Just that really, I know it's a difficult time for so many people, but clinics shuttered just as DP finally agreed to get his semen analyisis done. My progesterone was normal, and I have regular periods, so I don't think Clomid would be an option for us. We've been trying for a year and a half, and I am 35 on Saturday.

If we do get a referral, and need IVF, how long will that take? So many questions?

Thanks

RonRon1 · 27/08/2020 17:38

Thanks everyone it doesn't quite feel real. Need to stay grounded as its easy to get carried away.

I can't thanks u all enough for all ur support in this it's a hard journey but I can't believe I am finally pregnant after 4 years x

Scirocco · 27/08/2020 20:33

@RonRon1 congratulations!

LouScot · 29/08/2020 16:38

@RonRon1 congratulations!! I missed this earlier in the week, that's fantastic! You'll be counting the days until your scan Grin x

BeHereNowx32 · 30/08/2020 08:56

@RonRon1 how are you feeling?

@Daisz how are you? When is your scan?

My bleeding has stopped but I had to rearrange my scan with the hospital on Friday, because I am unwell. It’s on Wednesday now. I think it will all be away.

Hope everyone else ok x

Daisz · 30/08/2020 09:24

Hey @BeHereNowx32, nice to hear from you. Sorry things are still not great for you. I really hope you start to feel better soon. I have been quite nauseous throughout, and I have really felt that way since a few days after embryo transfer. This is completely different to last time, as I felt practically nothing before, but hoping it starts to ease when I come off my meds. My 12 week scan has been booked for the 29thSeptember.

Hoping everyone else is keeping well! I was trying to think who else is next after @RonRon1 but am I right in thinking there is no one immediately yet?

Hope the wait for your scan goes quickly @RonRon1. I hope all goes well for you @BeHereNowx32 on Wednesday, hopefully after confirmation that all is ok your sickness will start to ease.xx

RonRon1 · 30/08/2020 09:29

Thanks everyone for ur well wishes. I feel good @beherenow32 I am just really tired but I dont know if that's just me as I tend to be a bit lazy lol. I am also really Thirsty which I googled and that's normal but I had never heard it until now. No that the shock has passed I am feeling a bit nervous and really want to get to my 7 week scan!

I am sorry u are still not well @beherenow32. I hope Wednesday goes Ok. I'll be thinking of u!

So do we know who will be next in the group for treatment or had anyone had any news from their clinic? The last 3 times I have been in it's been so busy so hopefully they are starting to see more people x

Scirocco · 30/08/2020 18:43

Got an update - probably November for my next appointment but unlikely to have any treatment options until next year. I've pretty much given up hope of having any living children of my own now.

LouScot · 30/08/2020 20:33

@Scirocco - sending you hugs. Is it a consultation in November? I'm feeling similar due to my fast approaching birthday (42) and shitty amh levels, but desperately trying to keep positive. I genuinely don't know if I'm deluding myself and not accepting reality, but for me without hope there's nothing. Does it help to cling to the fact that the November appointment might be useful, or is that too much clutching at straws? xx

BeHereNowx32 · 31/08/2020 16:21

@Scirocco I hope everything moves along quicker after your appointment 😔 I know November feels like ages away too. Hope you’re ok. I’m sure there’s still hope. Is this with the nhs?

@Daisz @RonRon1 good to hear all going well. Exciting that your scans are close.

Think the next couple of weeks have to be nice weather 🤞 I’m going to try get out and about and hope this cold goes soon. And then can focus on nice things 💕

We are still thinking to wait 6 months. And tbh, I am not looking forward to it. Xx

Daisz · 02/09/2020 07:29

All the best for today @BeHereNowx32.♥️

Scirocco · 02/09/2020 08:54

Yeah, it's NHS. :-(

Scirocco · 02/09/2020 08:55

All the best for today @BeHereNowx32 - take care. 💜

BeHereNowx32 · 02/09/2020 13:53

@Scirocco @Daisz thank you
The sac is still there! I can’t believe it. So, I need to go pick up the meds on Friday. I am anxious to take them. Worrying about the pain and sickness. Then I go back for a scan in 2 weeks. They were asking what we wanted to do about trying again. But this is putting me off.

@Scirocco it takes such a long time with nhs. Private is quicker, but I know it costs a lot. They told me just told phone them and they will arrange a month for me to start again. No mention of a waiting list xx

willithappen · 02/09/2020 14:45

@Scirocco
I feel your pain. We've been on the list since May, and told today that it's likely to be another six or seven months before we are contacted to start treatment. They are working their way through aged 40+ and backwards by age through the list at my clinic so because I'm 28 I'm lower down on that contact list now.
We were referred in October last year so it's so disheartening with the long waits but I just have to be greatful that I have the opportunity at all anyway.
Unexplained + all this waiting is a nightmare. Feel helpless and like there's nothing I can do

Daisz · 02/09/2020 14:48

So sorry @BeHereNowx32. You have been through so much already, I really do not know what to say.💔

BambiOnIce80 · 02/09/2020 15:41

Just popped on to update and then saw all your posts and realised I must not be getting notifications! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I'm sorry you're still going through this @BeHereNowx32 💙 I found the meds OK, but then they didn't work for me - guessing I would have had some side effects if they did. I'm not surprised you're put off about talking about when to do your next cycle given what your still going through 💐 All I'd say is that we were put on the July list post MMC in March and was just offered January this morning, so possibly a 6 month wait at present? Impossible to tell if it'll go up or down with the covid situation being as it is.

