Hi, we are starting a FET this month after a bit of back and forth with the clinic. Start downreg on Fri with ET hopefully first week of July. Wondering if anyone else cycling around the same time? X

Yes, good luck to all with ET today!

@granddesigns
The 2ww is sooooo long! When I read stuff about it being the hardest bit, I thought yeah right...it’s just like trying naturally and waiting 2w. How wrong was I?! I think it’s because so much has gone in to getting to that point, that time literally has been standing still. For me anyway. Good luck for when you have your blood test.

My ET was on Wed 1st July, so now 9dp5dt so I had my blood test today so need to wait to find out result later today.
I watched these you tube videos with all these American women talking about symptoms who had spotting, cramping and sore boobs, but I’ve not had anything like that. I’ve been mega thirsty, had headaches, had vivid dreams, a little constipation (great times!) and been tired, but I think that’s the progesterone side effects more than anything else. I also had such bad dandruff the other night! Is that even a sign of anything apart from needing a hair wash?!

I did do a HPT yesterday morning (I couldn’t wait any longer and needed answers!) and there was a faint line, but very very faint. I’m waiting for later today and trying to not get my hopes up/keep my hopes up! It’s a delicate balance!

SpyroC · 10/07/2020 09:54

Good luck for today @Ash75454 and @Lemongrass1.

I just got back from my scan. I have 6 follicles looking good. Which is exactly the same as this stage last time. I was hoping for a few more but I'm also glad it's not worse.

DH is now picking up my Lubion prescription. Has anyone had Lubion alongside cyclogest for extra progesterone support before? I didn't have this last time.

BeHereNowx32 · 10/07/2020 10:43

@granddesigns hope you’re coping ok! Do you get a blood test or home urine test?
I’ve been feeling a bit off last couple of days. Mood swings, feeling a bit rough, tired. Definitely think it’s the progesterone! I had cramps the 2 days after transfer and some lower back pain. Now I just have a heavy feeling in my stomach. 🤷‍♀️ who knows if it’s means anything when we are on these hormones!
Had a cry last night thinking it hasn’t worked though. This takes a lot of patience! Wishing you lots of luck for the rest of the wait.

@LemonRabbit good luck for your blood test results, but it sounds really promising with your urine test!

RosettaR · 10/07/2020 10:59

Good luck today @Lemongrass1 and @Ash75454

@UncleBrynsfishingtrip I know can't believe you are so far along already! Fingers crossed for your little embryo!

Good luck with the result today @LemonRabbit! I can't imagine what waiting for that phone call must be like. Good luck distracting yourself until it comes!

@SpyroC six follicles sounds good! Fingers crossed you have some top quality eggs in there.

So I got my phone call this morning, of our three eggs that fertilised, one looks really good and isn't far off where it needs to be for day 5, one is lagging behind but may get there, and one has given up completely. I think that's good news. They will ring on Sunday morning to confirm whether we need to go in for a transfer.

Lemongrass1 · 10/07/2020 11:09

@LemonRabbit good luck with results 🤞🤞🤞 HPT sounds promising!

@SpyroC 6 promising follicles is great! I take Lubion and it does make the area sore for a day but I find it gets better over time. Definitely helped my progesterone levels. Inject it slowly, wait for a bit (5 secs) to take needle out and massage the area after. X

@RosettaR great news that 2 are in the running, hope you get good news at weekend 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

I’m about to go in now, hanging around outside nervously x

Good luck @Lemongrass1

@BeHereNowx32
I’ve had a couple of little cries too. I’m blaming the medication! I think it stems from feeling helpless. Apart from taking your medication there’s not much we can do!

@RosettaR
That is good news! Fingers crossed your good emby keeps growing and transfer can go ahead soon. Hopefully number 2 makes it too.

Janefx40 · 10/07/2020 13:11

@RosettaR so pleased we still have 2 in the running. My daughter was a slow developing embie so that one could catch up x

@LemonRabbit good luck with the results. The wait is agonising.

@Lemongrass1 @Ash75454 hope your transfers go/went well!

@SpyroC I'm taking Lubion 3 times a day. I do go to Clinic Overkill tho! The injection has been ok - I actually requested it because I've had prontogest in the past and that is pretty bloody awful.

@granddesigns I love what you said "everything is a symptom of everything and nothing is a symptom of nothing"! That's exactly it. Because they could be symptoms of pregnancy or progesterone or imagination or normal and there's no way of knowing. It's hellish!

Parkandride · 10/07/2020 13:37

Exciting times everyone! Hope today's transfers went well

Sounds so promising @lemonrabbit fingers firmly crossed for you

Sending so many good vibes to those in the 2ww, it's hell isn't it. Probably worse now in pandemic times with less to distract you

Brilliant news for your 2 embryos still in the running @RosettaR sounds like the first is a tough little thing!

Still no period, ridiculous. I did a test this morning just in case but it was negative, which is good as we do PGD ivf to avoid a genetic condition so natural pregnancies are not on the cards! Going to have a few drinks tonight and try chill out. It's just frustrating that I should be finished with injections now.

Lemongrass1 · 10/07/2020 14:06

Transfer went well, they said 95% of cells survived and it started to expand again so 🤞 Got a picture and saw the flash when it went in.

@Janefx40 the prontogest is AWFUL isn’t it? I had 3 injections when I took it a few years back and could barely walk afterwards. The Lubion is loads better in comparison.

