Hi @Janefx40 thanks for replying.
Oh that’s interesting about your headaches during IVF with your daughter, half of the early pregnancy symptoms are also menstrual symptoms too it’s awful!!

My test day isn’t until 25th Angry is yours this Sunday? What day transfer did you have?

I have a 6 year old son through IVF don’t remember how I felt in my last 2ww, wish I’d have made notes now! Blush

As you say don’t read anything into things as you really don’t know until you do that test!!

Good luck to you too xxx

Bestofyou1982 · 17/07/2020 23:12

Same @Ash75454 and @Janefx40. I'm only couple of days of when I miscarried last time. Hoping to get past that milestone but I'm sure I can feel similar twinges. :-/

Ash75454 · 18/07/2020 03:57

I caved and tested with apparently an 'ultra early' test. I've got a positive line!

@Janefx40 and @Bestofyou1982 this symptom spotting stress is sent to try us! I was sure I wasnt getting this outcome. Hoping the best for you both too.

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 18/07/2020 07:06

@Ash75454 oooooh amazing!! Congratulations 😘😁 you must be over the moon! I bet you’ve been awake really early xx

RosettaR · 18/07/2020 07:11

Thanks so much for all your wise words! I don't know what is to without you!

@JessB7777 it is strange that different people have drop-offs at different stages. I had the opposite in that of 19 eggs only 2 fertilised, but of those one made it to be top quality day 5 (the other didn't make it). I think we just have to see the process through and then go back to the clinic and try to discuss whether there's anything that can be done differently next time. I've also heard the thing about it being up to the sperm after day 3 but no idea if it's reliable info. There are sperm dna fragmentation tests you can have done though so you could ask your clinic about that. I also agree with SpyroC that if they've made it to day 5 they have a good chance irrespective of how the clinic rate them - they must have a lot going for them to have made it that far.

@SpyroC that's a great fertilisation rate!

@Ash75454 my otd is Thursday and I think I will wait, just because the idea of seeing a bfn fills me with such terror! I'd rather stay in ignorance a bit longer.

@Bestofyou1982 the nhs website says you only need to worry if 38 degrees or above, so I'm sure it only needs to go down very slightly for you to be allowed in.

@Claire071081 I've had headaches and cramping too. I normally get headaches around and just after ovulation (and I did after the trigger shot!). But this timing is unusual, although it could just be triggered by stress.

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip I will be thinming of you tomorrow, best of luck!

RosettaR · 18/07/2020 07:16

@Ash75454 congratulations, that's amazing! Flowers

Goramm · 18/07/2020 09:07

Hi All, I see I'm a little late to the game but hopefully not too late x
My wife and I are having our second IVF cycle, today is day 9pt. We had a bfp yesterday and barely any line this morning. We're only guessing what that means and are totally shocked. I know many people went through worse, it's just that it's cr*p being in the middle of my own story now. Anyone had this before?

Sending everyone good thoughts.

Bestofyou1982 · 18/07/2020 09:24

@Ash75454 what fantastic news!!!

@Goramm try not to read to much into it as it's still too early to officially test. Good luck to you in days to come.

And thanks @RosettaR.
Hope you are all have calm and positive weekends xx

Glitterandunicorns · 18/07/2020 09:35

@ash75454 congratulations! That's brilliant!

@goramm welcome! I know it's easier said than done, but it's still early yet so try not to worry about that. Different line strengths can be down to all sorts of things and a line that seems fainter isn't necessarily indicative of bad news. Best of luck!

I just had my day 10 scan. The nurse said that my follicles aren't big enough yet so I've got to take more meds and go back on Tuesday for another scan to check it out again. She said they are growing, but they're just not there yet.

I had a massive freak out as soon as I went into the scan room. I've had a couple of MCs in the last few years and I find the scan process really triggering. I'm also worried that my follicles aren't going to grow properly and that this won't work. The nurse did say that some ladies just need a bit longer, but I'm still freaking out. It's probably partly the hormones, but it just all seems a bit scary at the moment.

Goramm · 18/07/2020 10:01

Thank you both! My hopes are basically 0 but we'll keep the progesterone intake until day 14 as they told us.

@Glitterandunicorns from what I know slow but steady growth is better for egg quality than rapid growth. Hang in there, all the best of luck on Tuesday :)

Janefx40 · 18/07/2020 14:34

Hi @Goramm and welcome. Sorry you have had a confusing time. It could depend what tests you did as they detect different levels of Hcg but 8dpt is early to test. It's hard to know what is happening but the waiting and wondering drives us all crazy.

@Glitterandunicorns I'm not surprised you find the scans triggering. You have been through a lot in those rooms. It's amazing that you are still pushing forwards despite everything. Don't worry about needing more time. The drugs will be doing their work.

