Hi, we are starting a FET this month after a bit of back and forth with the clinic. Start downreg on Fri with ET hopefully first week of July. Wondering if anyone else cycling around the same time? X

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip so so sorry to read your update this morning. Thinking of you xx
@Janefx40 thank you for kind thoughts. Had a tiny bit of spotting which freaked me out yesterday. Hoping that's it and it stays put. Just going to have to see. It is indeed playing on my mind though.Fingers crossed to get to scan on 27th.

Janefx40 · 19/07/2020 12:27

So bit of a rollercoaster here. I have a positive pregnancy test but am also spotting. I know that spotting can mean nothing bad or it can mean that I'm having a chemical/miscarrying. I think it will be at least a few more days before I have any definitive news either way.

@Bestofyou1982 sorry you have had spotting too. Hopefully it means nothing bad for either of us!

🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 19/07/2020 12:30

I think spotting is ok ladies. Maybe just ring your clinic to check. Sending all so much love and hope xxxxxxxxx 💗💗💗💗 xxxxxxx

Janefx40 · 19/07/2020 13:16

Thank you @UncleBrynsfishingtrip that's so nice of you especially given that you are having a tough day. Really hope you are ok xxx

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 19/07/2020 13:27

Yeah I’ve had a good cry. It is my birthday and my husbands birthday tomorrow. The silver lining is I get to drink Pimms this afternoon! Xxxxxxx

Janefx40 · 19/07/2020 13:31

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip oh not the ideal birthday for either of you. Bollocks to this stupid TTC stuff. Drink a massive Pimms for me. Sending you so much love. Xxx

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 19/07/2020 13:34

@Janefx40 🤣 yeah bollocks indeed! Got to stay positive haven’t we and I will most definitely have a pint 🍺 of Pimms for you!! 🍓 🍊 xx

Heart4 · 19/07/2020 14:36

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you both do something nice for your birthdays. Enjoy your Pimms!! Xx

Glitterandunicorns · 19/07/2020 16:10

@unclebrynsfishingtrip I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm thinking of you. X

@spyroc thank you for the reassurance. Best of luck for tomorrow!

@rovera12 I hope your scan goes well tomorrow. Re your question about Gonal F, I am in no way an expert, but is that the same dose as you received last time? If so, it sounds like you got a great number of eggs collected on that dose, so it makes sense that they wouldn't increase it.

@rosettaR I'm sorry yesterday was a rough day for you. I'm pleased to hear you're feeling more positive today. A holiday sounds wonderful!

@janefx40 that's brilliant news that you got a BFP! Spotting is scary, but hopefully it'll be nothing.

@bestofyou1982 I hope your spotting stops quickly. I know it's really scary when that happens.

thefishthatcouldwish · 19/07/2020 16:18

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip so sorry to see this.

@Janefx40 🤞 For you.

Just a tiny update for you have lost 2 kilo in the last week which I'm pleased about.

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 19/07/2020 17:09

Has anyone on here had a negative result on their first attempt?

I will phone the clinic tomorrow but I don’t really want to talk to them xx

BeHereNowx32 · 19/07/2020 17:45

@Janefx40 congrats. Hope the spotting has stopped!

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip I had a negative on my first cycle. It’s was my 4th transfer that was positive. They can learn from your first cycles, and change things for next time xx

thefishthatcouldwish · 19/07/2020 17:46

Aww @UncleBrynsfishingtrip I think it is pretty common. Well thats what the councilor and embryologist said. Be kind to yourself and have you another half? Could they ring?

Ash75454 · 19/07/2020 17:55

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip give yourself a bit of time if you need and enjoy a birthday drink. My first FET failed, my second gave me my daughter. This is my 3rd.

@Janefx40 good news on the positive, the clinic can give you some guidance on the spotting tomorrow 🤞

Claire071081 · 19/07/2020 17:57

I caved in and tested this morning , only 9dp3dt it was negative! Didn’t even do a first response one either 🙄
I feel I’ve left myself down by not waiting but I did it because for the last week I’ve had bad cramping and slight spotting for past 24hrs and I’m adamant I’m starting my period!
The anxiety was killing me.
Reading up HGG wouldn’t be detected until day 11 after a 3 day transfer so there could still be hope.
Anyone got any similar stories to share? TIA 😘

shazzz1xx · 19/07/2020 18:28

I got a positive 7dp3dt so it’s detectable now definitely x

shazzz1xx · 19/07/2020 18:30

The day 7 was done at work so misplaced but these are them from 8dp3dt

She’s 12 month now :)

Wow @shazzz1xx congratulations Smile I suppose everyone is different and they tell you to wait 14 days for a reason so I’ve still got to hold on to some hope 🙏🏻

Janefx40 · 19/07/2020 18:52

@Claire071081 firstly you haven't let yourself down at all. It is totally natural to want to know and I'm sure everyone out here understands that point at which not knowing becomes unbearable.

9dp3dt is early. It wouldn't be impossible to get a positive test but equally possible for it not to show yet. There is a reason they pick the test days they do. A first response picks up hcg at around 6 whereas others would be 25 and up so yes there is still hope especially as you didn't use an FRER.

Be nice to yourself - this is a hard process

Xxx

SpyroC · 19/07/2020 21:24

@Janefx40 i like to hear good outcome stories so thank you and congratulations! I can imagine the spotting is unnerving. It does seem to be common so fingers crossed for you! X

@Rovera12 my dose of stims wasn't changed but they did change menopur to gonal f just to try it. I'm going to question the dose (in my case to try lower) and also the trigger amount if we have to try again as i seem to have an issue with maturity.

What a great start @thefishthatcouldwish !

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip yes sadly my first round failed back in April. It was also the day before my birthday too. 😬 i have found this second round easier to deal with so far. Enjoy a massive drink tomorrow! X

Thanks for all the well wishes. Im so nervous to hear what's happened!

SpyroC · 19/07/2020 21:26

Does anyone have any thoughts, knowledge or experience of putting 2 embryos back? (If they are low quality) we may have to make that decision tomorrow. I've read mixed things online

Ash75454 · 19/07/2020 21:52

@SpyroC I put 2 back on my second attempt where I successfully had my daughter. Im not sure I would have been brave enough to try it again this time though.

I think you need to consider how you would feel about twins (or more) given they generally are earlier and can need more medical attention especially early on. If you're OK with all that then the chances of pregnancy are obviously a little higher.

Good luck with your decision

Rovera12 · 19/07/2020 22:11

@Glitterandunicorns yes with that dose I got good number of eggs but it went down between day 4 and 5, basically I feel they were not matured enough .

@SpyroC I asked when I went in for my baseline scan about a double trigger , hopefully I will get a response tomorrow.

Glitterandunicorns · 19/07/2020 23:07

@rovera12 I see. I think I read somewhere that if there are issues after day 3, that it's more likely to be issues with the sperm than the egg.

@spryo a friend of mine did that and ended up with triplets. Just something to consider!

@claire071081 Try not to be disheartened. It's still really early to test. Try as much as you can to put it out of your mind for now. (I know that is much easier said than done!)
