Been waiting on a FET since we were put on July's list and I've heard from our clinic this week that I've to call them when AF rocks up in October for a November FET. We had our fresh cycle in January, had a BFP, but found there was no heartbeat at the 11 week scan in March (MMC) - it's been a bit of a roller-coaster so far this year (as if covid craziness wasn't enough!).

Found having a thread to go through it all with a massive emotional support, so looking for some MN buddies to do it all again with. Good luck ladies and looking forward to 'meeting' you 🍀🙂

Totally understand re the tests @TheGlitterFairy 👍😂 I have never seen 2 lines so am sure when it finally happens I'll be doing a fair few!!

@MGee123 excellent news about your 6 eggs! Lets hope they all turn into lovely plump embies.

@Gardenlady543 Good luck with your scan tomorrow! As for abstinence my clinic say 2-3 days.

@EasterBunny7 congrats on being PUPO! Wooooo! I'm dreading the 2WW as i'll be constantly watching. I don't think lockdown will help me as i'm not working so nothing to take my mind off it! @ChicaXS @SpyroC each day is a day nearer to test date!

Thank you @BambiOnIce80 @mgee123. Today went well. I have 8-10 follicles that are 'big' and 5 more that are 'intermediate'. My normal doctor has been on holiday for the last week so i've been seeing someone else who speaks zero English. I've been finding it hard to ask questions but she was positive so i am too. I have my trigger in 2 hours and then have to be at the hospital on friday morning at 7am! Its finally happening!

Sorry if i've missed anyone - i'm still trying to get used to being more involved than just typing a message!!

I had the worst carb cravings this round @BambiOnIce80 @ChicaXS I think it was because last time I religiously followed the advice to improve egg quality and reduce endo and my worst round 🙈 my body was screaming "why bother" at me. But I persevered. Not sure it really makes a difference tbh!

Congratulations @EasterBunny7 did you go for 1 or 2 in the end. My tip is to stay occupied! This is definitely the hardest part. 1st few days of pupo are lovely though. 9dp5dt/14 dpo is generally accepted as safe but my clinic otd is 13dp5dt! Don't t test too early it's not worth the stress.

Congratulations on your 6 eggies @MGee123 . I have everything tossed for good news tomorrow! My DH swimmers get better every time. He benefits from my egg diet more than I do! 😂

That's interesting @Gardenlady543 my clinic day 2-3 days abstinence...yet another thing they can't all agree on then.

Good luck for tomorrow @MF1981 Egg collection is genuinely fine (I am a massive wuss too). Granted I never have many follicles though.

So today's pessary gunk 10dp5dt update is that I am feeling negative today. Probably a combination of lack of sleep, progesterone (hopefully hcg) and covid school stuff! It's such a head fuck, I really had to discipline myself not to test yesterday. I'm quite liking the pupo bubble and that my otd lands on a Saturday so if it's bad news I have all weekend to recover and eat ALL the bad food and 🍷. I also experienced a new symptom...random 3am arousal! 🙈 🤞🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻 Thats a good sign, it's certainly not a period symptom! 😂

@MGee123 I think I was worried as they said the procedure is under sedation but they told me this week that propofol is used in the regime so hopefully I’ll be pretty much knocked out, if I’m aware of what’s happening I’ll be moving all over the place!

@Birdladybird oh that’s good to know about the sperm, I was worried that he may have ejaculated too close to the EC if It goes ahead on Saturday since I told him to sort release today, but it sounds like it will be fine.

The Saturday OTD sounds good @SpyroC - I like your thinking! I think ours will be a Friday if it all works out so similar thought process! Might take that day off work and have a long weekend..! Well done for holding out on the testing 👏 hope you feel a little better tomorrow

Does anyone know what’s the latest day of your cycle they will transfer fresh? I’m currently CD15 (13 on stims). My collection will be Friday with ET on Monday at CD20? Does that sound late or is it different now I’m pumped full of drugs?

