@Gensola Thank you! In terms of meds, they asked me to start progesterone the day after EC. My progesterone is an injection called ‘Lubion’ which is more painful than the stims injections to be honest. Yours might be Pessaries? Xx

That's amazing news @BrandyM ! To go from worry that you might get nothing to 3 top quality at this stage is incredible. Bet you can't wait to get to day 5 now!

Gensola · 30/11/2020 19:44

@BrandyM yes I have a nice pile of pessaries waiting for me Grin

BrandyM · 30/11/2020 19:49

@lucymills1234 I know, tell me about it! Another example of what a rollercoaster this process is.

To be honest I can’t help but wonder if different embryologist approach this whole thing differently.

The one that called me on Saturday came across as very abrupt/brusque/impatient.

The one I spoke to today was so easy to talk to, explained everything in detail and even asked me how I was doing and really welcomed and patiently answered all my questions. I’m hoping she’s not being too optimistic/nice about my day 5 outlook. However, regardless of their approach, they still have to remain professional and communicate just the facts right? Xx

@lucymills1234 Great to hear you had EC confirmed for Wednesday. The sizes look very good too! And your 11mm might catch up as well!

Why are they worried about your 25mm one? Or has it gone past 25mm?

11mm lining is a fantastic number! They told me they want it to be above 7.5mm.

Good luck with the trigger tonight - what time is it? Xx

@Gensola Sorry I only just saw your message about continuing to stim. Sorry to hear that as I know you’re not feeling great and were keen to have a couple of injection free days.

I had the same worries re size when they wanted me to continue stimming despite having a couple large ones and some smaller ones. I was worried that I’d lose the big ones and the small ones won’t catch up in time and that I’d end up with nothing. However, they know exactly what they’re doing and they wouldn’t ask you to continue if they think you’ll end up with fewer mature eggs than if they proceeded with EC on Wednesday.

Not long to go now. Hang in there! I’m sure you are already doing this but continue drinking plenty of water to ease the discomfort. Xxx

@MrsF1989 congrats on your transfer today! Hope the 2WW flies by for you! I bet it would be the best Christmas present when you get your BFP (positive thoughts!). Did you end up with any to freeze in the end? Xx

Ofpalestsilver · 30/11/2020 20:38

@BrandyM that sounds positive! My fingers are crossed for you.

@Gensola what a pain that you have to stim another day but hopefully it’s all for the greater good.

BrandyM · 30/11/2020 20:48

@Kitttycatt so sorry to hear that you have two large follicles after down regulating for 3 weeks. I have everything crossed for you that they're not producing hormones. Please let us know what they say tomorrow xxx

BrandyM · 30/11/2020 20:54

@Jane1284 fantastic news all around! Praying that all 4 fertilise when they call you tomorrow. How are you feeling today after your EC? Hope not too tired. Are you back to work tomorrow or taking it easy? Xx

MrsF1989 · 30/11/2020 20:59

@BrandyM it really would be the best Xmas pressie 🥰!! Yes, so all 11 made it to blastocyst stage (which js amazing!), 5 of them high quality and they are leaving the others for a few more hours and expect to have a few more to put in the freezer, but as it stands there will be 4 frosties waiting for me, which I am so thankful for.

I am in a bit of a panic at the moment though because since coming back from the hosp, I've convinced myself I have a tight chest and can't get a full breath, so worried I have OHSS developing. I will be drinking all the water to try and reduce any symptoms. I feel fine apart from that though, no bloating, pain or nausea, etc xxx

Roo45 · 30/11/2020 21:24

Sorry busy day at work was off sick last week post transfer and trying to catch up. What amazing news @MrsF1989 and @BrandyM.
So sorry @dragonfly1978 and @rachae thinking of you both hope you are having a well deserved break.
Sorry if I've missed anyone xx

lucymills1234 · 30/11/2020 22:32

Hi @BrandyM I agree that the staff you deal with make all the difference. I've not come across anyone who's rude, but some are better at putting you at ease and answering questions and others seem to want to get you in and out (or off the phone). Such good news for you though that you have strong contenders, it makes the next steps very exciting for you!

My trigger is at midnight. I don't dare get in bed as I'll definitely nod off! I don't think it's likely that the 11mm will catch up, but I hope the 14mm might just make it to give me 7, though the clinic is aiming for 6. Apparently, once a follicle gets beyond 24mm it's probably too mature and no longer good quality. Which is why I worried a bit about taking more stims tonight given there are two already at 22mm, but trust they know what's what... TIme will tell!

Jane1284 · 01/12/2020 07:54

@BrandyM so happy to see your great news from the embryologist. Must be so exciting knowing you have something to transfer and hopefully some to freeze! That's the dream. Woohoo.

I am back working today. Busiest day of the month for me so really happy EC didn't happen today as I would have been even more stressed! At least I have work to keep me busy. I have asked the embryologist to call my fiancé rather than me as I can't deal with the stress of waiting for a phone call all morning.

Ofpalestsilver · 01/12/2020 08:07

Caved and tested one day early as I couldn’t sleep last night. Negative. What a disappointment. I don’t feel crushed, just sad. It would have just been too easy to be positive. Sad that I have to go through all this stress again. And that I have to wait to 2021 to do the next round. But Christmas is coming and I’ll enjoy that best I can.

Jane1284 · 01/12/2020 08:28

I'm so sorry @Ofpalestsilver That is very sad. This journey is so bloody hard. I hope you are feeling OK. Do you think you'll go for another IUI or will you look into IVF for the next round? Sending lots of love your way. I hope you enjoy Christmas and all the best for Jan! xx

Gensola · 01/12/2020 08:30

@Ofpalestsilver I’m so sorry to hear this. Sending lots of strength and love. Take care of yourself over the next few weeks, and know we are all here if you want to rant or a hand hold. Flowers

lucymills1234 · 01/12/2020 08:41

So sorry to hear that @Ofpalestsilver. There's no words to ease the disappointment. The wait must be so hard, but if you can, try to see it as an opportunity in disguise - to take some forced time off to let your body recover and your mind unwind a bit. I hope you're able to enjoy Christmas and come back to this in January refreshed.

BrandyM · 01/12/2020 09:08

@Ofpalestsilver I'm so sorry to hear this. We are all here for you. Sending you lots of love xxx

@Ofpalestsilver I am so sorry. You must be so upset. Try and enjoy Xmas as much as possible and focus on 2021 being your year 🙏 xx

MF1981 · 01/12/2020 09:24

So sorry @dragonfly1978 and @Rachae

Ofpalestsilver · 01/12/2020 09:26

Thanks everyone.

@Jane1284 I paid for a three cycle package (essentially buy two get one free) so I’ll give it another punt or two before heading to IVF. I did think about going straight to IVF but let’s see what happens here. Plus maybe I can lose some more weight ahead of IVF since it’s so tough on the body (I’m very overweight but currently losing)

dragonfly1978 · 01/12/2020 09:27

@Ofpalestsilver am so sorry, thinking of you x

MF1981 · 01/12/2020 09:28

Great news @BrandyM and @MrsF1989

So sorry @Ofpalestsilver
