@CarbsAndCheese it's brown not red so there's still hope. Big hugs!

@confused107 I hope you get some clarity soon. Hugs as well!

@rumtopf are you able to have rose for us while you are on your month off? Some soft cheese perhaps? Stand up paddle boarding? I know the wait is getting long so I hope you make the most of it in these lovely summer days.

@the other preggos I hope the symptoms are not unpleasant and you feel movement soon. Heartburn is kickin for me now! But baby is not- not yet anyway.

Rumtopf · 22/06/2020 22:27

@carbsandcheese would your period have been due now? Unless it's red you're still in the game, but you're right, it's so hard.

@Picklekid as much as I'd like a glass of rosè I can't, I'm 2dp5dt!

CarbsAndCheese · 24/06/2020 20:10

Ladies, you were right! First ever BFP for me today! How is everyone else doing?

Congratulations @CarbsAndCheese! Well done for making it through and a brilliant outcome for you that was worth the wait. Stay healthy and well on the road ahead....

confused107 · 24/06/2020 21:08

That's absolutely wonderful news. Massive congratulations @CarbsAndCheese

Pinktruffle · 24/06/2020 21:51

Aww @Carbsandcheese I am so so happy for you! Congratulations and all the best for a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Any idea when you'll have your first scan?

@PickleKid other than tiredness still being a bit of an issue every couple of days, on the whole, I'm doing ok for the second trimester. I'm 18 weeks tomorrow. I'm convinced I can feel the odd bit of movement by baby, it's like a rolling feeling in my belly, no kicks yet though.

PickleKid · 24/06/2020 22:12

@carbsandcheese congratulations what amazing news!!! May you eat all the things you love (that aren't on the no list) while your belly allows it, take glorious naps and bask in your new state.

@Pinktruffle I feel something that might be movement but the heartburn certainly distracts me from it. Is yours more a flutter or a pop? Mine is the pop.

@rumtopf sorry I mis @ you. Hope the TWW is going well! Crossing fingers and toes!

@spyroc hope you're enjoying the summer before the next bit starts on the 1st.

Pinktruffle · 24/06/2020 22:17

I'd say it was more of a pop @Picklekid, occasionally feels a little butterflyish but I'd describe it more like when you go over a bump in the road really fast and your stomach does that wierd flippy thing? Like when you're on a rollercoaster

Rumtopf · 24/06/2020 22:59

@Carbsandcheese wonderful news, congratulations! I'm so pleased for you!

SpyroC · 25/06/2020 19:28

I'm a bit stuck in my own head and feeling anxious this morning. Testing day is Wednesday. But, af would have been due yesterday and I'm having really niggly cramps. No spotting etc but am on so many meds it's unlikely.
I caved and tested last night but only with sainsbury's cheapies (was all they had in), it was neg. This morning my cramps woke me up so I tested again and got a very faint line, but it has a blue tinge to it so not just an evap line.
Arghhhh!

PickleKid · 28/06/2020 10:55

@Rumtopf Could be stress cramps. Stop peeing on things for a few days. I know it's harder said than done though! Make a nice dinner, go for a walk. And above all, be gentle on yourself. x

PickleKid · 28/06/2020 10:56

Also if you are going to pee on things anyway, don't use anything but first morning urine this early. Hugs!!

SpyroC · 28/06/2020 11:32

@Rumtopf eek I really hope it's a faint bfp! First morning urine would be more likely to pick it up. I think the cheapies are often just as sensitive as some of the brands. The last few days of the ivf tww are so emotionally challenging, it's so tough. I hope you manage to keep yourself distracted a bit today. X

"Stop peeing on things" ha! Yes ok, you have a point. That's what I say to my Shiba though, so it made me laugh. I'm decorating the hallway so that's distracting.

I'm just full of the what if's and teetering between anxiety and excitement. You all know full well what I mean, and tears are imminent either way! My tummy also looks like I've done a few rounds with Mike Tyson and dh was horrified when I walked out of the bathroom last night.

Hope everyone else is doing well! How have you all handled being pg and the heat?

PickleKid · 28/06/2020 12:53

Well... Maybe I'd be less hot if the belly didn't get so hairy all of a sudden. I've had to shave it!

I swear this pregnancy is turning me into a man- all hairy, sweary and farty. I've still only net 1 kg since pre-pregnancy weight but am getting nicely round.

I have gotten bigger boobs but that's not limited to pregnancy as my partner has also gained them eating his feelings through the pandemic and his engineering exams! 🙊

confused107 · 28/06/2020 13:03

Fingers crossed @Rumtopf It's so difficult isn't it? I don't think I've ever been more aware of my body than during the two week wait after IVF. Take care of yourself over the next few days x

Rumtopf · 28/06/2020 16:46

@PickleKid 🤣 your poor dh. Does he have to wait long for his exam results? Hairyness is so annoying, my collarbone decided to sprout the thinnest silvery hair the other night, in the evening it wasn't there, the next morning it was about an inch long! How?!

@confused107 thank you, I'm trying v hard to ignore most things, but the cramps were impossible. I shall just have to keep busy.

This afternoon I've kept myself occupied making this:

IVF Feb/March 2
CarbsAndCheese · 28/06/2020 17:39

Thanks everyone for the congratulations! I’m finding this three weeks of waiting until the scan almost impossible. My consultant has told me that with a strong positive on test day and my age the chances of it all being are ok are 85%, but all I can think is what if I’ve had a miscarriage and the medication is stopping me from bleeding, what if my hcg is actually dropping and I don’t know about it ....... 😬

@Rumtopf I also had the very niggly period type pains from transfer really but much more so in the four/five days before test day. I did a test every day after the transfer but didn’t look at them, and then looked at all of them on test day. Looking back I can see a faint line from 5 days after the transfer and it got darker each day. I’d recommend getting FRER tests because they are very sensitive and don’t seem to be associated with evap lines so much. Or holding off testing for a bit if you can manage it!

CarbsAndCheese · 30/06/2020 11:58

Sad news from me- I’m having a very early miscarriage. I hope everyone else is well and fingers crossed I’ll be joining those of you going through cycles again soon.

Pinktruffle · 30/06/2020 12:21

I'm so so sorry @carbsandcheese. I'll be thinking of you today and sending lots of love. We are all hear if you need to talk xxx

confused107 · 30/06/2020 12:25

SpyroC · 30/06/2020 17:40

Rumtopf · 01/07/2020 14:12

I'm so sorry@CarbsAndCheese it's so frustrating and upsetting. Thinking of you.

I got a bfn this morning with a FRER so that's fairly decisive. Have to drag it out til Friday to test again but it won't change. I'm just sick of the injections now with no good reason.

SpyroC · 01/07/2020 15:07

I'm so sorry @Rumtopf I was thinking of you this morning and hoping for some good news. Xx
