ve heard of women having to down reg for up to 6 weeks sometimes, so maybe that would be the case for you? Did you get your bleed bye?Fingers crossed for you.

@Roo45 aww this is a horrible process, but did you say OTD is Friday? Try to hold of testing till then, you may just need a couple more days for the hcg to develop.

@ivfhope3 I’m so pleased to hear there has been major progress! Great news!

@Sweets208 sorry to hear you’re feeling low, I get what you mean though. I haven’t had a hint of a BFP in over 2 years of TTC but I imagine to get that then to have it taken away from you is a million times harder.

Sorry if I’ve missed anyone, think some are EC/ET this week and some are in TWW?

I’m cramping slightly (day 10 of stims tonight) and have had a phew... ahem loose bowel movements (sorry for TMI)!! Not sure if the stims or my epic diet of full fat milk and beetroot that’s doing that though 😂

ShiMo · 02/12/2020 11:37

@Kitttycatt meant to say btw not bye!*

MrsF1989 · 02/12/2020 14:05

@Jane1284 acupuncture was great, definitely helps to calm me down. I went before and after transfer and I'm so glad, because jt really calmed me down before hand, for some reason the night before transfer I started stressing about absolutely everything. They put needles all in your ear which was a bit weird, but you've got to trust the process 🤣.

I am feeling surprisingly calm about everything today, trying to trust in science, my body and my lovely healthy embryo. 🥰 im sure its only temporary though, my normal state of over thinking will resume soon 🤣🤣. I think everything will be fine with your embryos, I dont think they would risk you having none by waiting for day 5, if they thought it was going to happen, they'd have popped them back in you 🙏🤞xxx

Jane1284 · 02/12/2020 15:57

@Roo45 there is nothing I can say to take away the frustration and sadness, just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you. It is awful to have to spend so much of our money on IVF when other people can get pregnant naturally. It seems so unfair. I really hope that when you have the strength and energy to try again that they will be able to use this round to help guide the next one and hopefully it will be more successful. sending lots of love in this hard time xx

@Sungirl11 very exciting you get to start soon. I hope AF comes ASAP x

@MrsF1989 good to hear you had acupuncture before and after too. I have been seeing a lady weekly for a while (Covid permitting) and she wanted to do a session morning of transfer and when I get home after transfer. I was wondering if it was necessary as it is not cheap but I figure I have nothing to lose so might as well. That's great you are having a calm day xx

Roo45 · 02/12/2020 16:42

Thanks everyone for your kind messages, this has really taken it out of me today but I will wait until Friday and see. good luck to all with upcoming transfers and collections I hope you all have positive results.
I just worry we ended up with 2 cc embryos and nothing to freeze that we go through the whole thing again with the same outcome as everything seemed to be going well well up until the transfer! But I guess this experience has taught me that nothing can be predicted with IVF

Gensola · 02/12/2020 16:58

I am feeling so sick now, I can’t bend or twist without pain in my ovaries. Tomorrow morning can’t come fast enough! DH is being a star and making comfort food for supper and going out to get me snacks for tomorrow after EC. I’m due there at 0830 and in theatre at 0900. Apprehensive but hopeful I have a bearable time like others have described recently!
@Roo45 this process is so punishing, my aunt and one of my best friends have also been through it and it really is a rollercoaster. Sending lots of strength.

lucymills1234 · 02/12/2020 19:52

Hi all, hope everyone is doing well. Sorry to hear you're so uncomfortable @Gensola, hope the EC alleviates the issues.

My EC was today and the actual procedure was absolutely fine. I felt the sedation and know I was talking to them on and off but had no pain during the collection. I came round fully in recovery feeling fine. I have some sore cramping type discomfort but it's manageable, so though everyone's body is different, if you have a similar experience I can reassure you it's completely fine!

My strange news is that though I had 8 follicles on my baseline and they were thinking 6 would be collected today, they actually got 11. When the embryologist called she didn't know the circumstances but said sometimes follicles can hide behind each other and not be seen easily on scans. It's good news, but I know some may have been collected from smaller follicles and not be mature, so not getting carried away.

My clinic don't call again until Friday when they'll tell me whether any fertilised and if they're developing. They don't do day 3 transfers, so I'll either get something to put back on day 5 or not at all - they said they can also wait to day 6 if needed. Now to wait!

