@lucymills1234 so happy for you! It’s really cheered me up hearing your brilliant news. Flowers hurrah!

MrsF1989 · 07/12/2020 11:40

Thanks everyone. Im now tricking myself as I didnt use my FMU. I got up to go to the loo at 4.30am, realised my boobs had stopped hurting, had a panic, drank some water, tested an hour later, I also used the clear blue first response test which isn't as sensitive as the one with the pink lines. Am I being stupid to hold out some hope? Xx

MrsF1989 · 07/12/2020 11:40

@lucymills1234 thats great news!! 🙏

Jane1284 · 07/12/2020 11:56

Not being stupid at all @MrsF1989- there is definitely still hope. You need to use held urine so that doesn't sound like a reliable test. It is also quite early to test. I know it is hard but I would really try to hold off for 2 days and make sure you get FMU. Fingers crossed! xx

lucymills1234 · 07/12/2020 16:04

Thanks so much @ivftake3 @Sungirl11 @Jane1284 @Gensola @MrsF1989 :)

Transfer done and my 5AA blast is now on board. The process was super quick. Felt so weird to be getting in the car to drive myself home about 10 minutes later. Another 5AA (think it was 5AA, something of a blur) was about to be frozen and they'll keep an eye on the other and update me tomorrow. I know there's still a long way to go, but it's a better result than I could've hoped for after my first post-collection update.

@Jane1284 are you managing to keep your mind occupied and off the wait?

@Gensola your turn so so soon!

Jane1284 · 07/12/2020 16:11

That's great @lucymills1234 - glad you have a top quality blast on board and another in the freezer. The others should hopefully catch-up overnight. What a great result! Welcome to the TWW!

My mind is fine right now because the OTD is so far away. I may be singing a different tune next week. I can't stop sneezing today so I am hoping I am not getting a cold.

ShiMo · 07/12/2020 17:28

How is everyone? Hope you’re all doing ok.

I have EC tomorrow finally. Needed 13 days of stimming, which was 3 jabs a day and I bruise like a peach, but finally triggered last night. I went from being worried I had very little follicles on my suppressed scan, which resulted in my meds being adjusted, to then being told my ovaries were responding but slowly, to having to do it for longer which then had me worried I was displaying some OHSS symptoms! I had some spotting from about day 8 to day 12 which scared me.

When they extended my stims, I was given more Menopur but it was in a different vial than what I had before (which is a real bitch btw). They didn’t give me the snapper thing to break the glass vial off, so I had to snap it off using my fingers and smashed the glass! Luckily I saved most of the liquid in the vial but there was some major panic and flapping on my part and I almost burst into tears, it was my last day of stims as well! I was scared I was going to inject glass into my belly 😩

Also, I was initially given the wrong prescription for trigger! Luckily I checked before I drove off but I was to be on 10000 gonasi and they only gave me 5000, which I’d already collected from the pharmacy. So had to go back, get another prescription for 5000, then queue up again. Good job I checked!

Thinking of you all as well, this can be a lonely process. I’ve been a bit all over the place the last couple of days, not sure if it’s the anticipation or meds!

BrandyM · 07/12/2020 19:08

@MF1981 Sorry to hear that you got BFN today. However, as all the others have said, I think 7dp5dt is a bit early. Coupled with the sample not being FMU, I’d say it’s more likely not reliable. However, at least now you’ve tested out the HCG from the trigger! I’d wait until 10dp if you can and test with the FRER early detection and FMU.

See below link which I found really useful on the day by day of what happens during the 2WW. I think by now implantation would’ve occurred but it takes 10 days until hCG levels are high enough to detect on an HPT.

www.conceptfertility.co.uk/2017/05/31/what-happens-after-an-embryo-transfer/amp/

I also have zero symptoms. My sore boobs are not as sore anymore. The lack of symptoms worried me so much that I checked in with a friend today who had twins via IVF and she told me that she didn’t have any symptoms until 2/3 months into the pregnancy and even then it was just an aversion to certain foods and a low appetite.

