Anyone else with abc??

Is anyone else having, had or starting treatment with abc?? If everything goes to plan we should be starting our first cycle with them in February. And was wondering if anyone’s got any advice/ stories.

I was a little disappointed to start with, but has my DH pointed out at least we got something and it only takes one.

Hoping it won’t be long before they ring today. It’s the waiting and not knowing for me that makes this journey so hard xx

@needtotalkivf19 I had 8 eggs and we ended with 4 blasts, one transferred and 3 frozen, 7 is plenty!

Scan is in 2.5 weeks now, just planning the next couple of weekends trying to get time to pass more quickly!

Good morning. @FlapJackered Thankyou for your message, Im 7pt today but i think out, the waiting has been driving me crazy and I caved in today and tested this morning and got a negative, and from what I’ve seen most people get a faint positive by now. We did end up with two in the freezer which was a bonus.
How are you getting on?? When is your next scan?? Xx

@Needtotalkivf19 it's a really tough wait. Did you test with a frer? 7dpt is still early so hope is not lost. Is your blood test at 9dpt?
I am good thanks, midwife appointment is next Monday and I think they will book me in for the 12 week scan then. 😬

@Needtotalkivf19 sorry for my delayed response ! I am at Wimbledon !
I am currently in the middle of ivf just had my third scan today.. egg collection might the by the end of this week so let’s hope for the best .. how did you get on with your last cycle then ?

Hi @NeedToTalkIVF not currently (our first fresh cycle with ABC resulted in the baby girl currently nestled in my arms) I found the ivf threads for the months you are having ivf the best place (ie. ivf jan/feb) good luck xx

I just wanted to ask as I’m currently in panic mode, start injections tomorrow eve and beyond scared lol, what was your medication if you don’t mind me asking, we are also doing a fresh cycle xxx

Wimbledon but then I ended up having my egg collection and transfer at St Paul’s because my collection fell in a Sunday when the Wimbledon clinic was shut.

There was bemfola and cetrotide but I can’t remember my dosages now. They’re absolutely fine, just set a reminder in your phone or something to make sure you do them at the same time everyday! Ask the clinic every question you have, no matter how silly or stupid you think it is, and take notes because you’ll get home and forget what they said!!

I also had acupuncture a couple of days before and a couple of days after my transfer. I’m a bit sceptical about acupuncture but for the sake of an extra £100 I thought it could do no harm! And I got pregnant so who knows!

Are you planning on putting any extra embryos in the freezer? We’ve got 3 in waiting if and when we decide to go again! Xx

Yes that’s what I’m on too the bemfola and cetrotide, did you feel any different after your first dose? And how many days after did you have your et, yes I’ll definitely be taking notes brains all jumbled at the moment, also did you do all the normal things when having injections like walks etc, in a big Walker and worry I might get cramps etc if I’m doing too much walking.

also what kinds of foods was you eating etc. Did you also have your progesterone levels checked day of et? I’ve heard allot about asking to have it checked, Sorry for all the questions I just don’t want to mess it up and want this to work 😩,
Yes we plan on freezing some if we get enough, did you do it for a year or two? xxx

I don’t think I felt much at all whilst I was stimming, although my husband would probably say I was hormonal!

I’m not sure now how many days it was before EC, they’ll scan every few days and choose a day, mine was pushed backwards which is why it ended up being a Sunday and why I went to St. Paul’s.

I had to stop exercising, netball/ TRX, walking was ok but you might feel after a week that you are a bit uncomfortable and don’t want to walk far.

• drink lots of water, the drugs that put our ovaries onto overdrive can make you constipated.
• drink a glass of organic full fat milk every day from now on.
• take co-enzyme q10. Its one of the building blocks for the cells in your eggs so you want a good supply of it in your body because you'll be making lots of eggs.

I don’t think they did a progesterone test, I just went with what they advised because they’re the experts!

Ours are in for two years to start with but we’ll likely extend that 😊
