@PinkTruffle just popping back in to see how your scan went and I'm so glad it went wonderfully for you!

I'm taking a bit of a break from everything too atm to get myself back into a good place so can well understand people bowing out or being quiet. Hope everyone is keeping safe and well x

Twins2girls · 15/04/2020 07:33

@Rumtopf best of luck to you 😘

@confused107 is it your scan tomorrow?

confused107 · 15/04/2020 08:31

@Rumtopf best of luck with whatever is next

@Twins2girls yes tomorrow. Very nervous, I've had a couple of symptoms on and off but that could also be side effects of the cyglogest so who knows what's going on. Boobs are no longer sore and I don't 'feel' pregnant, not that I know what being pregnant feels like as I have never got this far before. Taking comfort in no bleeding, but it could just be the cyclogest stopping that also. I really hope the hubby can come in with me as I'm worried about bad news. How are you feeling?

@pinktruffle how are you feeling?

Twins2girls · 15/04/2020 08:48

@confused107 best of luck tomorrow and I really hope hubby can go with you. Let us know how it goes.

I’ve been feeling bloated, crampy and tired, like you, I can’t wait for the scan to know everything is ok, mine is Monday x

Pinktruffle · 15/04/2020 12:58

Im doing ok thanks @confused107 and @Twins2girls. Still having panics when my symptoms disappears for a day but trying to keep a grip on myself. I had my booking in appointment with midwife on Monday who was lovely. Just waiting to see if I'll be accepted by my chosen hospital for the delivery and waiting for my 12 week scan date. My hospital is the one I had IVF at but technically I am outside their catchment area for delivery so the midwife said that may delay things.

@confused 107 you sound exactly the same as me, try not to worry. I still feel that easy now, especially on the days I have no symptoms. The nausea is on and off so sometimes I think I'm imagining it. I know its easier said than done but try not to read too much in to it, it'll just drive you crazy. Good luck with the scan tomorrow and please update us.

@twins2girls please make sure you update us too, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that it's twins!

PickleKid · 15/04/2020 13:59

I'm a bit ahead of you (9 weeks on Friday) and finally have my scan tomorrow. What started as queasy on and off was full on chucking up my lunch upon smelling tomato today. I don't have breast tenderness much anymore but sometimes get more of a pain. The symptoms will come- and they will likely increase, so try to enjoy this time now to eat well and rest up. And if you make it through first trimester without feeling terrible, consider it a gift after the IVF.
🤢

Pinktruffle · 15/04/2020 14:48

Think I'm a week behind you @PickleKid, I'm 8 weeks tomorrow. I have gone off a lot of foods, I'm usually a alcoholic and the idea of anything sweet is not making my stomach turn. A lot of foods I usually love like pasta with a tomato sauce just repeat on me. The only thing I want to eat is fruit, potatos, olives and Ryvita with hummous on it and that's about it. Even things like bread just seem to taste awful to me. Its strange

confused107 · 15/04/2020 14:57

Thanks for the update @Pinktruffle and @PickleKid it's interesting to hear your symptoms which don't sound dissimilar to what I am experiencing on and off. I know you are right about relaxing. My husband hit the nail on the head today when he told me quite bluntly that all the worrying in the world won't change the result of tomorrow's scan or whether or not it's a successful pregnancy. He is right (and probably sick of me stressing) but like you said it's easier said and done, I know how lucky I am to have gotten this far and the whole thing doesn't feel real

Looking forward to your update @twins2girls. Also hoping for twins Smile

PickleKid · 15/04/2020 15:34

@pinktruffle I think you were trying to say chocoholic? 😘

PickleKid · 15/04/2020 15:37

Unless you are talking about sweet booze in which case, yup makes my stomach turn thinking about it. My beloved coffee is too acidic, and all smells are bad smells.

We are supposed to drive up to London for this scan and I'm contemplating my plastic bag options!

Twins2girls · 15/04/2020 15:40

I’m 7 weeks tomorrow so we all seem to be one week behind each other

@PickleKid 9 weeks
@pinktruffle 8 weeks
@Twins2girls 7 weeks
@confused107 what were you again?

Pinktruffle · 15/04/2020 15:43

@PickleKid haha, yes I did mean chocoholic - bloody autocorrect! I actually dont drink at all! I tried de-caf tea about a week ago and came the closest I have come to actually being sick rather than just feeling nauseous so knocked that on the head.

DH and I had to jump in the car to do something yesterday and the journey did not agree with me. I'm glad I'm getting to stay home and dont have to go to workl

confused107 · 15/04/2020 15:57

Haha @Pinktruffle thought you were coming clean about something for a minute there!

@Pinktruffle I hope the journey goes ok

@Twins2girls I think I'm 7 weeks tomorrow the same as you

Pinktruffle · 16/04/2020 11:42

Thinking of you today @confused107, I hope it goes well x

confused107 · 16/04/2020 12:27

Thanks @Pinktruffle it went well. Measuring perfect and a strong heartbeat. Due date 3rd December if all continues to progress well

Pinktruffle · 16/04/2020 12:39

Aww fantastic! I'm so happy for you @confused107! It's such a relief to see the little heart beating isn't it?! Did DH get to go in with you?
Our due dates are a week apart 🙂 Is the next step a midwife referral for you?

confused107 · 16/04/2020 12:59

Yes he was allowed in and to take pictures. The clinic spaced out the appointments so we were the only ones there and we had our temperatures checked before we went in

A week apart Smileit all feels pretty odd today. We have so wanted this for years and now we can't quite believe it's happening

Twins2girls · 16/04/2020 13:14

@confused107 that’s such great news and glad hubby could go in. I hope our clinic lets us too.

PickleKid · 16/04/2020 21:01

Went to London for the scan and take more from the flat. Did not throw up despite being sick as a dog the day before. Today feel no symptoms at all despite being almost 9 weeks.

Everything looks good- moment, heartbeat, brain- although it has feet already and it's a bit soon to be more than just little buds there. My OH has size12s though. We both kind of want a girl but might need to re-evaluate if we are cursing her to the feet of his family!

Homerton was very empty and staff were in good spirits. The nurse there said she thinks it's all dying down. Her daughter is a nurse elsewhere and thinks the same. Hopefully they ease up and let IVF start again. It's been in the news a bit and maybe that helps the cause!

PickleKid · 16/04/2020 21:02

Also did not ask if OH could come. We just assumed no and I made him do packing. The other woman there had her mom though so maybe it's allowed again?

Pinktruffle · 16/04/2020 22:16

Glad to hear that everything is looking good @PickleKid!

Twins2girls · 16/04/2020 22:31

Great news @PickleKid

confused107 · 17/04/2020 16:59

That's super news @Pinktruffle

Pinktruffle · 18/04/2020 18:50

Some spotting again today argghhh.
Trying to reassure myself that everything was fine last time and not to worry.
Might see if I can book a private scan next week though....

Twins2girls · 18/04/2020 19:50

@pinktruffle thinking of you, that must be so worrying, definitely try and get a private scan. I’m sure it doesn’t make it easier but just remember it’s quite common to have some spotting x
