Hi, we are starting a FET this month after a bit of back and forth with the clinic. Start downreg on Fri with ET hopefully first week of July. Wondering if anyone else cycling around the same time? X

@SnarkWeek I missed out that husband didn't attend due to work as commute each way plus appointment time meant pretty much whole morning. We decided best for us for me to go alone. I'm not a big fan of fussing either so worked well for me and him.

gemmabissell · 01/07/2020 17:29

FET Baseline-
I had my baseline for FET this morning, I have a very small cyst on my left ovary, they have said it won’t affect anything and that I can carry on which is brilliant. But naturally I am now worrying and can’t find anything on dr google, does anyone have any success stories of having a small cyst and went on to get an BFP?

RosettaR · 01/07/2020 19:36

@Bestofyou1982 that's something to look forward to then lol! I have enjoyed having sedation at other times, and it's an excuse to sit and watch tv for a day, and get DH to wait on me, which is nice.

@Rovera12 I think it's normal for your period to be late while down regulating. Mine was a few days late. My clinic said not to worry even if you've not had a bleed by the time of your scan (that would be over 2 weeks late!). They said it just takes some people longer. I'm sure yours will be along soon, - your lining won't hang around forever while your hormones are being suppressed.

@SnarkWeek glad your scan went well too! That sounds like good numbers. Maybe we will be together with our EC too! Mine will be either Monday or Wednesday next week.

@BeHereNowx32 glad your lining has been given approval! I think you're right to go with what the doctor says and go ahead now.

Bestofyou1982 · 01/07/2020 19:45

Still getting stomach cramping this evening and twinges. Hope it means something good is happening? Don't remember feeling like this with last transfer.

@gemmabissell If the clinic said the cyst won't affect anything then surely it won't.
Sometimes I think we'd be better off with less information from these appointments, more info triggers over thinking and googling. So much info at there. Smile

Rovera12 · 01/07/2020 20:23

@Lemongrass1@RosettaR should I say luckily it came in full blast few hours ago, i feel so tired right now. I always pray to start my period on my day of , I work in a very busy clinic which makes matter worse. I can’t wait to go home as I finish 12am. I am lucky to be off tomoro.
2 more weeks of down reg before scan. Wishing all the ladies best of luck . Xxx

granddesigns · 01/07/2020 20:44

Evening ladies - can I join you rather late in the day?! We were undergoing our first cycle of IVF with ICSI when Covid struck and got cancelled. We were one of the first to restart when our clinic opened in may with an FET. Had a few delays as didn't down reg as they expected, grew cysts, had to drain them etc etc but finally have ET for Friday. Now I'm sat here trying to get my head out of the 'but it might not work camp' and into the 'positive thoughts place' - guessing it's just hormones and the end of the road being in sight! It's been a long road to get to the ET stage as had a few other delays before getting started in March. Am on another thread with the Feb/Mar ladies but obviously most of them managed to complete and whilst it's nice they like an update, would be good to have some people in a similar boat over the next few weeks!

SnarkWeek · 01/07/2020 21:33

Oooh RosettaR that would be nice! I think I’m probably looking at Wednesday, but who knows what Friday will bring?!

janefx40 thanks, I am pleased, just a bit overwhelmed I think. I’ve been so worried about over stimulating it almost feels like they’re underperforming now! I know that sounds mental. I just want this all to work and I tend to overthink everything. Going to try and calm my brain until I have more news on Friday.

Beherenowx32 I’m so sorry, that sounds rough. I know we’re really lucky that the clinics are open again and we’re able to have treatment, but dh will be so sad to miss ET, I think he feels a bit helpless at the moment.

Bestofyou1982 that’s quite reassuring about EC, it’s something that I’ve been a bit worried about (who wants needles all up inside them?!!). Fingers crossed the twinges are a good sign!

Janefx40 · 01/07/2020 22:13

@granddesigns welcome and good luck for Friday. It's hard not to let your brain run riot. I've never managed to control my thoughts. Best I can do is channel my obsessiveness into something else. The not knowing is so tough!

@gemmabissell I always have cysts. Have one currently that the clinic aren't worried about. My clinic have a tendency to over treat so if they're not diving in there with an expensive procedure it must be fine!

Xxx

Parkandride · 02/07/2020 07:07

Just getting caught up, all my blood tests and covid tests have come back fine so July is FET no 2 month! Period due in a couple of days.

I'm meant to self isolate after the last scan for about a week I think. I have provisionally booked accupuncture for transfer morning through so need to think about that when I get the exact instructions. Off to stock up on all the old wives tales bits, pomegranate juice etc!

Welcome @granddesigns your name remind me of my favourite ever buzzfeed article, Google "this is what every episode of grand designs is like" Grin

Glad transfer went well @Bestofyou1982
When will you test?

Lemongrass1 · 02/07/2020 11:03

@SnarkWeek great news that the scan went well, good luck for scan tomorrow x

@gemmabissell try not to worry (easier said than done!). I’m sure the clinic would say if they had any concerns about continuing

@Rovera12 great news that AF turned up! I find it usually shows after you’ve posted to complain about it being late 🤣

Had lining scan today and we are at >11mm so are going for transfer next week! Am excited and nervous. Just waiting on a call with time & date. X

Hey everyone... I hope you are all ok?