@Parkandride that’s so annoying about your period. Never on time when you need it most, whether that is for IVF, holiday timing etc.. 🙄 Hope it comes by the weekend

GG82 · 10/07/2020 16:35

@SpyroC I think Lubion is progesterone injection style; cyclogest is progesterone vaginal style. Research said use both injection and vaginal at the same time maximise the successful rate.
@RosettaR Good luck on Sunday.
@LemonRabbit I think day 9 after ET hcg level is not high enough to be detected. If you see a fair line You got a high potential positive result GrinFingers cross for your blood result.

ET 6.29 Day 11 HPT was negative. Feel less hope of a positive result for tmr

Ash75454 · 10/07/2020 17:10

@LemonRabbit good luck with test result.

My embryo is officially in so my TWW is now ticking.
My clinic dont test until 12dp. Feels like an age away.

Congrats @Lemongrass1 too. Fingers crossed now

@RosettaR good luck over weekend

thefishthatcouldwish · 10/07/2020 19:30

Just want to say good luck to everyone in their upcoming cylce. All the best to you.

I went to consent signing and to start treatment today.

Unfortunately I was over the maximum weight by 4kg.

I am such a failure.

When I have lost the weight we can start again with bloods and then dates to start.

I think I am gunna bow out of this thread.

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 10/07/2020 19:44

@thefishthatcouldwish
Sending you sooooo much love tonight.
Be kind to yourself and you have not failed. Very very soon you will be starting xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Janefx40 · 10/07/2020 20:00

@thefishthatcouldwish I'm so sorry. That must feel awful but you are 100% not a failure. Losing weight is such a tough thing and even harder when going through something like infertility. Be kind to yourself. This is a hard hard journey we are all on.

So much love to you. Totally understand if you want to leave the thread but we will always be here for you if you want us

Xxx

SpyroC · 10/07/2020 20:39

Sounds good @RosettaR fingers crossed for Sunday. 🤞🏻

Thanks for the advice @Lemongrass1. They didn't test my progesterone levels last time but I didn't get and progesterone/pregnancy symptoms last time. I also felt like I was having a period without bleeding so hopefully this will help. Is it still a stomach injection? Congratulations on your transfer too. X

Thanks @Janefx40 perhaps it's the prontogest I've heard scary things about then! I only have to inject once every 3 days. I hope it's enough!

Thanks @GG82 the research is reassuring. I have my fingers crossed for you tomorrow.

Congratulations on your transfer @Ash75454 x

Sorry to gear that @thefishthatcouldwish as the others say you are not a failure. This awful process has a habit of making us feel this way. X

LemonRabbit · 10/07/2020 20:58

@thefishthatcouldwish
That must have been very difficult today. You’re not a failure. We’re all in this desperately unfair situation.
I don’t know anything about you or health conditions so I apologise if there’s some key info I don’t understand but 4kg will be tough but not an impossible target. Today has been a setback, but don’t give up!

Janefx40 · 10/07/2020 22:14

Congrats @Lemongrass1 and @Ash75454 on your transfers. Lots of us in the 2WW now.

@SpyroC I'm sure once every three days is plenty. I'm not taking cyclogest so just Lubion plus as I said my clinic are massive over-treaters. I'm like a bloody pin cushion and it's only day 1. Wish I was only every 3 days too!!!

Glitterandunicorns · 10/07/2020 23:47

@thefishthatcouldwish- I'm sorry things didn't go how you'd hoped today. It sounds rough.

Random question- I'm having my day 2 scan bright and early tomorrow morning. Does anyone know if I need a full bladder for it? My information pack doesn't say.

LemonRabbit · 11/07/2020 00:09

Hi @Glitterandunicorns,
I normally always went to the toilet at the hospital before scans when stimming. It’s pretty uncomfy having a scan if you need to pee!
I’m not sure if all clinics/procedures are the same but you only need a full bladder for the ET. If in doubt go with a full bladder and then ask if you can go to toilet beforehand?

Tarsette · 11/07/2020 06:33

Just had my scan on day 9 and the lining was growing fine but my dr saw some shadows which she thinks are polyps or scars so my cycle is now cancelled. Feeling devastated. My dr thinks I need a procedure to remove the polyps and then I can try again, but I’m not sure I can face going through all of that. What if I have the procedure, go through the whole cycle with stims again and then my blasts still don’t implant? I will have done all of this for nothing. This was supposed to be our last try, just a simple FET, butbitbb va is now turning into a whole big nightmare (as always with IVF). I’m seriously considering just throwing in the towel. I already have one miracle daughter, maybe I should just be content with her and stop torturing myself to try and have another.

Janefx40 · 11/07/2020 06:48

Oh @Tarsette I'm so sorry. That is just so hard. I can understand you feeling like you want to give up on the whole thing. Give yourself some time to recover from this. Be extra nice to yourself and let yourself grieve for this cycle. You can make any decision that feels right later on. Xxx

UncleBrynsfishingtrip · 11/07/2020 07:06

@Tarsette
Gosh not the news you were expecting Taresette.
You don’t need to make any decisions right now. You need time to process everything and recover from the shock/disappointment. Focus on your gorgeous daughter today. How old is she? Xx

Ash75454 · 11/07/2020 07:08

Sorry to hear @Tarsette
Have a little break and space to have a think about your next move.

thefishthatcouldwish · 11/07/2020 07:14

@Tarsette please take care of yourself. Take the time you need. Don't make any decision yet. Just take time.

Woke up after terrible night sleep ( next door had a party and someone was sick right outside my house) .

I am in Wales where restrictions are still quite in force.

Feel down but I am determined. I have walked the dog two miles this morning and not the usual one.

For all the TWWers hope you fill your day and that it goes quickly.