Of course everyone is different but as my friend reminded me, you hear about those women who give birth at 7 months and didn't even realise they were pregnant.

It’s such a stressful time. The worry just never stops does it?

Hope you’re not feeling too down considering the circumstances of the BFN. Sending you lots of love xx

@lucymills1234 What a fantastic news! So so happy for you! Great qualities as well. Hope the 3rd one is doing well as well. Good luck with the update on that one too! Xx

@ShiMo great to hear your updates! Best of luck with your EC tomorrow. Sounds like you've gone through a lot getting to this point. Hopefully it all goes very smoothly for you from here on.

Let's know how EC goes tomorrow when you're ready. Sending you lots of positive vibes xx

Great news @lucymills1234!

Good luck tomorrow @ShiMo!

Hopefully this was a false negative for you @MrsF1989

Roo45 · 07/12/2020 20:30

Great news @lucymills1234 @MrsF1989 I think it's still too early and holding out some hope for you! I know the feeling as our only issue seemed to be mfi and we had icsi but we failed unfortunately with none suitable to freeze. Trying to build myself up to try another round, I had really hoped we'd at least get a good number of embryos if nothing else

Jane1284 · 08/12/2020 08:01

Good luck with Egg Collection today @ShiMo - it's a long stressful journey to get to this day but you've done it! I hope all goes well xx

Gensola · 08/12/2020 10:00

Clinic called - they’ve frozen two embryos today, both of middling quality so not amazing but not low quality either. Trying not to google B grade success stories. They’re letting the rest grow til tomorrow to see if they get any more. They seem to be a bit lazy - imo this means they are probably all boys Grin

Roo45 · 08/12/2020 13:52

How did it go @ShiMo @gensola that's so great you have a few in the freezer now too!xx

lucymills1234 · 08/12/2020 16:53

I hope your EC went well @ShiMo.

Great news on the few in the freezer @Gensola a strong position to be in!

Sadly my third blast won’t be frozen. Clinic said they wouldn’t recommend freezing as quality wasn’t quite good enough and I took their advice. Still a decent result overall, I think, though the million dollar question is always going to be exactly how good!!

Jane1284 · 08/12/2020 17:23

Great news on the freezing of two embryos @Gensola and @lucymills1234 xx

ShiMo · 08/12/2020 18:45

Great news @Gensola! Sorry the third one didn’t make it @lucymills1234 but as you say, you still have a very decent result!!

@MrsF1989 I hope you’re ok and fingers crossed for you for OTD.

Thank you all for well wishes, you’re an awesome bunch 😊 EC went well thanks, they got 7 eggs which I was quite disappointed with at first as I was hoping that my other smaller follies would have caught up so I was holding out for maybe 10. But that was probably too reaching for my stubborn ovaries! Anxiously waiting for that all important update call tomorrow.

BrandyM · 08/12/2020 19:05

Good news @Gensola and @lucymills1234 xx

Glad to hear it all went well @ShiMo. Hope you're getting plenty of rest today. Best of luck for the call tomorrow xx

Thanks @BrandyM, and how are you doing? When is OTD for you? X

lucymills1234 · 08/12/2020 22:08

Thanks @Jane1284 @BrandyM @ShiMo one transferred and one in the freezer is more than I expected after Friday’s call.

7 eggs is still good! Fingers crossed for a good fertilisation rate Smile

Jane1284 · 09/12/2020 07:50

Great work @ShiMo and good luck for the call today. I hope they don't keep you waiting too long xx

Gensola · 09/12/2020 10:25

None of our other embryos made it, so we just have the two Frosties. Hopefully one of those will stick! Planning a FET in Jan.

Sungirl11 · 09/12/2020 12:15

Hi everyone!
I went to my scan today and some of my follicles have grown a lot, 6 of them will go over the limit if they wait so they said depending on my hormone they will have to do EC on Friday instead of Sunday. 🙈
Not sure if it's good or bad news...

How are you all doing?
