Sept IVF/FET

I can’t see a Sept cycle up yet so thought I’d start one. Currently TTC #2. Our March FET was postponed due to Covid and we had a FET in July which sadly resulted in a BFN last week. Had our follow up last night and to our surprise we can try again straight away so signing consents next week and starting down reg in 2.5 weeks. Told the cycle went perfectly and must have been an embryo issue so we aren’t changing protocol but going for double embryo transfer this time. Anyone else looking to cycle/ transfer in Sept? Or am I a bit early/ keen 😂

Great news for all regarding scans @HavingFaith (that is amazing lining - how long were you on progynova? Dose?) @Eggling
and fertilised eggs @UnicornPuff egg collections@Alexm06. @ivfjourney5 sorry that it wasnt what it was expected but dont despair! Did they increase the dose? Probably other people had higher doses! And i am sure you will Get there!

My scan went okay - there are loads of small immature ones but the ones that are larger are not ready to be triggered so I’ve had to get more meds (yay more money on the credit card) and probably won’t trigger until Monday now - likely for egg collection on Wednesday. Not the end of the world I guess. Nurse says it’s better to wait until they’re mature enough which absolutely makes sense. Another scan on Monday to see how things are going. Fingers and toes crossed for everyone xX

@JandL2020 that sounds positive (except the extra £!) hope Monday shows growth so you’re ready to trigger.

@HavingFaith thanks! Well done and bring on embryo transfer day! Usually transfer is 5 days after starting progesterone.

Dwelling on my bad news won't help matters so I'm off to Holland and Barrett to stock up on royal jelly and raspberry leaf. If I go overboard there's no such things as too thick of a lining right?

@ivfjourney5 sorry about the delay :-( Hope the extra medication and a bit more time does the trick. Go for it at H&B - I always go in there thinking I'm just going to buy some teabags and come out with all sorts of skincare and trail bars and chocolate and nice smelling things!

@79andnotout Hope your two both fertilise and develop well and fingers crossed for Sunday. I'm about the same age as you I think and trying to keep in mind that any eggs at all is a decent outcome...

@JandL2020 sounds like progress - hopefully next week will be perfect timing and you'll get a good haul.

I spoke to the nurse this morning re my leftover menopur - after asking me exactly how I'd been doing things she wasn't sure but said it might just be a manufacturing issue with slightly too much fluid, and to start a fresh vial tonight anyway. I drew up the last bit into a syringe to see exactly how much was left and it was maybe about 2/3 of a dose, so not the end of the world.

Definitely starting to feel that engorged lower tummy feeling, I feel like I can't quite walk normally although it's not painful, just odd!

So day 10 scan they saw over 10 follicles but 6 were a good size and around about the same size.

Clinic called a little while ago and told me to start progesterone injections and pessaries this Sunday. ET is scheduled for next Friday 11th! Excited, anxious and everything in between xx

Took gonal f injection at 6pm - looked like lots squirted out - maybe I’m overthinking it 🤔 anyone else had this? X

@ivfjourney5 think I was meant to change the dose first before putting the needle on 🤔 anyway I don’t stress too much. What’s good for helping eggs to mature - diet wise? The nurse told me to drink lots of water x

@zebra80 premixed/ready vials normally come with a little extra so if you have just under a dose left that sounds right. I doubt you have made a mistake anywhere.

I dont remember this from last time but I think with the cyclogest I have really painful nipples! I would like to say that will be one that I can rule out from the symptom spotting that will start on Monday but I am pretty sure I will start to obsess about everything the second after transfer!

I have EC Monday. I have covered myself in work for 3 days and can do more if needed but on advice of friend she said play it by ear. ( she has had multiple ivf resulting in her 1percent chance of success actually working.).

I am somebody who craves normality and provided I am not too ill work will suit me. Do you think this sounds ok or am I insane?

Also I have a hair cut booked next week should I cancel that?

Off to get dressing gown and slippers today as that isn’t something I own.

Also the gonasi injection the actual syringe looks so shot. Meaning mixing it will be fun!!

Hi ladies, I'm just checking in, I've been lurking and watching & reading as not much is going on here. So pleased there's loads of positivity around & things moving a pace for ppl!

@ivfjourney5 my lining was thin last time & then I was given extra time and tablets and mine came good & I got a BFP.

I've just started my AF so I'm now starting my estrodil today & got lining scan for 16th hopefully with FET 23rd so finally got a plan for us too. 🤞🏻

Currently going through second round of IVF after BFN in July. This is a FET where as last time was fresh and I’m 3 days post transfer and feeling so much more nauseous and sick that I did the first go. Anyone else find that?

@thefishthatcouldwish I took a dressing gown and slippers but I didn't use either, I wouldn't say go out and buy them specifically if you don't any, they aren't essential

@Minster2012 thanks! I was up last night worrying that it'll be cancelled, the first measurement she took yesterday was only 4.8!! If it's taken me 15 days to only get to 4.8 I don't think realistically I'll get it thick enough in the next 6 days. Despite that I am doing all that I can now, I've had a kick up the bum, come to a local city this morning for a brisk walk down by the racecourse and the river... bliss! Might come a few days next week before the scan as well

No one has mentioned anything about lining thickness to me in this whole process, when does that conversation come in? I have really light periods (I use a mooncup so know it's really light, just a few mls over three days), so I did worry about that. I'll ask tomorrow.

Of my two harvested eggs, one has fertilised, making the decision of which egg to transfer from this cycle pretty straightforward. There's a lot resting on this poor lonely egg from my one free nhs cycle! . No pressure, dude!

@ivfjourney5 your lining can increase in a few days so be positive. During my fresh cycle from lining 5.6 it went to 11 in 4 days. As i was poor responder i was taking lots of protein (whey protein as extra around 25g) light exercise and femora vein massage. l-arginine and vitamin e helps a lot. And warm environment!

Hello all - just been for a walk and really felt my ovaries was quite uncomfortable. Just realised I’m one shot short of Fyremadel on Monday morning before my scan at 11am. Maybe they can give me one then if required?! X

@JandL2020 I would think they would be able to. They had to give me another 2 to last me till my next scan which they gave me right there and then.
