IVF&FET June/July cycle buddies

Hi, we are starting a FET this month after a bit of back and forth with the clinic. Start downreg on Fri with ET hopefully first week of July. Wondering if anyone else cycling around the same time? X

@gg82 that sounds like it must be a bit stressful. I'm crossing my fingers for a good result for you.

Tomorrow is my Day 1 so I'll be calling my hospital to arrange my appointment for Friday morning, when I'll pick up my medications and start the injecting fun! I can't believe how quickly all this seems to be happening. It feels so surreal. We've been trying for a second child for four years now with 2 losses along the way (unexplained secondary infertility). It's fair to say I am feeling pretty anxious about it. We'll prob only be able to afford one attempt (I appreciate we're so lucky though; first in having a child already, and secondly in being able to pay privately for IVF at all).

Hi all, I hope you don't mind me joining at this late stage. I am on day 9 of stims and in for a scan tomorrow. This is my second cycle and I remember it was this point last time that the roller coaster really got going so I will likely need a hand hold!

Ok Ladies I need an intervention. I just worked out I've spent £44 in Pret since Monday!! In my defence that includes some food for others as well as me but still....

@Janefx40 just stress about one thing at a time! And ivf is stressful enough 😆 I’m the same though. Buying takeaways. Most of the time I don’t even enjoy them, but it makes life easier!
How are you feeling? What time is transfer?

I’m finding today a little tougher. Just trying to push everything to the back of my mind.

@BeHereNowx32 They just called to tell me it's at 12:30. My clinic like to swathe everything in mystery until the last second.

They will call to tell me if the embies defrost ok so fingers crossed. I burst into tears when they rang - so weird - I thought I was absolutely fine but it gets you when you least expect it.

Sorry you're having a tough day. None of this is easy...

I was the same. Cried when they told me the grade of the embryo! Good luck!!

@BeHereNowx32 Welcome. I knew we will receive lots of unexpected answers but we have to stay strong with hopes. One good quality is enough to become a baby. All the best on your next scan

Nurse reply my email said don't test too early because trigger injection can lead fake positive result cry......emailed embryologist she said all 3 frozen blastocyst are good quality. Let's hope Saturday there is miracle! Yes

@Janefx40 good luck on your transfer! I hope everything went well and you are resting up. On transfer day, I always allow myself a whole day of lounging on the couch!

I had my scan to day, on day 7, and my lining was 6.9mm so, so far so good. I’m getting at least 2 extra days of stims to see if it goes up to 8mm (if not, they’ll add an extra 2 days, as long as my estrogen levels are not through the roof!).

@Tarsette thanks so much for sharing your success with low fertilisation rates, that means so much. I'll find out tomorrow morning if any of my three have survived to day 3. Glad to hear you're lining is developing well!

@Janefx40 is it just me then that finds the cost of IVF makes everything else seem minute. What's £40? That won't even get you an FET! How was today?

Good luck for your scan @SpyroC! Are you doing a frozen or fresh cycle?

Can anyone advise me whether it's normal to still be incredibly bloated two days after EC? I'm more bloated than I was on Tuesday, and still in a bit of pain when I walk. I'm glad I'm not seeing anyone because they'd probably ask if I was pregnant!

@Janefx40 hope all went well today. On the count down here for transfer tomorrow and nerves kicking in now.

This is FET 3 for me. The 2nd resulted in my daughter a few years ago so I've got it in my head to try do the same things pre transfer as I did then!

Anyone else have any weird pre transfer rituals.

@RosettaR worth picking up phone to check in with clinic. In meantime make sure you have plenty fluid including some electrolyte drinks to see if helps

Yes I agree about the money. That doesn't even buy me a blood test at my clinic. What's £40?!

@Ash75454 good luck tomorrow. I didn't have a routine but I did leave my phone behind while I was waiting and just sat and breathed in calming breaths (I'm literally never without my phone so that was quite a change

@RosettaR I'm so sorry that sounded so insensitive when you don't know the outcome. I was just wondering if tomorrow could be a transfer day for you if things go well. Sorry to sound as tho I was brushing all the worry aside.

I didn't think you were insensitive @Janefx40! I think my clinic only does 5- day transfers, so it will be 5-day or nothing. They consider that any embryo that doesn't make it to day 5 in the lab also wouldn't have survived in your body. I know other clinics think differently. But at least there's no decision on my shoulders which makes it easier in a way.

Thanks @Glitterandunicorns and @RosettaR this is a fresh cycle. I'm on a long protocol. I don't know about the bloating as I was very lucky last time and had no post collection issues whatsoever. I doubt I'll be so lucky this time!

@RosettaR yes bloating is normal and can last a few days especially with so many follicles xxx

Good luck to those prepping for ET today - hope things go well for you! That was us a week ago, trying to work in the morning but not being very focussed and having a very steady weekend! Have concluded everything is a symptom of everything and nothing is a symptom of nothing! One week down and I'm itching to know but holding out. Had a few twinges, a very minor snuffle and some soreness but who knows what that means or doesn't mean! How are the others in the 2ww doing?!
