Hello ladies, I hope you don’t mind if I join you
We had our first cycle abroad in March just before the Covid madness started and were lucky enough to have 5 frozen embryos. Before stimms, the doctor had informed me about the probability of having a freeze all Cycle due to the risk of OHSS so I did not want to take any risks. Then with the airports closing, we had to put everything on hold and I had put the transfer at the back of my mind ( kind of!).
So I’m really pleased now that where we live, the Government has eased the restrictions and we can travel for FET next month
Today we had a video call with the clinic to explain to us about the one-time down regulation injection which I have to take this Friday. I must admit that I was quite anxious and overwhelmed afterwards, so we have now arranged to have it administered by our GP- hopefully it will be a smooth process! My partner is quite relieved that he doesn’t have to do it himself
If all goes well, I have a scan and estradiol blood test scheduled for the second day of my cycle and then the clinic will advise further about the required treatment. During the Stimms I was really calm, relaxed and positive about the process- my friends who know were quite surprised as we all assumed I would have more side effects. Now it is becoming real again and I’m finding it very hard to concentrate- I’m scared of what the outcome will be, so I definitely need some positivity!
Looking forward to share my journey with you all and I hope that we will have a lot of positive outcomes!!! Xxx
