Hi, we are starting a FET this month after a bit of back and forth with the clinic. Start downreg on Fri with ET hopefully first week of July. Wondering if anyone else cycling around the same time? X

@Rovera12 So far you've got more than me and I'm having my EC tomorrow! My friend had IVF and someone she knows got 2 eggs collected and had two pregnancies, so it really is all about quality rather than quantity.

That's a great way of looking at things! I hope your collection on Tuesday goes well.

Janefx40 · 25/07/2020 15:15

@Rovera12 @Glitterandunicorns it may be nonsense but I ate a massive pizza after my first EC and was so bloated !!! I felt like it made things worse but it could have been coincidence

X

Thank you to all replied to my post the other day, I'm still anxious and worrying too much for sure, but my tests are getting darker, today I'm 10dp5dt so only 4 more days until OTD

It is a nerve-wracking time, @gemmabissell but you have lots of positive tests so as hard as it is, try not to worry and enjoy it!

shazzz1xx · 25/07/2020 23:07

@gemmabissell your pregnant girl... big time :) don’t waste money on tests anymore take it from someone who spent 100s on them
CONGRATULATIONS

Eeek, scan tomorrow where we find out if pregnancy is viable. After all the drama of the start of the week I can't see how it can be. But the levels of nausea, which are fairly constant all day (apart from when I'm eating) and the tiredness make me think there is hope. Not sure I'll be sleeping much tonight.
Not sure how I'll react either way, never gotten this far before.
Hope you have all had a safe and enjoyable weekend. xx

Glitterandunicorns · 26/07/2020 21:16

@Bestofyou1982 I really really hope things work out for you tomorrow.

I'm going in for my egg collection tomorrow morning. I'm feeling super anxious about it, which is silly because there's nothing I can do to influence the success of anything at this point.

Anyway, I hope you've all had a lovely weekend.

Janefx40 · 26/07/2020 21:18

@Bestofyou1982 @Glitterandunicorns good luck to you both. A big day all round.

@Glitterandunicorns yes nothing you can do now. Just relax and enjoy the sedation.

@Bestofyou1982 hoping so much that you get good news. Fingers crossed

Will be thinking of you xxx

Bestofyou1982 · 26/07/2020 21:34

@Glitterandunicorns enjoy the egg collection sedation. The sedation was a perk of ivf for me. So calming, relaxing and an excuse to have a really lazy day after. Good luck x

Glitterandunicorns · 26/07/2020 23:12

Thank you @Janefx40 and @Bestofyou1982.

Quick question for ladies who've had egg collection: how did you feel the following day? I've got Monday and Tuesday booked off work just in case I was still groggy or uncomfortable the following day, but how did you feel afterwards? How long did it take before you were back to normal?

SpyroC · 26/07/2020 23:26

Big day tomorrow!

Good luck for the scan @Bestofyou1982 those symptoms sound promising. I really hope it goes well.

@Glitterandunicorns good luck for ec. I was really nervous first time too but it's honestly not that bad. 1st time I literally hopped off the bed as if I'd just had a nap, no pain, no grogginess. 2nd time I felt a bit groggy all day but nothing major, I also felt slightly tender so took some paracetamol on the afternoon. I felt absolutely fine the following day both times, just a few minor twinges 2nd time around. I chose to take it easy just in case though. I did sleep all afternoon both times too. I only had 7 & 6 eggs collected though so that's probably why. I know a lot of women do experience a bit more discomfort. Fingers crossed yours will be like mine!

I will be thinking of you both tomorrow and sending positive vibes! Xx

Janefx40 · 27/07/2020 06:33

@Glitterandunicorns I didn't feel too bad either after EC but good idea to have a couple of days off. I've never felt groggy but the first time I felt quite bloated and tender. Not in pain or anything but a bit uncomfy and I did spend the day in bed. Second time was less swollen so back to normal more quickly

Hi ladies, I had my egg collection this morning. We had a bit of a last minute growth spurt it seems and got 13 eggs! (Well, 16 but three weren't quite ready). I am so so relieved! I'm just waiting for my husband to come to get me now.

