@RosettaR
GrinGrin woo hoo, I was in shock too! I think I still am. Congratulations! Roll on 7w scan now.

@Bestofyou1982
You’ve had such a rollercoaster of a time, but great news of the positive result. Good luck for scan!

Parkandride · 23/07/2020 20:29

I'm so scared about starting lubion @SpyroC Sad it sounds awful, any top tips? I've bought a heat pad for after. Whoever said it's expensive is right, I'm NHS but had to pay for it, greatful not paying for more though!

Fantastic news @RosettaR and @Bestofyou1982 hope your scans come around quickly

Had accupuncture today, bit weird wearing a mask but always nice to have a lie down during the day

SpyroC · 23/07/2020 20:44

Don't t worry @Parkandride I'm just being a baby really! 🙈😂 it's just a bit sore for me and the other things I've had to inject haven't hurt for long after (most of the time). Yesterday's was definitely better thanks to the great advice from people here; don't release the skin (keep it pinched-it says to release it on the video I had from the clinic) and massage it afterwards. Yes it is pricey especially if it works but in that case it will all be worth it! I had ec with my mask on-that was weird!

SpyroC · 23/07/2020 20:45

Thanks @Janefx40 xx

Rovera12 · 23/07/2020 21:34

@Parkandride I am Nhs too but they said the process to get it is long and it’s expensive. Can I ask why you were put on lubion and asked to pay ? .
Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow, treatment day 11 scan, day 10 on stims . Xx

Bestofyou1982 · 24/07/2020 15:21

Hi folks,
Hope you are all doing well? The weekend is nearly here, any fabulous plans to look after yourself and pick you up after a busy week?
I got my hair cut today and it has really improved my mood and mindset. Ready for a quiet weekend, hopefully with a little sunshine.

Janefx40 · 24/07/2020 15:44

@Bestofyou1982 glad you are looking and feeling good! We are due to meet DPs sister and family at a park this weekend - have decided to do outdoor meet ups only for now.

DD has a fever yesterday so we've all had to have Covid tests. Waiting for the results. Assuming they are negative but was meant to go to the clinic for bloods today and clearly couldn't go. If we get the results in time, I'll go for bloods tomorrow instead

Xxx

I'm not too sure tbh! My last transfer failed with a genetically normal embryo and no fertility issues (doing PGD to avoid a hereditary issue) so think it's a caution thing. I did have progesterone level checked last time and they didn't flag anything at the time.

How was your scan?

@Bestofyou1982 I had a haircut too, we're like whole new women!

@Janefx40 hope your daughter is ok?

@SpyroC I will try and woman up! All the tips are helpful thank you

The sun is shining and I'd love a glass of wine! Never really know what the rules are for FET...

SpyroC · 24/07/2020 18:25

All good here, just trying (and failing) to keep my mind from wandering. I still have 8 days until ott 🙈

Only outdoor meet-ups for us too at the moment. It's lucky I'm an outdoors type! I have booked a hair appointment for a few days after ott as it's getting desperate now 😂

@Janefx40 I hope you are all ok xx

The weekend is here 🙌🏻🙌🏻

KittyFoster · 24/07/2020 21:01

Hello ladies, I hope you are all doing well and have planned some pampering time for the weekend ❤️

We have finally received the go ahead for the transfer which is scheduled for today week- I’m super excited now!! This morning I went for the Swab test which came out negative thankfully- We are traveling on Sunday and spending a few days relaxing by the beach before Friday- I cannot wait now!

Ladies, may I ask if you have been following any specific diet prior to the transfer? And are you drinking wine or coffee? I haven’t had wine for the past 3 months and now I am Just wondering if It would be ok to have a glass of wine with dinner while we are on holiday 🤔

KittyFoster · 24/07/2020 21:02

Oh and they prescribed the intramuscular progesterone injections post transfer...not looking forward to that!

Bestofyou1982 · 24/07/2020 21:16

@KittyFoster and @Parkandride wrongly or rightly I had a glass of wine at weekends up to point that finished period prior to transfer. Figured then I was growing new lining for implantation. But I was not actually told not to drink by clinic until day of transfer.
@Janefx40 fingers crossed for negatives and your daughter feeling better.
@Parkandride hair cut twins, how much better do you feel after a good cut. Mine was coloured too so feeling like I have a new head. :-)
@KittyFoster exciting now you have a date. Enjoy your time away.
Happy weekend folks x

Glitterandunicorns · 24/07/2020 21:56

@Bestofyou1982 I'm glad you're feeling positive and you got to do something fun for yourself.
@Janefx40 I'm sorry to hear your DD has been ill. I hope she's all better soon and have fingers crossed for negative tests.

