It's the other way around @dragonfly1978 flashing smiley comes first then solid smiley indicates ovulation is probs happening in the next 36 hours.
I think sometimes the clomid can give a false positive if it's not totally out of your system, so it could be that it's a bit close to taking your tablets xx

Some ovulation confusion over here as well... I am on cd13. I always have lines on my opk and flashing smiley by now, but this month there's nothing. My first month on letrozole so maybe I'm ovulating late? Also keep forgetting to use FMU, so could be that?? Slightly worried that I've stopped ovulating for some reason

@dragonfly1978 I would dtd if you've got the solid smiley and the CM. Who knows what our weird bodies are doing

Hi everyone, I've read all the posts from 2019 and it was encouraging to see some success stories on Clomid.

I took my first lot of Clomid at the beginning of December and my period was due yesterday. Last Friday, I had a bit of fresh blood when I wiped once, but nothing more. I did a test yesterday and it was a BFN. I had my day 21 bloods done last Fri too and got the results today to say I hadn't ovulated (didn't think to ask what the actual result was though).

My back is aching like normal period pains (for me) but there is absolutely no hint of AF. Do you think last Fri could have been a very light early period due to the Clomid? Or can periods be later on Clomid? I usually have a regular 27 day cycle (I still have regular periods even though they say I'm not ovulating - no history of PCOS)

@dragonfly1978 I would go with the mindset your ovulating and dtd if I had a solid smiley I’d be jumping on my OH for next few days just in case 😂😂

@amysantiago83 it doesn’t sound like a period if you just wiped once and nothing else after that but I’m no expert 🤷🏽‍♀️ If it’s your first time on clomid then it could have affected your cycle to a different pattern. Xx

Yeah @AmySantiago83 I don't know if it's your period or not but sounds like the clomid has made your cycle a bit wonky. Will they up the dose next month to see if you ovulate? Hope AF comes soon so you can try again. I think clomid could potentially make your cycles later cos it increases your progesterone (I think) which means the corpus luteum breaks down a bit later if the levels are higher? (That's probably really bad science, but when my progesterone is higher my cycles tend to be longer). My cycle was longer on clomid but I was also taking progesterone so I'm not 100% sure. Sorry that's a rubbish reply but didn't want to read & run.

Thank you both @Loziliz75 @Sylva123 I hope AF arrives soon so I can get started on round 2, they said to double the dose to 100mg and have another day 21 blood test.

@AmySantiago83 hi, my first cycle was much longer than normal last month and others have said that as well so it may just be a longer cycle? Hope your AF comes soon so you can try again!

@Sylva123 @Loziliz75 thanks both. Just told OH who was surprised as I had told him it would be mid to end of next week! Will try and dtd tonight. Took a cheap OPK this afternoon and the line was practically as dark as the control so who knows but can't risk missing ovulation.

I have a mild stabbing pain really low down on the left hand side of my pelvis, do you think that could be ovulation pain?? It's really quite uncomfortable and has been there all day.

@dragonfly1978 it sounds like it could be ovulation pain and the opk sounds like it's pretty much there as well!

@dragonfly1978 does sound like ovulation pain and it ties in with your OPK’s too, no don’t run the risk of missing it, you would kick yourself! Hope you can dtd tonight.

Those that use pre seed how much do you tend to use at one time? Also just out of interest how long do you wait after sex before going to the toilet?

@Carleyxo I use conceive plus which is pretty much the same thing! I inject in 2ml before sex and then around 1ml not injected during sex. I then put a pillow under my hips for around half an hour after sex before going to the loo. I always wondered if 30 mins was enough so will be interesting to hear what others say. I can't leave it in overnight using a cup as I use an ovusense! Only so many things you can shove up there haha 😂

It depends on my shifts sometimes he’s days and I’m nights so i don’t get the time to hold it for long although I try to hold it for at least 30 mins before doing the come run 🤣🙈 but I have bought the cup and that says it can stay up for up to an hour, so this cycle I’m giving that a go see how it works out 😂😂 I’ve only just bought pre seed too so I haven’t Used it as yet so can’t help on that note. Xxx

@Carleyxo I try and wait at least an hour before going to the toilet and sometimes manage and sometimes don't! Last night I made it all night until this morning!!

I just can't stand the feeling of it starting to leak out 😬😳 do you put tissue or anything there? I usually wee straight away but I suffer with bad water infections so my doctors told me always to wee after sex. Oh it's so hard 😂 x

@Carleyxo I get water infections too so I tend to wait 20 or 30 mins with a cushion under my bum and then go... But I'm not exactly a success story! I have read conflicting things. Some say you can go to the loo straight after cos the sperm will have already gone where it needs to go, others say you should lie there for 20 mins. Who knows!

Doesn't all of this make you wonder how people accidentally get pregnant?! 😂🙃 makes me so frustrated to think we're doing literally everything and someone has just had a shag in a club toilet, used the pull out method and got knocked up!

I'm CD8 now so just waiting for O day- wasnt until CD16 last month so could be a while yet! Going to start dtd EOD from tomorrow I think -I just cant be bothered tonight haha.

@loziliz75 I hear you... I used to work in a drug treatment centre with pregnant women trying to give up drugs to keep their kids. Saw so many women get their kids taken away from them through drug & alcohol use. Really heartbreaking. Now here I am desperately wanting to get pregnant by living this mad healthy lifestyle with vitamins and seeds and all the spinach & pineapple in the world, wondering how on earth some women manage to fall pregnant whilst smoking crack and not eating for 3 days... It's a weird life isn't it

@LottieDot I’m CD8 too!! I did a cheap opk today and had the faintest line on which I know is a negative but last cycle I didn’t even have a faint line at all!! So I’m hoping that’s a good sign 🤞🏼👏🏼 Xxxx
