Anyone else with abc??

Is anyone else having, had or starting treatment with abc?? If everything goes to plan we should be starting our first cycle with them in February. And was wondering if anyone’s got any advice/ stories.

Sorry i haven’t reply for a few days, that’s great news @DobbieFreeElf fingers crossed they keep growing and you have some To freeze aswell.
Ive been trying to keep my mind off ivf the last couple of days as I’m getting so worried, feel like I’m going to come on my period this week and not get me meds till Friday, just hoping it hold off till I get them otherwise it will be a another long month of waiting.
@Dot457 How are you doing?? Has your period shown up yet??
@HavelockVetinari at my first appointment they decided I fitted in they criteria they and then and asked us when we wanted to start, we said February (it was the beginning of January) and they arrange the next appointment two weeks before then, that was last week. I get my medication on Friday ready to start when my period comes which should be next week.

Don’t worry @needtotalkIVF19 remember, it’s the evening of CD2 you start injecting and CD1 is if your period starts before midday, so unless you came on this morning meds arriving Friday is fine!

(As long as they gave you the same info as me!)

My period started in the evening on a weds and my first bemfola was 7pm Friday

I had my first appointment only a couple of days before my expected period and they said to call fertility2u to chase up drugs but they arrived really quickly x

I’m so glad you’ve just said that, has I’ve just said something along them lines to my partner that of it comes tonight just means we will be starting the drugs the day we get them, which I’m thinking may be better lol, has I’m so impatient. God knows what I’m going to be like if I do get pregnant. I’ll have months of waiting and worrying ahead. Xx

It’s in, went smoothly and they said it was a text book transfer, but I am feeling a little deflated as it was a 3bc blastocyst... doesn’t sound great to me but it’s what we had... we’ve got 1 in the freezer from today and 5 still going which they’ll let me know about tomorrow

I’m getting nervous now started my period last night so it day 1 today start my injection tomorrow and got scan Wednesday.
Seem like I’m been waiting for ages and now it’s here I’m so scared xx

@Needtotalkivf19 I was full of nervous anticipation right until I started the injections, then it was just a case for taking each hurdle as it came!

Just had a call, 2 more have made it to freeze (a 5AA and a 5CB), so we have 3 in the freezer. I’d have felt better if I’d had those two yesterday but at least I know they’re on ice if needed!

Sorry I forgot to answer the question, blood test should be booked for Monday 17th...

That’s great news, I know what you mean about wishing you had them yesterday but at least they there waiting in case you need them. we decided we won’t be freezing any, if we have any to freeze that is. Has we want to use a clinic closer if we have to go thought it again, it’s so much extra stress all the travelling and probably wouldn’t have cost much more at our local clinic, when we add traveling and accommodation to the bill.

@Needtotalkivf19 true but the FET is much quicker, cheaper and less involved than a full cycle. There’s no need to go through an entire IVF cycle again and the success rates are comparative. Seemed like a no brainier to me!

@DobbieFreeElf that is such great news that you have such good quality embryos in the freezer! Now for the tww, I noticed you joined the tww thread - it is definitely a good one for getting through those two weeks! Fingers crossed for you!

@FlapJackered hope your well and to having too many first trimester symptoms, how much longer have you got till your scan.
@DobbieFreeElf how are you getting on, hope your finding lots of nice things to do with your time to take your mind off the wait.
I went for my day 5 scan today they seem pretty happy, I’m just worried has had a few a lot bigger, how did everyone else get on at they first scan, I may just be worrying over nothing. I Start my cetrotide tonight now and I’m not looking forward to that lol xx

@Needtotalkivf19 well done on the injections! Cetrotide is a bit of trickier one isn't it. At least there aren't as many!
Not much in the way of symptoms at the moment, except for constantly worrying about miscarriage. 🙈 I wish I could turn my brain off sometimes!!

@Needtotalkivf19 scan is on 21st Feb so just over a week to go, it's going very slowly 😬

@FlapJackered Thankyou yes the cetrotide a little more tricky and scary lol but we did it, my partner has been doing them for me (he wanted to so he feels more involved and I didn’t argue has I find it easier that way).
I know what you mean about turning your brain off, I’m an over thinker and when I’ve thought of even outcome for everything thing it starts all over again. Hopefully the next week goes quick for you, it will all be worth it when you see and hear that heartbeat xx

@Needtotalkivf19 I'm pretty miserable at the moment, I feel an impending sense of doom, hopefully it's just the progesterone and the anxiety will pass. Still have a while to wait to see if this has worked or not.

I just checked my notes, I didn't get told the sizes of the follicles on the CD5 scan, just that there were 12 on one side and 6 on the other. At my CD7 scan I did get some numbers of the larger ones: 17, 16, 15, 15, 14, 14, 13 and 13. I ended up with 8 eggs at collection so I guess it was one from each of these!

Sorry to everyone I've not replied to. I sort of needed to stay away from it for a while as I've still not come on my period! My injections have now been sat in the fridge for over 3 weeks :( I was due on my period two weeks ago, getting my self so stressed out!! @Needtotalkivf19 - I'm glad you thought the injections weren't as bad as what you thought! I really hope everything goes ok with you all. I'll be keeping on the thread to check how you are all going with it xxxx

Hiya @Dot457, any sign? Can/ will they induce the bleed? 3 weeks is a bummer of a wait. I’ve seen people talk about medicating to have their period, not that I’ve had experience...

Hello @DobbieFreeElf - thanks for your reply. Yeah I think I need to do something like that if I'm honest! I'm getting my self in a bit of a rut, coming home from work, coking/eating tea, watching TV and going to bed. I dont think I have a healthy routine so I need to sort that out asap. I just get so down in my self that I just watch TV to take my mind off everything. They said they would only induce it if it got to two months late so I've got a while to wait before all that xx

Hope your all well, I had my egg collection today wasn’t has bad as I thought it would be was asleep from start till finish, we got 7 eggs so fingers crossed some make it xx

@Needtotalkivf19 7 is a great number!! You must be really happy with that. I will keep my fingers crossed for lots of embryos from that. 🤞