Congratulations @Ash75454 that is amazing news!!! How are you feeling?

Ash75454 · 18/07/2020 14:41

Thanks all just the start of a long journey I know we've all had different experiences of. Im going to try take each week as it comes or days really in the next week or so. Im going to repeat a test Monday and my OTD at the clinic is wendesday.

@Janefx40 a little crampy still and a little like the morning after a few glasses of wine. I had really tender boobs early on but they disappeared entirely overnight at day 5 post transfer.

Claire071081 · 18/07/2020 15:22

Congratulations @Ash75454 Grin did you have any symptoms during your 2ww?

Glitterandunicorns · 18/07/2020 16:11

Thank you for your kindness, @janefx40 and @goramm.

Janefx40 · 19/07/2020 04:46

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip good luck 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 19/07/2020 06:58

BeHereNowx32 · 19/07/2020 07:36

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip so sorry 😞 it really is tough. Take care of yourself xxx

granddesigns · 19/07/2020 07:50

Sorry to hear that @UncleBrynsfishingtrip - take care of yourself.

Ash75454 · 19/07/2020 07:59

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip sorry to hear ❤

Rovera12 · 19/07/2020 08:06

@BeHereNowx32 congratulations 🥳.

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip so sorry to hear . Please be kind to yourself.

@Ash75454 congratulations 🥳

@Goramm welcome to the group .

@RosettaR how are u today ?

I hope everyone’s weekend is going as planned ? It’s easy to say but let us all be kind to ourselves and take each step as it comes.

It’s day 6 of stims today for me, boy the hot flushes at night is out of this world...... the goodnews is, i stopped spotting around day 2 of stims, that got me really worried.
I am booked in for a scan tomorrow, hoping it goes well 👌😀.

Sending positive vibes to all. Enjoy your day lovely ladies. Xx

Janefx40 · 19/07/2020 09:17

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip I'm so sorry. This process is brutal. Take some time to be nice to yourself. Sending you lots of love

@Rovera12 good luck with your scan tomorrow. Hopefully all that hot flushing has led to some great follicles!

@Bestofyou1982 hope you're feeling ok as you approach a tricky milestone. Hoping things are progressing well this time and thinking of you x

SpyroC · 19/07/2020 09:27

Im so sorry @UncleBrynsfishingtrip xx

@Rovera12 that's good news. Onwards and upwards now! I hope your scan goes well tomorrow.

Congratulations! @Ash75454 xx

@Glitterandunicorns it's understandable how scans make you feel. It's a tense moment anyway so I can imagine the bad memories make it worse. Both times I've had day 9/10 scans I've continued stimming. It seems very common for there to be a lot of growth in the last couple of days.

Welcome @Goramm

I am now booked in for a transfer tomorrow. We still have 4 embryos, 2 of which look good at the moment. This is similar to last time and everything went down hill on day 5 so at this point I think I will be happy with anything and am trying not to get my hopes up with the grades. 🤞🏻

Janefx40 · 19/07/2020 09:36

@SpyroC great news that you still have 4 and fingers crossed for good news tomorrow. Yes don't worry about grades. My daughter was a slow developing embryo and was still a morula on day 5 when we transferred her. Xxx

RosettaR · 19/07/2020 10:28

So sorry to hear that @UncleBrynsfishingtrip. You've been such a lovely supportive presence for the rest of us I was really hoping you would have a positive outcome. As others have said, be kind to yourself and take it easy.

Lots of luck for your scan tomorrow @Rovera12!

@SpyroC that's great you still have four in the running. Good luck for tomorrow. I will keep everything crossed that you have something to transfer and something to freeze.

I'm better today, I had a major meltdown yesterday (the words "it's failed and it's my fault" might have been used). I seem to be alternating days at the moment! I did some research this morning on possible next steps and questions to ask the clinic if this fails, which has made me feel a bit more in control. I have also booked a holiday in August which I think has helped!

Rovera12 · 19/07/2020 10:28

@Janefx40 thank you 😊. It’s my day off tomorrow, I won’t have to rush in and out for scan tomorrow.

@SpyroC good to hear you still have 4 going, like they always say just quality over quantity. Sending positive vibes your way.

Ladies can I ask please if anyone here was on low dose of gonal F? I don’t know why my clinic has put me on low dose again ☹️?

My last cycle I was on 150 gonal f with cetrotide, collected 15 eggs that 9 fertilised. 6 was good on day 3, Suddenly on day 5 only 1 was good for transfer . On day 6 the others were not good enough for freezing.
Though I am on a long protocol now but I am just thinking out loud why the same dose again. They might want to prevent OHSS but also don’t I need more dose to mature the eggs?

Can anyone suggest questions I could ask tomorrow at my scan appointment if any please ?

Haha 😆 just felt like ranting/saying it out. I am sorry for the long post .
