IVF&FET June/July cycle buddies

Hi, we are starting a FET this month after a bit of back and forth with the clinic. Start downreg on Fri with ET hopefully first week of July. Wondering if anyone else cycling around the same time? X

I am 9dp5dt, and it was a blood test. I am booked in for scan 5th of august. So, I will be quite anxious until then. Will try stay calm tho!

@LemonRabbit what dpt was your blood test? I notice you had level of 120. Mine’s was 66. Not that I want to start worrying about that... but I will lol x

Ok, just had a google, and supposedly, the actual number doesn’t matter. It just needs to double every 48 hours. So, I will put it out of my head x

I want a blood test! But I only have a clinic test to do. I feel more stressed now knowing others are positive results and same day as me. 😞 But I still have time.
I just worry about what to do if this fails. Not had to make such big decisions before xx

Congratulations @BeHereNowx32 that's great news! I've been working my way through bfn podcasts and the Dr on there confirmed it should double every 2-3 days. X

@Parkandride it's annoying when stuff like that happens. My clinic are great but there was some admin issues this time. I've put it down to changes due to covid but it definitely frustrated me. Not what you want when you're full of hormones and going through something so big. DH clearly thought I was being ott moaning about it...I probably was...but very annoying in the moment!

So I have survived my second egg collection. I definitely feel groggier than last time but I was super lucky first time around. They got 6 eggs which is a tad disappointing as they were expecting 8-10 plus I got 7 last time. I'm just hoping the quality is better now. I'm nervous for the calls over the next few days.

@BeHereNowx32 try not to worry, we had 143 at 13dp5dt last time and this was low but it doubled at 48h and eventually worked out in the end. Would have been far lower than 66 at 9dp. Gave me no end of stress at the time tho. And congratulations!!!!!

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip sorry to hear you are going through a stressful time. I am also feeling less than confident about this round 😞 Could you get a blood test done privately for you own peace of mind? Our clinic does one if BFN or BFP but only after HPT. Not sure I’ll bother going if it’s BFN though. X

@SpyroC well done on surviving EC. Hope you're feeling ok. 6 eggs is fine - as you said it's all about how they fertilise so we will just hope for some good news x

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip yes best not to worry just yet. I also have some big decisions if this doesn't work but am trying (unsuccessfully) to put them to one side until I know for sure.

Feel so much like I'm about to come on but then I'm on such a massive dose of progesterone that I know I probably won't. No more blood tests now until the big one on Sunday. In some ways that is a relief not to have to keep traipsing into London but it was also something to do to pass the time.

@unclebrynsfishingtrip I'm sorry that you're feeling stressed. As you say though, it's early days yet!

@spyroc- sorry to hear you're disappointed. Six is a decent number though, and hopefully those six will all be brilliant quality. Fingers crossed for you.

This morning I added Certrotide to my morning injections. I found Gonal F nice and straightforward to use, but I must have watched the YouTube video on Certrotide about six times. I was so paranoid and anxious I'd do it wrong, but it seemed to go ok in the end.

I have to go for a scan on Saturday morning to see how my follicles are doing. It still feels so surreal to be having treatment after waiting for over a year!

@SpyroC 6 is a good number. I’ve had 3 EC and got between 6-8 eggs. Finger crossed for you and the eggs over the next few days xx

@Glitterandunicorns exciting to be in the swing of things. I've not done a fresh cycle for a couple of years but I used to find cetrotide really tricky too. I can remember the powder sticking to the sides of the bottle and not being able to dissolve it properly. My clinic made me take it at about 5am and I remember my partner and I fiddling about with it stressed - me crying, him getting frustrated!! Glad you got the hang of it x

@SpyroC 6 eggs is very good! Fingers crossed for a fab fertilization rate and lots of little blastos. When is next update?

@Janefx40 I literally have zero symptoms, no cramps, no PMS feelings and no breast tenderness. It’s weird as on all previous cycles I’ve had tender boobs soon after starting on progesterone. I’m on probably double the dose now but no symptoms. I think no point trying to read into any of this as it can still go either way (although I clearly need to follow my own advice 😂)

@Parkandride so glad AF finally showing face. It’s hideous waiting to turn up! Hope full flow is here now. V annoying about the embryo storage charges though, have they agreed not to charge if you’re still

Morning all! Well I was awake at 5am but managed to nod off and not have a wee until a reasonable hour! Am shocked and happy to report that we have a bfp! Did 2 tests and they agree with each other too! No idea now if I feel queasy because of excitement and nerves or because of the embryo or both! There's definitely plenty hormones as I burst into tears when the cross came up on the CB!

@granddesigns yay!!! Congratulations. That is amazing news. 👏🏻🌟💐 For some reason I had it in my head that your test day was Monday so was a bit worried...but hooray.

Congratulations! That’s brilliant! Haha that’s so funny. I woke up at 5am on the day I was going to test as well! I did the test, then had to lie in bed waiting until a sensible hour to wake up DH!

Yeah I was all worried about the number too, but I read as much as I could on it from Dr Google, and it doesn’t matter as long as it goes up if you get it done again. I think I would have been worried if I’d been the min value (which is 5 I think). My blood test was 9dp5dt FET cycle.

Sounds like you’re having a tough time. Just take it one step at a time (easier said than done). Good luck for your official test day.

Haha, well if it’s twins, that doubles all my worries! I don’t have any children, so I’d really just love the chance to have one.

Hope everyone else doing ok and the rest of us on 2WW are not going too nuts with the wait. Am 6dp5dt today. After saying I had no symptoms yesterday I started getting period like pains since last night and a break out of spots like I do before AF - argh! 😖

@Parkandride how are you feeling? Have you called the clinic?

My period came last Thursday and I went in for a scan on Friday morning. I have a few small fibroids which the clinic is monitoring but so far are not concerned about them and do not suggest removal.
However on Friday morning my Doctor (where I go for the scan) saw 8 new small fibroids and needless to say I was devastated and spent the whole day crying. Late in the afternoon, the clinic told me that they are happy with the scan and we can start the estradiol so I asked them for clarification about the new fibroids. They told me that they always see a lot of small fibroids in my Scans, however this time, my doctor decided to include them in the report! It was such a massive relief as at least I don’t have new growth since the stimulation. I really don’t understand why my doctor decided to do that as it has put me under a lot of stress.

Anyway, I am now on day 5 of the treatment and my next scan to check the lining is on Wednesday. If they are happy, they will give us more details about when we can travel for the transfer! We are doing it in a Greece and we are thinking of spending a few extra days there relaxing by the beach as we both really need a break. I’m beginning to feel the excitement now!!
