Just that really, I know it's a difficult time for so many people, but clinics shuttered just as DP finally agreed to get his semen analyisis done. My progesterone was normal, and I have regular periods, so I don't think Clomid would be an option for us. We've been trying for a year and a half, and I am 35 on Saturday.

If we do get a referral, and need IVF, how long will that take? So many questions?

Thanks

I didn't drink/eat anything special when I did egg retrieval 5 years ago. I remember being quite naive about the whole thing. I certainly did not look at online forums or do any specific research, but it can't hurt just to follow a sensible healthy diet @RonRon1 for preparation. I have been doing very light aerobic excersise, nothing too strenuous, I suppose you don't want to put your body under too much stress at once. If you enjoy running perhaps you can do a short jog around the park as opposed to going for long runs around the city, I suppose it is all about moderation. That is good to have a rough date to work towards, gives your mind something to focus on and aim for.

@RonRon1 I ate protein and drank raspberry leaf tea/ pomegranate juice during the stimming injections. I tried to eat lots of fruit and veg, chicken, pulses. It was my last try so I really did try hard. But I also was on different medication, which is probably the real reason it was successful, compared with the other rounds.
I also had a tiny drink of cider mixed with lemonade during the tww 🤣 that reminds me, I don’t have any red wine for the transfer! Do you just have it with your breakfast?!

Daisz · 04/07/2020 16:38

BeHereNowx32 I bought a really good bottle of red two weeks ago. Prof Robert Winston specific, Burgundy pinot noir full bodied. Happened to be in Asda and was having a browse and they had it. Only two bottles so I grabbed it. It was £12. It is sitting in my cupboard awaiting the big day. Last time I had one small glass the night before transfer, and one small glass on the morning of transfer day. I Remember thinking that the Burgundy did not taste that nice, despite the quality, I kept wondering if I happened to get a dud bottle because it was a bit vinegary. Will be interesting to see what this one is like. Not drinking it for the taste though just for the medicinal benefits,Wine

Hi all, I keep missing updates! @RonRon1 great news from your clinic!

Really interesting about the raspberry tea and red wine - I've been reading "it starts with the egg" but didn't see that there. My diet is pretty crap to be honest, but really useful to hear about tips. I'd asked gcrm if there was anything that helped but just got a "not really" answer, which I don't really believe - I get that there might not be any amazing peer reviewed evidence but I'm happy with anecdotes!!

@BeHereNowx32 best wishes for the transfer tomorrow, hope everything goes smoothly and look forward to hearing happy news x

BeHereNowx32 · 06/07/2020 06:47

@Daisz thank you! Didn’t manage to get the red wine, so been drinking pomegranate juice and pretending lol. Feel quite calm today. The mindful ivf is helping.
Be prepared for lots of symptom spotting from me the next week! 😆
Hope everyone else doing ok.

RonRon1 · 06/07/2020 15:03

unknownscot · 06/07/2020 15:38

@BeHereNowx32 wishing you all the luck, hope and love! ❤️

BeHereNowx32 · 08/07/2020 12:36

How is everyone?! I’m going insane here! Just went through old messages to see what my symptoms were when I fell pregnant 2 years ago (wanted to compare 🙄🙄).

@Daisz how are you feeling? Feel like you’ve been waiting ages on your scan!! (Sorry)

Daisz · 08/07/2020 13:35

@BeHereNowx32 Oh it still very early days, you probably would not expect to get symptoms yet, maybe in another couple of days or so once implantation is complete. It is amazing how much you do forget. For me it has been 3 years and I have literally forgotten everything. But I think what you should generally be looking out for is pinching and cramping and anyth

Daisz · 08/07/2020 13:42

...... @BeHereNowx32 my phone jumped and posted! Yes basically anything resembeling PMT like symptoms. Try and distract just even for a couple of days, as I say still think it is too early to worry. Yip it feels like an eternity that I have been waiting, roll on Tuesday and hopefully I will know when my transfer date will be!xx
