Morning everyone, can’t quite believe it tested this morning and I’m pregnant!!!! Smile

confused107 · 30/03/2020 07:10

@Twins2girls congratulations that's amazing xx

ChatWithMe · 30/03/2020 07:11

Yay! That's great news Twins2girls!! Congratulations Flowers

Twins2girls · 30/03/2020 07:24

Thank you, I think I’m still a little shocked, will call the clinic when they open and see what happens next x

ChatWithMe · 30/03/2020 07:48

Understandably! It takes some time getting used to ;-) Curious why you chose the username Twins2girls? And still confused why there was talk of "the triplets" (can someone please explain this to me?)! Lol

Robson13 · 30/03/2020 07:52

Fantastic news @Twins2girls!

Twins2girls · 30/03/2020 08:00

@chatwithme about 12 years ago I went to see a spiritualist, just out of curiosity really. One of the things he said was ‘why are you so worried that you won’t have children, you don’t need to worry, you’ll have twins, 2 girls’

I was 26 then and wasn’t really thinking of having a baby but deep down I was worried about leaving it too late. I’m now 38, have been ttc for 2.5 years, had a very early chemical pregnancy after a month of trying but since then nothing. First fresh cycle in December last year failed, but left us with 2 frozen. Both were put back in 2 weeks ago and now here I am today, finally pregnant....could this be my twin girls??? StarStar

ChatWithMe · 30/03/2020 08:14

Wow! That would be funny. They can tell if you're pregnant with twins with blood tests for HCG if the numbers are really high I heard. However, it's all gonna be known in a few weeks with your viability scan. What grades were the embryos?

SpyroC · 30/03/2020 08:28

Congratulations @Twins2girls ! Great news. It will be so crazy if it's twins. 6 now, this thread is feeling lucky.

@ChatWithMe the triplets comes from me and 2 others being at the exact stone stage during stims.

That's the plan @Pinktruffle. Lockdown and tww are not a good combo. Although, the reduced stress and tiredness can only be a good thing.

ChatWithMe · 30/03/2020 08:51

Thanks for clarification SpyroC! How are you finding side effects from progesterone? I feel lethargic, bloating, a bit of a cough (don't worry, no other symptoms, only since this medication or egg collection, no fever!). Last night you could have rolled me to bed I was feeling so bloated! Always gets somewhat better in the mornings then kicks in after lunch time.

Twins2girls · 30/03/2020 09:08

@chatwithme due to the current my clinic are no longer offering blood tests, just a HPT for now so will have to wait for the first scan. Booked in for 20th April, here goes another long wait!!

Who else is testing this week?

ChatWithMe · 30/03/2020 09:12

Not long til you know either way!

I'm testing Sunday x

SpyroC · 30/03/2020 09:39

@ChatWithMe I have just had a few mild cramps and this morning endo pains. Feels like af is imminent. This is disconcerting but I've obviously spent the morning googling to reassure myself that people do still get bfps with these symptoms. Of course I already knew this but the endo pains this morning have caused an extra hour of google. I really need to get working 🙈. Also I feel the opposite, I'm very awake. Probably due to the lack of activity and not progesterone though. How are you getting on @Robson13?

I test on Saturday @Twins2girls. 4 more get ups to get through.

Twins2girls · 30/03/2020 09:55

Best of luck to you both @SpyroC and @ChatWithMe 🤞

luby89k · 30/03/2020 10:12

@confused107 @Twins2girls

Congratulations everyone. So pleased on all the positive results 💕 Finally some good out of a shit situation!

Good luck for test @ChatWithMe @SpyroC not long now.

@Rumtopf How did you get on with the other 2 embryos? Congrats on one freeze so far!

Sorry been quiet. Tried to distract myself over the weekend so didn't log on.

Lab called this morning, i have 2 embryos frozen. I asked about grading and they said they don't do it as only early blasts. God knows if that's good or bad but at least Iv got something to go back in.

ChatWithMe · 30/03/2020 11:03

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Each day feels like an eternity!

Robson13 · 30/03/2020 11:28

@Twins2girls that's such a great story thanks for sharing. Fingers crossed it becomes a reality for you.