BrandyM · 02/12/2020 22:42

Hi all,

Hope everyone is doing well!

A quick update from me: I had my transfer today. Of the 4 eggs that fertilised, 3 made it to grade 4 (highest grade) blastocyst. 1 is a little behind so they're going to wait to day 6 (tomorrow) to see if it also becomes a blast.

They transferred 1 and put 2 in the freezer.

This has far exceeded the clinic's as well as my own best case scenario (due to my super low AMH of 2.4). Really grateful for this outcome.

Xxx

Ah that's great to hear @BrandyM good luck for the 2ww!xx

Gensola · 03/12/2020 06:32

Fantastic news @BrandyM Star Flowers I am just on my way there now for my EC.
Feeling nervous and also hungry! Looking forward to the post EC snacks Grin

lucymills1234 · 03/12/2020 06:38

Great news @BrandyM! An amazing result on the quality front for sure. I hope the wait passes quickly.

lucymills1234 · 03/12/2020 06:39

Good luck with EC @Gensola. You’ll breeze through it.

ivfhope3 · 03/12/2020 07:00

@BrandyM how exciting for you, your finally there I'm so pleased for you. ❤️.. 2 of mine are day 6. And one day 5..
so are you on your 2WW?? Aww this brought a smile to my face for you.. being on the jorney together..

Ladies, so I've had problems with my lining. Even when I had implantation last time. It was still very low.. as all of us do we google and reserach everything.
I've Been taking vitamin E supplements, my lining at day 13 this week was 6.5
It's was that on day 20 last time.
It jumper from 5.3 Monday to 6.5 Wednesday, the nurses said the was amazed so I said I've been taking VIT E.. they said they might start recommending this to there patients.. so anyone with lining issues.. may want to give it ago.. it may not be that but, considering it's not been thick at all I'm say it is lol.. xxxx

Hope everyone is well xxxx

MrsF1989 · 03/12/2020 07:25

@BrandyM that's amazing news, I bet you are so so happy. Welcome to the TWW, its a fun place to be 😆! I've just spent an hour in bed googling stuff, even though I promised myself I wouldn't. 🤣 I also have woken feeling super tired and a bit unwell, which obvs either means its going to deffo work or not work at all... can't just be totally unrelated lol.

@Gensola best of luck, you will be honestly fine and enjoy having a nice afternoon of resting xxx

Kitttycatt · 03/12/2020 07:32

good luck today @Gensola

@Roo45 sorry to hear that, this process is so frustrating. Look after yourself and try to enjoy Christmas and go again in the new year once you feel ready.

@BrandyM great results! Bet you are relieved.

@ShiMo the hormones are being produced by these large follicles/cysts but I'm not sure why after all this down regulation. I will ask on Friday. Maybe I've had them even before is started- who knows! How are you getting on? When is EC?

Jane1284 · 03/12/2020 07:46

Wow @lucymills1234- that is such great news. So glad you got 11. What a lovely surprise. Sorry you have to wait until tomorrow but I hope you get great news.

Great news @BrandyM So happy to hear all your eggs are great quality. Good luck with the TWW. So good having two in the freezer too for the future!

Nice work on your lining @ivfhope3 So glad it is moving in the right direction and the nurses are impressed with the progress.

Hope everyone else is coping OK with the waiting. I am waiting on my day 3 news of my embryos today. So scared for bad news but praying that they call and say at least one is going to make it to day 5. Keeping everything crossed!

ivfhope3 · 03/12/2020 07:55

@Jane1284 fingers crossed on your day 3 hun. Thinking of you xc

BrandyM · 03/12/2020 08:28

Morning everyone and thanks so much for your messages 🙏

Just received a call on the last embryo. That also made blast stage and will be in the freezer with the other 2 making it a total of 3 in the freezer.

If anyone with very low AMH/low AFC and a diagnosis of premature ovarian insufficiency or Diminished ovarian reserve is reading this, I just want you to know there's hope.

Just been told that if they collect more than 20 eggs I’ll be forced to have a freeze all. Not because I’m showing any signs of OHSS but because I «might» become sick and overburden the NHS. Am furious.

BrandyM · 03/12/2020 08:44

Fingers crossed for everyone with key appointments / calls today 🤞🏽 xx
