So I think I have a bfp ... the lines aren't that strong but they are definitely there. I'm in shock! At least that explains why my stomach is the size if a beach ball (OHSS). Early days I know so trying to keep that in mind, but so relieved we've got this far.

@Glitterandunicorns I had sore boobs stimming, well it was my nipples really, they were so painful if anything touched them!

Heart4 · 23/07/2020 07:43

@Rosetta oh that's amazing. So happy for you! Xx

Bestofyou1982 · 23/07/2020 07:44

So somehow, and I don't know how after Monday, it looks like 2nd embryo may have clung on in there. Clear positive urine test straight away today. I'm still thinking could be left over hormone from the embryo I passed but trying to stay positive. Scan on Monday to look for a heartbeat.
Hope you all have a good day today xx

Heart4 · 23/07/2020 07:44

@RosettaR oh that's amazing. I'm so happy for you!! Xx

Heart4 · 23/07/2020 07:45

@Bestofyou1982 fantastic news! Xx

KittyFoster · 23/07/2020 07:51

Fantastic news this morning!! So so happy for you @Bestofyou1982 and @RosettaR xxx

@Glitterandunicorns I also had very sore boobs in the last few days of stimming until the day before egg collection when suddenly all the discomfort disappeared ( and I was obviously worried that I had ovulated all the eggs!😂)

I have a meeting in ten minutes but all I can think of the the email from the clinic to advise on the next steps!

Wishing you a lovely day xxx

Glitterandunicorns · 23/07/2020 07:55

@RosettaR and @Bestofyou1982 that is amazing news for you both! I'm so pleased for you!

@KittyFoster and @RosettaR thanks for that. It's mostly my nipples too. I swear I don't even want anyone to look at them, they're so painful (husband has some feelings about this! 🤣)

RosettaR · 23/07/2020 08:01

@Bestofyou1982 I'm so glad to hear that, that's great news. Fingers crossed you get confirmation on Monday!

BeHereNowx32 · 23/07/2020 08:21

@RosettaR @Bestofyou1982 wonderful news! X

Janefx40 · 23/07/2020 08:32

@RosettaR congratulations! That is fab news xxx

@Bestofyou1982 so exciting to get a clear positive. Roll on Monday and that scan

Xxxx

SpyroC · 23/07/2020 09:09

@Rovera12 yea the last thing you want is too be worrying about it.

Congratulations @RosettaR and @Bestofyou1982 ! It's nice to have some good news this morning.

@Glitterandunicorns no sore boobs for me until the evening off egg collection (weirdly).

You guys were not kidding about Lubion being sore! @Janefx40 you are a trooper to do 3 a day! I'm 3dp5dt transfer and the progesterone has made sleepy and yesterday caused a long head ache. In a way this is good as I know my body is absorbing it so the pesky lubion is at least doing its job.

Janefx40 · 23/07/2020 09:26

@SpyroC sorry you're having a hard time with Lubion. Actually it was prontogest we said was painful because it is intramuscular. Are you taking Lubion intramuscularly or subcutaneously (what a lot of long words!!) I'm injecting Lubion into my tummy and it's not too bad. The leaflet does say it can be done either way so if you are going into the muscle it might be worth asking if you can switch. Sorry it is feeling rubbish but yes it is good stuff so will be doing the job which is the main thing.

I have always had a headache or two during the 2WW but they do pass and they don't seem to have affected the outcome either way. Hope you feel better soon

Xxx

Bestofyou1982 · 23/07/2020 09:27

Thanks everyone for the kindness again today. You have been such a support this week thank you so much.
@RosettaR so pleased to hear your great news this morning.

How's everyone else doing today?

Glitterandunicorns · 23/07/2020 09:49

I just had another scan (today is cycle day 15, so 13th day of injections) and my follicles still aren't ready so I need another two days of drugs and to go back on Saturday for another scan.

The nurse said I've not yet got 3 follicles measuring 17mm or more (the point that my hospital will carry out egg collection) so I'm really starting to worry that they're not going to be able to collect anything, or if they do, they'll only get a couple of eggs. She did say that they are definitely growing though.

I know there's nothing I can do to improve the growth or number, but it's really disappointing. We are incredibly fortunate to have a child already (unexplained secondary infertility) so we're self-funding so I don't think we'll be able to have another shot at IVF after this one.

Janefx40 · 23/07/2020 10:10

@Glitterandunicorns I know it feels disappointing but they are growing and that is the main thing. I don't think there is any particular hurry or advantage in being quicker with IVF. If you are cycle day 15 now you might end up with EC on day 18 or 19. In the normal world that is equivalent to a 32 or 33 day menstrual cycle so not hugely long. I used to worry because I stimmed too quickly. I think the nature of IVF is that we worry whatever the situation.

The important thing is that nothing has failed, you are growing follicles and hopefully they will keep going.

I do know how hard it is tho!!! Sending love xxx

Vijka · 23/07/2020 10:12

Hi all i had my fet last Thursday of course i couldnt wait and tested as i dnt feel anything abnormal and not ao surprisingly i had bfn. I know im only 7days post transfer but i dnt really have much hope. My official test day is next monday. Last time i tested after fet was 5days post transfer and my test was positive even though it was short lived as it ended up in misscaridge but i at least had all the symptoms. Now its absolutely nothing. So good luck everyone i hope ur baby wishes will come true :)

Bestofyou1982 · 23/07/2020 10:29

@Vijka Our ivf journeys sound quite similar. Don't lose hope, it is still early to test. x

Glitterandunicorns · 23/07/2020 10:32

@Janefx40 thank you so much. X

Vijka · 23/07/2020 11:12

@bestofyou1982 its just terrible isnt it. To be honest i didnt think I'll go for another try but my son is asking for a sibling and i really want another one. :(

Yay so happy for @RosettaR, you conquered 🥳🥳🥳. Congratulations .

@Bestofyou1982 wow such a good day for you. I am happy for you. Congratulations 🥳🥳.

@SpyroC I wish I can help not to worry . I asked my clinic why (patients) don’t get progesterone in oil , I was told the truth is that it is very expensive and the process is long to get it.

@Vijka so sorry to hear , give it some days and try again .

SpyroC · 23/07/2020 17:20

Thanks @Janefx40 I do them in my tummy too. They said I can switch to muscular but I'm sure that will be worse. I followed @Lemongrass1 advice last night as massaged the area after and it doesn't seem to be as sore as last time today so hopefully that will help from now on. I'm just glad it's working.

@Glitterandunicorns hopefully your follies just need a couple more days. It's really hard dealing with all the unknown and the constant waiting but hopefully it will all be worth it. They must be happy they are growing well to keep you stimming. X

Glitterandunicorns · 23/07/2020 17:30

Thank you so much, @spryo! X

Glitterandunicorns · 23/07/2020 17:31

I meant thanks @SpyroC! X

Janefx40 · 23/07/2020 18:59

@SpyroC yes definitely don't switch to intramuscular. That is much more painful in several ways. Shame it is uncomfy for you. Maybe I've got used to the Lubion injections. I'm doing Clexane at the same time which is more painful tho I do sometimes get lumps under the skin from the Lubion.

Hope it gets better for you x
