Sept IVF/FET

I can’t see a Sept cycle up yet so thought I’d start one. Currently TTC #2. Our March FET was postponed due to Covid and we had a FET in July which sadly resulted in a BFN last week. Had our follow up last night and to our surprise we can try again straight away so signing consents next week and starting down reg in 2.5 weeks. Told the cycle went perfectly and must have been an embryo issue so we aren’t changing protocol but going for double embryo transfer this time. Anyone else looking to cycle/ transfer in Sept? Or am I a bit early/ keen 😂

Thanks everyone - had a good cry and snuggled with the cat and on a more even keel again now, though feeling a bit less positive than I have been recently.

@79andnotout congratulations on the transfer! Sorry it was so uncomfortable. I hope you have your feet up now!

@Sian7919 to second @ivfjourney5 my egg collection was 36 hours after trigger. I was in the clinic for 8 and out by lunchtime but at least an hour and a half of that was hanging around waiting to see after the procedure - they wanted to check all was in order but despite chugging back water it was ages until I managed to go!

@Sian7919 my trigger was 10.30 and the egg collection was at 9.30 ish, I was out of the clinic by midday.

@Tarsette I have a mountain of work and have exams next week too so I will be distracted at least.

I'd bloody love to go for a run to take my mind off things. I'm really missing proper exercise. Walking the dogs doesn't cut it.

I am struggling to stay calm for tomorrow. The last update we had was on Friday when the embryos were doing as they should. I am dreading the update tomorrow and just don't think I am going to get any sleep. On our first cycle it all went wrong when we got to day 5. DH can't get out of work so I will be on my own. I keep trying to tell myself that I have been taking every supplement under the sun since the last cycle and they managed to use slow sperm but I just feel nauseous with the thought of tomorrow. Sorry we haven't told anyone this time and I dont want to make DH feel any more guilty than he already does because he can't be there, so you guys are my sounding board!

@UnicornPuff I have my scan tomorrow before EC so I’m stressing a bit as well. I mean I don’t have any previous experience from it so I can’t help with that matter but I can help and stress with you! Even though we won’t have anything to worry about. Good luck tomorrow

@UnicornPuff @Alexm06 I don’t have any magic words to make the stress go away but I have my fingers tightly crossed for a good result for you both tomorrow 🤞🤞🤞

@UnicornPuff - don't stress about being stressed - I think I read that somewhere. It's natural you are panicking after last time. It's shit, and worrying, give in to it. Hopefully all will be ok but at least you'll know soon. Good luck!

I've been pretty sanguine about all of this as I didn't think I had much of a chance but now I'm actually PUPO I'm starting to feel stressed as I now have something to lose. Shit! This is gonna be a long two weeks.

@UnicornPuff i know there’s nothing I can say to take the stress and anxiety away but like you said you’ve done everything you possibly can and so much of this is outside of our control. I have my fingers crossed everything goes perfectly tomorrow. Will be thinking of you xx

I think a few people have scans etc tomorrow - hope it’s a good day for you all!

Is anyone taking Lubion and cyclogest? I have to take both twice a day but wandering if I should space them out? As in, is it ok to do a Lubion injection immediately followed by a cyclogest pessary?

My appointment is at 9 but just had the embryologist call. We are having a single transfer this time and one being popped in the freezer. We have an early blast they will keep watching which if it catches up will be freezable. I have had a little cry so must look brilliant to the rest of the people waiting to go in! I am so happy its ridiculous!

I'm heading in for my first scan & bloods this morning (day 8 of stims), feeling a bit nervous - as long as I can get to the next stage I'll be relieved. Had a bit of a tough weekend as I'm in Glasgow where we have extra restrictions, so really having not much social contact at all, and so paranoid about going out & about even to a coffee shop on my own in case I get a Test & Protect call. Feeling less wobbly this morning.

Just had my my scan. Said I’m ready to go so will be triggering tomorrow night ready to go in at 8.30 Thursday! All getting a bit to real now and starting to freak out a little bit.

I had my first scan today and the nurse said I’m a slow grower. The biggest follicle I had was 9mm on day 7 of stims. She said I may need to have more injections and don’t want to up my dose due to the OHSS risk. I asked how many follicles I had and she said 23 but said it was ‘ok’ ... she didn’t seem too impressed lol. I think 23 is good no? lol their still AFC size however and just not growing which sucks. Has this happened to anyone here? X

@79andnotout how are you dealing with the stress? I find that immediately after I get the info I want from scans, ec, etc I feel quite calm and happy and then about a day later I start to work myself up again until I get to the next bit! When is your test day?

@zebra80 hope your scan goes well. I hope your stims go nice and quickly so you won't have to stay quite so isolated. Keep to the precautions and only do what you are comfortable with. Until ec I self isolated because 2 weeks in seems better than losing money with a cancelled cycle!

My EC went ok. 9 eggs collected which was more than they thought.

I have never felt so nervous to be honest.

Weird whilst waiting for EC mine and DH song came on the radio which was a sign I recon.