I'm testing on Saturday, I'm so scared to test! Last night I had a weird feeling in my lower abdomen and couldn't sleep for thinking 'could it be implantation?' I'm so tired today, combination of the strain of IVF as well as the worry that the virus is causing. My husband runs his own business and could possibly lose his income. Such a stressful time for everyone all over the world.

KazzyFroggy · 30/03/2020 13:01

@confused107 Congratulations!!

Fingers crossed to all those testing this week and for all these little beans to be sticky ones!!!

I'm 34, partner is 32, we tried to conceive for 2 and a half years. I was diagnosed with PCOS and my partner has abnormal morphology. Never had a positive before.

We started the treatment on 25th February. Egg retrieval was March 12th, 16 eggs, 10 fertilised, 2 made it, 1 fresh transfer, the other frozen. Egg transfer was on March 17th. BNP on Saturday 28th March... and again today so feels more real!!! Scan on April 23rd.

Good luck to all of us xxx

KazzyFroggy · 30/03/2020 13:03

@Twins2girls sorry I missed your post! Congratilations !!!

granddesigns · 30/03/2020 13:17

Congratulations to all those
Who have bfp's so far on this thread. And sending love and luck to those waiting or feeling the clock ticking towards testing day. Still trying to keep up with the thread but also to have some distance as our new FET could be so far away too. Dipping in and out of discussions and trying to keep track of outcomes.

ChatWithMe · 30/03/2020 13:24

Yeah granddesigns. I think I will take a break from MN for a while after my pregnancy test either way as it's hard to keep up and I wanna focus on stuff unrelated to baby making! I'll def post my outcome though. Good luck getting that embryo back inside you within the next several months. If this embryo didn't make it were on the same path with our frozen embie as soon as out clinic allows x

SpyroC · 30/03/2020 13:54

That's great news @luby89k . It's weird they didn't give you a grade though. One thing Ledd to stress over I suppose!

OP posts:
Rumtopf · 30/03/2020 15:26

@luby89k that's great news! Now we just have to patiently wait for when we can start FET and try and be as healthy as possible for then.

Our other 2 didn't make it. We have 1 in the freezer so our hope hangs on that one.

CarbsAndCheese · 31/03/2020 11:43

Hi everyone,

Just trying to catch up with everyone’s news! It seems like this thread has been quite lucky on the BFP front 😊

@PickleKid and @Pinktruffle I hope the wait for your scans isn’t too difficult and you get rewarded with a lovely sight!

@KazzyFroggy and @Twins2girls congratulations on your BFP’s! And @confused107 I am so delighted you got your BFP after all the stress of not knowing if you would have anything to transfer! I am made up for you ☺️

@Robson13 @ChatWithMe and my triplet @SpyroC good luck for testing this weekend, please let us know how you get on!

@Rumtopf @luby89k and @granddesigns fingers crossed we will be able to join the others ASAP and have our frozen transfers. Really hoping that @Celerysam will be transferring with us too.

As for me, my period arrived 11 days after the egg collection and it’s awful. I’m also really sad thinking that this wasn’t meant to be happening and it had grown lovely and thick ready for an embryo to implant. I’m laid here dosed up on all the painkillers with all the hot water bottles still ploughing my way through Spooks and hoping it will get better both physically and mentally one day! I know many people have it so much worse, but this disappointment, along with not being able to go out and distract myself, is a bit miserable. I can’t even plan the holiday I promised myself we could go on if it all didn’t work out. Someone tell me to man up, please!

PickleKid · 31/03/2020 13:00

You're allowed some feelings @CarbsAndCheese so please take the time. You deserve that space to process and not feel rushed or guided in your healing. Manning up is over rated.

When you do a FET it starts with progenova or similar so you will again have a nice thick lining again before you know it. I believe it will be a week or two of pills and you will have it again no problem. Your lining was ready just before the injections started. And remember, some clinics, mine included, have better odds with frozen over fresh.

It is a scary time to be pregnant and I don't know if I knew then what I know now what I would have done. It feels like a bittersweet thing with a lot of hope but a lot of uncertainty. Six years of trying and then it happens in a pandemic feels like a movie and not real life.

I think we are all brave and deserve a medal for doing IVF in the best of times. Thanks