@SpyroC I've done the same and have booked a hair appointment for just after we find out if treatment has worked. I didn't want to risk anything by booking an appointment earlier, but my roots are looking horrific at the mo 😂

@KittyFoster that's exciting! Our hospital didn't give us any guidelines around alcohol consumption, but in all fairness, we're all but teetotal really. I can't imagine that having a glass of wine before transfer could possible hurt anything. I've been having one cup of filter coffee per day since I started stimming. I figure that is what you're allowed if you're pregnant, so I'm sure it's fine to have that while having IVF treatment. I hope you manage to have a restful time while you're away.

I have another scan tomorrow morning at early o'clock to see if what I can only assume are the laziest follicles known to man have reached the right size to arrange egg collection (or egg-straction as we call it!) or whether I've got to get the billionth prescription for more drugs. I'm feeling pretty anxious about it, but trying to focus on the fact that there's no point in fretting about that now; they've grown or they haven't, and there is nothing at all I can do about it one way or another.

I hope you're all having a lovely Friday!

I hope you all

Janefx40 · 24/07/2020 22:13

@Glitterandunicorns good luck with the scan. Sounds like you are feeling pretty chilled about it all too which is great.

@KittyFoster amazing that you have a date for transfer (and your holiday!). Don't worry about the intramuscular progesterone - it's not the nicest but it is the "gold standard" of progesterone and ultimately it's a good thing to be taking the best on offer!!

@SpyroC 2WW is dreadful!!

DD is absolutely fine - thanks for asking - she's been back to her normal self today. Annoyingly tho we still don't have our Covid test results back. If I don't get them overnight then I can't go to the clinic tomorrow for bloods or meds which is a pain. But at least we are all well

Xxx

Janefx40 · 25/07/2020 08:23

Covid tests back and negative as expected so am at the clinic for the blood tests I was meant to have yesterday.

Hope everyone is doing ok

Xxx

SpyroC · 25/07/2020 08:29

Great news @KittyFoster I have been on a restricted diet for months but that's due to egg quality issues. In your case I'm sure a glass of wine will not hurt at all.

Good luck for the scan @Glitterandunicorns

I'm glad your daughter is better @Janefx40 annoying about the results hopefully they will be with you soon.

SpyroC · 25/07/2020 08:29

@Janefx40 crossed posts. Phew! Xx

Bestofyou1982 · 25/07/2020 09:11

@Glitterandunicorns good news at the scan I hope. :-)

Bestofyou1982 · 25/07/2020 09:13

@Janefx40 great news, good luck with blood tests.

Glitterandunicorns · 25/07/2020 11:29

Morning ladies. Thank you so much for your good wishes for this morning.
I just got home and follicles are finally the correct size, so we're going to have egg collection on Monday. Shit is getting real!

The nurse said I have at least six, and by then I may have a couple extra too, and she was very reassuring.

I'll be doing my trigger shot tonight and then no more injections! Woooooohoooo! 😂

@Janefx40 So pleases to hear that your COVID tests were negative. Hope the blood tests go well.

I hope you're all having a lovely Saturday.

Rovera12 · 25/07/2020 13:55

@Glitterandunicorns glad your scans went well.
My trigger is tomorrow, for egg collection on Tuesday. My last scan was yesterday and had only 8 follicles between 12mm and 18mm and 1 20mm, they hope the other little ones grows before Tuesday.
How’s everyone doing ?

Janefx40 · 25/07/2020 14:27

Wow two good scans and two ECs coming up!

@Glitterandunicorns well done follicles! They made it!!!

@Rovera12 exciting news for you too!

Trigger shot always felt quite exciting to me. I think it's because it's called a Trigger shot it felt a big deal! Pulling the trigger etc etc and then you get an entire day off drugs etc etc

Enjoy your ECs and remember not to eat bloaty food afterwards!!!

Xxx

Glitterandunicorns · 25/07/2020 14:46

Lol! Thanks @janefx40! I was totally giving my follicles motivational speeches 😂

Thanks for the tip about bloating after EC. I didn't know that, so will be careful about what I eat. Spoiler alert- it's going to be all the ice cream in the world for being brave 😂

That's great, @Rovera12! Sounds like you've got a really good number, and a few days for them to grow some more too!

Rovera12 · 25/07/2020 14:52

Thanks @Janefx40 I am always bloated IVF or not , I think I have IBS which have never been diagnosed though.

@Glitterandunicorns hmm you think they are good numbers? I just want good blast honestly. The last cycle I had 15eggs collected and all went down by day 5, so keeping my fingers crossed and I am a strong believer God is looking out for me and everyone. Our time will definitely come no matter the delay. 🙏

SpyroC · 25/07/2020 15:11

Whoop @Glitterandunicorns go your follies! I will be interested to see how you get on as mine always seem to grow quite quickly but then the quality is never great on day 5. I'm going to ask about trying a lower dose next time if this doesn't work.

I hope you're all enjoying your Saturdays xx