Thank you all so much for your kindness and support so far. It has meant so much. X

SpyroC · 27/07/2020 12:09

@Glitterandunicorns that's amazing news, good job! 🙌🏻 my follies always have a growth spurt but the last minute ones never contain eggs which seems to surprise the doctors. What stims were you on and what dose? If this fails I definitely want to look in to a lower dose for longer I think. Rest up this afternoon and enjoy having a nice lazy couple of days now xx

Janefx40 · 27/07/2020 12:30

@Glitterandunicorns 13!! That's amazing. All the pep talks to your follicles clearly worked wonders.

Now have a relaxing day and feel pleased with your clever ovaries!!!

Hi all - have been a little quiet on here as have been reading updates but dealing with symptoms no one who got as far as a BFP wants. Just popping on to say I'll be even more quiet on this thread as we suffered an early miscarriage around 6 weeks. Had an early scan today to confirm and awaiting bloods but nothing on the scan was pretty conclusive. Wishing all those still on the journey strength, hope and
Positive outcomes.

Glitterandunicorns · 27/07/2020 13:05

Ah @granddesigns I'm so very sorry to hear that. Be kind to yourself. Thanks

Thanks so much @Janefx40 and @SpyroC! I was on Gonal F 250 per day, and Cetritide (I cant remember what the measurement was but it was one pack per day). I started injecting on 11th July and finished on Saturday gone so took Gonal F for two weeks.

Bestofyou1982 · 27/07/2020 13:18

@Glitterandunicorns great news on your egg collection. How did you find sedation?

So sorry to read your update @granddesigns. Ivf can really suck. We had exact same last cycle. Be kind to yourself x

I feel guilty sharing my news now. Our scan today showed somehow even after all the bleeding we are pregnant, it's in the right place, right size and there is a heartbeat. Still very early days, we lost 1 last time early on so still being cautious. But this is furthest we've gotten. So another step forward.

granddesigns · 27/07/2020 13:31

Well I might be bowing out but I'm really pleased to read that @Bestofyou1982 - my bleeding started when you were having ups and downs last week so I'm really glad you got a good outcome today. Hope things continue to go well.

Glitterandunicorns · 27/07/2020 13:37

@Bestofyou1982 that's amazing news! I'm so so pleased for you!

Sedation was a bit weird! I expected to feel more fuzzy or woozy, but I felt mostly normal! The nurse gave me a second lot of fentanyl but it was still pretty uncomfortable. I'm knackered now though so maybe it did more than I thought!

Parkandride · 27/07/2020 13:49

Had my lining check scan today, had an absolute treat of a nurse who was heavy handed, incompetant and downright rude. So that was great. Already had a call from the clinic as she filled in my details on my covid test wrongly so they needed to correct some stuff.

Also no one added me to the transfer list so I have to wait 2 days longer for transfer. Wasn't a happy bunny, it's even worse at appointments on your own - bet I wouldn't have been spoken to the way I wa if DH was there.

But lining is at 9mm so I'm happy really! Last round it was 7.5mm so nice to see it getting cosy.

So sorry to hear that @granddesigns I hope you get the results quickly, has this happened before? Flowers

Great number @Glitterandunicorns how are you feeling??

Janefx40 · 27/07/2020 13:51

@granddesigns I'm so sorry. That is utterly shit and I'm so sorry it happened to you. Sending lots of love 💐💐💐

Janefx40 · 27/07/2020 13:51

@Parkandride what?! So annoying but great news on the lining which is the main thing.

Janefx40 · 27/07/2020 13:52

@Bestofyou1982 wow wow wow! The human body is an amazing and bizarre and confusing thing. Such wonderful news. You must be so pleased. I know it is early days but this is the best possible news you could get at this point. That is one tough little embryo!

Parkandride · 27/07/2020 13:54

Slow typist here! Wonderful news @Bestofyou1982 that's one tough little embryo there, I have every faith in it!