I hope your still comfy in your bubble @Daisz? When will your booking appointments be?

I totally understand your frustrations @Scirocco and @willithappen ❤️ I've found talking to our clinics counsellor has been really useful, if only for a safe space to vent for an hour a month.x

How are you feeling @RonRon1? Knackered and peeing a lot is what I remember from early pregnancy, so you're not alone there! 😄

I hope you hear from GCRM soon @LouScot 🤞

So, EFREC rang me this morning and told us our FET would be in January... I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I was crest fallen 😔 If we did get pregnant (and I know it's a big if), then we'd be on the same time line as our pregnancy that ended in MMC this year and that realisation hit me really hard (even though it's illogical and nonsense, it was still the way it made me feel). Once I got off the phone and looked at AF dates I then also realised it was likely I'd hit the December shutdown again (same thing happened last time), so I rang and left a message to check... needed to steal myself for the possibility of a February FET, iyswim.

They rang me back, said they'd reviewed my notes and were happy to tell me that we could have a November FET and to ring when October's AF arrives! 🤯 I'm delighted, but bamboozled as to how I'd gone from a January FET to a November FET in less than an hour! Just got to hope that covid doesn't come along and torpedo our time line now 🤞🔮 🤞🔮

BeHereNowx32 · 02/09/2020 16:16

@Daisz thank you. It’s just frustrating. But I will be ok.

@BambiOnIce80 aw brilliant news 🥰🥰 so glad that you finally have your date. It’s not far away.
Thanks for your experience with the meds. Did you end up with the surgery? Or meds again?
Maybe I will ask the hospital to put me on a list for 6 months time then. I’ll see what they say. They were asking if I want to do a fresh cycle again. But it’s unlikely.
Wishing you all the best for when FET starts. You have been through a lot with ivf xx

BambiOnIce80 · 02/09/2020 16:45

Thank you @BeHereNowx32 🥰 I had two days/doses of the pills and they sadly didn't work for me, so the doc said there was no point trying a third day/dose. She booked me in for surgery the next day and I was OK with that (I just wanted it over 😔). They were lovely on ward 210 and the surgery was fine - no complications. Went down to theatre at 1.30pm and was home by 5.30pm 👍 I hope the pills work for you and this chapter is over soon.x

Daisz · 02/09/2020 17:18

That is lovely news that you have a clearer picture of what is going on @BambiOnIce80. So if I am not mistaken it looks like your next in line? That is a pleasant surprise! I actually had my booking appointment this morning. We were supposed to meet face to face, but the midwife called me on Friday to say it would just be a phone consultation this morning. I was on the phone for an hour, just answering all the basic standard questions, but it looks like the first time we shall be meeting face to face will be when I am 16 weeks, apart from a quick meeting to get my blue notes before my 12 week scan. Looks like it will he a very different process this time round due to Covid, but she did go over how everyone is supposed to see the same midwife up to and including at the birth, so if it works out that will definitely be a different experience. I am due to get two extra scans later on in my pregnancy because I am over 40. I did mention that my consultant said I would be treated as a 37 year old due to my embryo age throughout the pregnancy, but the midwife said that with an over 40 pregnancy regardless of embryo age, the growth rate of the baby can slow down, due to the maternal age making growth less efficient. That is news to me, as I certainly had not heard that before, so just another thing to worry about. I know last time when my blood pressure shot up towards the end of my pregnancy, I was advised to get an extra growth scan, and I remember the sonographer being so nasty about it, and not wanting to really do it. She said that really a 12 and 20 week should be all that anyone gets, but not like it was me asking for it. Really hope I don't encounter that again, because I remember leaving feeling quite upset, like I was being a nuisance. Anyway congratulations again Bambi ♥️.x

BambiOnIce80 · 02/09/2020 17:51

Oooh, I must have felt a disturbance in the force @Daisz! 🔮 😄 That's funny that it was today! Have you got your 12 week scan soon too then? That is news about needing more scans after 40 😯 I guess it's reassuring to know they're going to be keeping a close eye on you though.x

RonRon1 · 02/09/2020 19:54

@Scirocco I hope you are feeling better? sorry you have been feeling so rubbish! Sometimes you just get so frustrated and angry!

@BambiOnIce80 well that is great that you got some good news and that they moved your date !!! So you are next in the group!!!!

@BeHereNowx32 aw I wish it was all over for you already. I hope you are ok! I hope the medication is ok and you dont get ill!

I feel good, yes @Bambi I am defo peeing more and tired!!!!. Done about Sore boobs I have done about 20 tests!! I just want to get to the 17th for the scan and I feel I can relax more... x