@granddesigns Welcome! I’m the same as you started earlier and the the Covid chaos happened. Was also on another thread however they were a couple of months ahead and I found all the pregnancy announcements a bit hard so came off that one!

I’ve stopped my buserelin now and I’m just taking oestrogen and progesterone. I had to make myself a little tick list as I was forgetting what to take when! Just went for a lovely walk but heavy showers here!

Janefx40 · 02/07/2020 19:23

@Lemongrass1 that's great news! When will they let you know the day? 11mm sounds amazing!

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip we had quite heavy rain showers here but I've been lucky and it kept missing me!

Hope everyone else is doing ok!

Xxx

Lemongrass1 · 02/07/2020 20:44

@Janefx40 transfer date is confirmed for next week Friday so I start the progesterone on Sunday 😁

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip I’m with you on the checklist, it’s hard to keep track with all the meds I’m on!

Exciting! It's all happening now

Xxx

Bestofyou1982 · 02/07/2020 22:26

@Lemongrass1 exciting news! Not long now.

Everyone had a good day? How we all feeling?

I trying to decide how long is long enough to wait to test? Patience is not a strong point of mine.

Janefx40 · 02/07/2020 22:42

@Bestofyou1982 aha testing is always a big decision. I think it depends on how your brain works. For me it is all about managing possible disappointment. I always plan to test early (feels like a more gradual way to find out the result) but in the end I have always waited until test day because I haven't wanted to find out too soon if it is bad news. I've enjoyed at least the possibility of being pregnant.

When are you thinking?

Bestofyou1982 · 02/07/2020 22:59

@Janefx40 I feel the same. Be positive but ease myself in gradually if bad news. After last FET I tested 5 days after transfer as read you could pick up positives that early. I nearly binned it without looking as expected negative but it was positive (and I checked with clinic can't get false positive on my meds). I was shocked. Been TTC since 2016 and never seen a positive before. Unfortunately about a month later ended in early MC.
So now I'm think shall I test this Sunday, which will be 5days after FET again as a comparison. This time have two embryos not one, not sure if that makes a difference to when can first detect something going on (if it is)?
But if negative will I be thinking well worse start than last time and last time didnt end well? Who knows. Haha!
Can drive yourself crazy thinking about these things, calm but crazy!

Bestofyou1982 · 03/07/2020 08:02

@granddesigns good luck today. x

granddesigns · 03/07/2020 08:10

Thanks for the welcome and messages. Can't believe we have made it to the actual transfer day- got myself wound up last night with the reality of it all after all this time
And waiting- can't believe there will be an embryo tonight- we have never got that far before! Good luck to others approaching transfer or waiting to find out the outcome of it. Not sure if it's a meds thing or just excitement/neves but seem to have lost ability to hold info in my mind- used to be able to remember who was at what stage etc but today love, luck, patience and strength to all will have to do!

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 03/07/2020 08:17

@granddesigns
Bless you! The meds have definitely affected my brain too. I can’t remember anything unless it’s written down.
Good luck and big virtual hug for today! Let us know how it goes!!!!!! Wohoooo xx

BeHereNowx32 · 03/07/2020 08:23

@granddesigns sending you lots of good thoughts for today! And also for the 2ww

RosettaR · 03/07/2020 10:40

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip I know what you mean about them affecting the brain! I had one work call yesterday where I just felt so inarticulate and I was struggling to get words out. Don't know what my colleagues thought!

@granddesigns best of luck today!

@Janefx40 I think I will wait to test too, normally a part of me really likes the 2ww because there's the possibility something amazing might happen, and I end up delaying testing because I'm scared of a bfn.

@SnarkWeek how was your scan?

I'm probably looking at EC on Tuesday she said today, they will call to confirm later. I have 24 follicles plus one which is huge (31mm) and probably a cyst. It was funny in the car on the way home I was telling my husband the measurements and he was telling me I must mean 3.1mm, or 31 micro metres. I was like, no definitely mm, that's why I've been moaning about my ovaries hurting - they are huge!

SnarkWeek · 03/07/2020 12:52

Hi RosettaR glad your scan went well, though a 31mm monster makes my 23mm Godzilla sound teeny! My nurse seemed pleased, have about 30 follicles, with 3 ready for collection now and another group a little way behind. I’m waiting to hear back about whether they’ll be moving EC to Monday and there’s even a possibility that they might be able to do a fresh transfer after all (trying not to get my hopes up!).

Current symptoms: lowkey dull ache in my lower back. Very raw feeling nipples (boobs seem fairly normal, but my nipples, argh!) and so much ewcm- I feel like something out of Alien. Gross.

Huge luck today granddesigns will have everything crossed for you.

Lemongrass that’s so exciting you’ve got a transfer date! Things really feel like they’re moving fast now

Janefx40 · 03/07/2020 15:24

Exciting news all round. Great follicle growing @RosettaR and @SnarkWeek

So exciting to have two ECs next week.

@SnarkWeek if they decide to do a fresh transfer and trigger you with Burserelin due to having a high number of follicles make sure they give you an HCG shot at egg collection and estrogen tablets to take afterwards. I'm sure they would but my previous clinic nearly screwed up my last cycle by forgetting to do that! It was a one in a million screw up but it happened to me!
