I'm glad it's not just me @Sylva123 I thought my pelvic floor was failing me 🤣🤣🤣🤣

So I'll try it next time and just hope for the best and wash the cushion after haha x

OneStepSideways · 05/01/2020 10:37

Is this is Clomid thread? I’m on Day 2 of taking it (50mg) no side effects yet.

I have one child conceived naturally (despite stage 4 endometriosis) but this time we’ve been trying 6 months with no luck, hence the Clomid!

Loziliz75 · 05/01/2020 12:10

Welcome @OneStepSideways, yep it’s the thread for clomid! Xx

JadeS174 · 05/01/2020 17:27

@OneStepSideways welcome to the group.
I'm on my second cycle of Clomid. Have my follicle tracking scan tomorrow so hopefully all is okay! 🤞🏼
Good luck on your Clomid journey.

Hope you girls are all good? I felt shit at the start of the year- really down but have picked myself back up and am being positive! Hope this is my month! And everyone else's! Xxx

dragonfly1978 · 05/01/2020 19:46

@OneStepSideways welcome! This is my second month on 50mg, fingers crossed for all of us this month.

dragonfly1978 · 05/01/2020 19:47

Had anyone else had any mild spotting early to mid cycle?

Loziliz75 · 05/01/2020 21:15

Hey ladies, these opks are messing with my head! Can someone help a girl out...
so I took a test yesterday and had a faint line which I know means negative but there was a line there, todays test showed nothing not even a faint line?!
Am I just freaking out about nothing, has this happened to any of you guys and after that got a positive?
Thanks!!

Carleyxo · 05/01/2020 22:15

I'm sure I did last month @Loziliz75
I think it depends what time of the day and when you last went to wee as maybe the hormone wasn't detected the second time?

OneStepSideways · 06/01/2020 08:40

Thanks for the welcome ladies ❤️
Good luck to everyone this month!

Does anyone have mooncup issues on Clomid? I’m on my period and usually my mooncup causes no pain, but I put it in this morning and have a lot of pelvic pain!

Loziliz75 · 06/01/2020 09:02

@Carleyxo I do them morning and evening one day had a faint line, yesterday no line and then today was a faint line again. I’m just so worried it won’t work when I saw a line then didn’t I freaked out! It’s settled me a little bit seeing a faint line again today and I’m not even due to ovulate yet 🙈🤦🏽‍♀️ This process messes with my head!

@onestepsideways, I don’t use moon cup so I can’t help with that one sorry xxx

Carleyxo · 06/01/2020 09:51

I didn't even realise after years that a faint line counted as anything until the other day 🤣 does the faint mean it's starting to detect something? @Loziliz75

LaurenN23 · 06/01/2020 10:03

@Carleyxo I had the same last month, I'd go 3 days with absolutely no second line and then a day or 2 with a faint line and it would go like that in a cycle and then bam, all of a sudden I'd get a positive! It's mad how much it varies - don't worry about it though it's normal :)

Bit of a rant/moan guys sorry...
I've been really struggling lately, I cry most days now and I'm not interested in anything like I used to be. This journey has worn me down and I don't feel like me anymore. I have booked an appt at the doctors to hopefully talk to someone :( The care I receive at the hospital is pretty poor, I had a scan and bloods on my first round of Clomid but now I'm left to my own devices. I feel completely hopeless, like this is never going to work! I've read the other posts on the Infertility section recently and saw the amount people spend on IVF (circa £30k!!) and how they all say it's more likely not to work than it is to work. I try not to read them but I get sucked in! Sorry to be so depressive, just wanted to get it out in the open! Hope you are all okay, sending love xx

Loziliz75 · 06/01/2020 10:14

@laurenN23 I have also felt very low and cry quite a bit (my grandads also very poorly so it’s a combination of the two) so I too have booked a Drs app to speak to someone. I haven’t even had a scan they don’t offer it me in my area so I feel completely lost too. If you are worried about been too depressive on here you can message me on other avenues if you want I’m happy to talk to someone who is feeling the same way at the minute!! I’m hoping reflexology will help on the 16th. If I had lots of money I would book in to more regular therapy but I can’t at the minute.