I don't think it matters @Birdladybird? As you will be on progesterone pessaries or similar to mimic the luteal phase of your cycle?

I had EC today CD15 so ET will potentially be CD20 as they are planning to do a 5 day one 👍 (we'll be back in sync!)

I'm sure others will know better than me though as I'm a newbie to this!

@MGee123 thank you. I was suddenly worrying about that tonight they do 3 day transfers here so we will be back in sync. I’m taking Duphaston orally so no pessaires for me. Surprising really as the french love any excuse to use them .

I'm only 2 pessaries in and I'm not loving them 😂 yay to being back in sync!

So, it seems they forgot to give me the disclosure that if a lot of embryos don't make it to day 3, then they'll insert 2 embryos. Luckily, they were plenty at that point and I made it to day 5, so only had 1 inserted. The downside was I didn't have many make it to day 5

I'm curious to know how many people have already got a bfp in this cycle of November? It's really hard to keep track and to scroll back to the beginning

@EasterBunny7 oh that’s interesting. I’ve had conversations about a double transfer. The specialist said that she wouldn’t recommend it but that it’s my choice. I have always wanted twins and I’m very healthy so I’m swaying towards a double transfer at the moment. I’ve read a lot of the evidence over the last few weeks.

I had a bad nights sleep last night. Things are getting really uncomfortable and I felt really sick. I was at the clinic this morning for a day 9 of injection scan. The follicles have been growing still and 3 were over 17mm, the nurse said that I need to wait for phone confirmation this afternoon but it’s almost certain I’ll have the trigger tonight and EC on sat, I was keen to wait until Monday to increase the amount of eggs to as many as possible but not sure I can cope with the pain and lack of sleep for another 4 nights. The plan will then be to do the ET most likely on Thursday.

Congratulations on being pupo @EasterBunny7! 🥳🥳🥳 I'd suggest a combination of keeping your mind as distracted as possible and gentle walks to keep blood flowing. My clinic recommended watching plenty of comedies - studies have apparently shown that women who laughed more straight after transfer had better outcomes!

Excellent work on getting those 6 eggs out @MGee123 💪 Great that you're feeling fine too 😊 I ended up with mild OHSS the next day and felt like death warmed up! Sounds like you're taking it all in your stride 👍

Random 3am arousal sounds like it should be a new BFP symptom @SpyroC! 😂 Saturday test day sounds amazing! There's no way I could concentrate on work, whatever the result. Not long to go now 🤞🍀🤞🍀

First pessary done here, so awaiting the tide of gunk 😬 I have stocked up with many, many panty liners to thwart the gunkiness! 🩲😁

I just got the call, my oestrogen is at 6000 so they said no more injections, just the trigger tonight and they will do the EC first thing on Saturday. Errrg scary stuff!!

Mixed news from me today... lining didn't grow from the last scan and the clinic advise to cancel but I've said I want to go ahead regardless, I can't go through a third cancelled cycle without even giving the embryo a chance of implanting. So I'll get a call tomorrow with a date to start progesterone

I'm sorry that it's been mixed news @ivfjourney5 💐 Remind me how thick your clinic want your lining to be? The only reason I ask is because mine mentioned that they used to say 8mm but reviewed the protocol and changed it to 7mm. Good luck with your call tomorrow 🍀🍀🍀

@BambiOnIce80 they like 8mm but will transfer at 7mm for people who struggle. I'm at 6mm but this is the maximum I've ever reached so I figure it's worth a shot as I'm very fortunate to have a lot of frozen embryos. They've already rang me with my dates, so I start progesterone on the 26th so there's another week for the oestrogen to magically work, with transfer on the 1st! I hope the gunk wasn't too bad for you this morning 😬

@MF1981 brilliant! I got the same number of eggs as you when I had my collection. Get the comfy clothes out and keep yourself comfortable. I was taking cocodamol regularly for the first few days and drinking lots and lots of water