@Carleyxo it’s a negative even a faint line but in my head it might have been a sign ovulation was on its way, I did a digital one today too and got a negative. I’m so paranoid I’ll miss the fertile window and seen as it’s my 3rd cycle of clomid and chances decrease after 3 I’m even more paranoid. Xxx

AmySantiago83 · 06/01/2020 10:44

Hi @LaurenN23 - I'm having counselling to help with everything that's going on, but I'm still very up and down and cry at the drop off a hat sometimes. It's good that you've taken the first step and are going to the doctors. In my area (Kent), it took a few months before I could see anyone, but hopefully it will be quicker for you.

AF eventually turned up yesterday, on to round 2, now 100mg...

Carleyxo · 06/01/2020 10:51

I see @Loziliz75 makes sense. @LaurenN23 sorry to hear you're both feeling so low. I to only had a scan and bloods on cycle one and then when they prescribed me three more rounds I had the same again - scan and bloods only on first cycle. I'm now on Letrozole, is that offered in your areas? X

LaurenN23 · 06/01/2020 11:03

@loziliz75 @AmySantiago83 thank you ❤️ it's good to hear others are feeling the same. Hopefully don't have to wait too long but I desperately need to talk to someone, I think I've known I've been depressed for a while but tried to push it to the back of my mind. I don't remember the last time I was happy for longer than 3/4 hours in a row!!

@Carleyxo thank you 💕 letrozole isn't offered no :/ if clomid doesn't work, IVF is the next step!!

Loziliz75 · 06/01/2020 11:17

@Carleyxo they haven’t mentioned that option I’m going to ask consultant when I see him in February, I got the option clomid or IVF.

Good Luck on your second cycle @AmySantiago83!!

Xxx

Carleyxo · 06/01/2020 14:12

What area are you both in? @Loziliz75 @LaurenN23
X

Loziliz75 · 06/01/2020 14:26

I’m in South Yorkshire @Carleyxo xxx

LaurenN23 · 06/01/2020 14:57

@Carleyxo I'm in the West Midlands, what about you?

Carleyxo · 06/01/2020 15:23

I'm Southampton but I'm also talking to another couple of ladies who are further up who had been given the option for Letrozole after clomid. It's bizarre how it all differs x

Sylva123 · 06/01/2020 16:01

@LaurenN23 I did the exact same thing as you reading that thread about how much IVF costs and it set me off a bit too. It's an overwhelming amount of money and is added pressure on wanting these meds to work, to avoid all that. I keep finding myself in low spells too & have also decided to get some counseling. I had a bereavement a couple months back too, so it's all jumbled up.
I just wanted to say you're not alone. This is hard and your reaction to it is normal - you're going through something really challenging, and it's normal to feel upset by the unfairness of it all. Add in the hormones on top of that and no wonder it gets us down. We're adjusting to life not being exactly as we'd imagined it to be - and we're scared of a potentially long road ahead. There's a lot of uncertainty - we don't know if this whole fertility thing will work itself out this month, or if there's going to be more tests & more trying. We'd be robots if we took all that in our stride.

I hope speaking to your doctor helps. I think there's a helpline if you Google Fertility Network. I haven't tried it but might be worth a go. I think they do in-person meet ups as well, in some areas.

On my good days I try to focus on the fact that people do get pregnant all the time and try to hold onto the idea that it could happen to us too. Sending love through the internet x

LaurenN23 · 06/01/2020 19:37

@Sylva123 that was so lovely to read 💕 so reassuring!! It's good to hear I'm not the only one.

We're booking an appt with a private clinic tomorrow, just to have a chat and discuss if there's anything else we can be doing and if I went private after clomid can they offer letrozole etc. My consultant at the hospital doesn't seem to care at all about us, just sees us as a number and I feel stressed knowing we're not in the best hands! I'm positive we will all get there in the end, it's just when is the question! Sending love and hugs too! Xx

LaurenN23 · 06/01/2020 19:38

@Sylva123 also I'm really sorry for your loss - lots of love 💕

JadeS174 · 06/01/2020 19:42

So after saying yesterday I had been feeling down but was going to be positive; I had my follicle tracking scan today and the results weren't good 😢 endometrial lining was 3.9mm and no follicles on either ovaries. So disappointed. The fertility nurse said it may be too early if I have a longer cycle or it hasn't worked this month. Have to have a day 21/28 progesterone blood test to see and if no ovulation they will increase my dose to 100mg.

I can see from all your posts we are all feeling the same, this is a very emotionally draining process. Back to feeling like shit.
