As it says on the title really! Wondering if anyone else twiddling their thumbs and wanted to keep each other company?
Me- 40, was TTC for 4 years (unexplained infertility)- short protocol in 2018- fresh transfer resulted in an ectopic pregnancy followed by a successful FET later in the year. We have 8 frosties which we hope to use in another FET starting Feb/March 2020. First consultation next month. Feels so daunting to be starting the process again! X

Thx ladies so yesterday I ended up not doing much, ate sushi and some crisps!! Along with my healthy food. I was quite tired because we spent Friday/Saturday night at the emergency room with DS with croup.
Transfer this AM just after 10am, transferred one day 5 hatching AA blastocyst. We have one more hatching AA to freeze and one BB. On day 3 we actually had 12 good day 3 embies but the attrition rate was high; I honestly don’t really care because now we have 3 great day 5 ones. They gave me pics of the embies and I burst out in ugly-cry sobs! Sat up immediately after transfer, emptied bladder, got progesterone shot, now at a villiage mall having burgers and playing with DS.

@BOBSS looking forward to your results, good luck hun!

Minster2012 · 16/02/2020 09:51

Wow that’s great @Mischali congrats on the fab embies and hope that one snuggles in xxx

Rubyredwren · 16/02/2020 10:41

Well done Mischali! You must be so pleased with the quality of the embryos. Hoping for good results for you xx

Mischali · 16/02/2020 11:32

Thanks, can’t wait for the thread’s testing to begin :)

Minster2012 · 16/02/2020 11:45

@Mischali do you want to join the TWW thread too?

Mischali · 16/02/2020 14:51

@Minster2012 yes please 😬😁

Minster2012 · 16/02/2020 15:34

I’ve tagged you @Mischali so you should see xx

Mischali · 17/02/2020 07:49

@BOBSS thinking of you x

Tryin4no2 · 17/02/2020 09:01

Really hoping you got good news yesterday @BOBSS.

My nurse told me not to symptom spot during the 2WW - but I can’t help but feel very unpregnant at the moment and fearing the worst. When pregnant with my DD I knew I was pregnant, I feel totally calm and happy, had no pre period acne or greasy hair and now I feel the opposite. Anyone have any similar experiences previously with this? X

Tryin4no2 · 17/02/2020 09:18

Sorry that was meant to say I felt totally calm.... definitely not the case now....

BOBSS · 17/02/2020 09:41

It's negative 😔

Minster2012 · 17/02/2020 09:48

So sorry to hear your news @BOBSS, we put all our hopes and dreams into it, sending big hugs your way xxx

@Tryin4no2 I also don’t feel pregnant in anyway, so feel pretty negative about it, but my friend who carried our DS for us from FET the first time said she first absolutely nothing & it was positive and she’d had 2 completely normal pregnancies before where she’s felt things. I think it’s the drugs they can totally mess things up and affect ppl so differently. There are ppl on the TWW thread who felt things & ppl who didn’t who got BFPs so we shouldn’t give up hope but obviously we want to symptom spot. I’ve never been pregnant so no idea!! 😂

Tryin4no2 · 17/02/2020 09:50

So so sorry to hear that @BOBBS. 😔 It’s so hard to go through. Maybe they could do something differently next time. I’m sure you will want to take time to plan next steps. Be kind to yourself. Thinking of you and sending you hugs xxx

Tryin4no2 · 17/02/2020 09:52

Thanks @Minster2012 - really appreciate the reply it’s so hard not to symptom spot and over analyse it - I think I am sending myself crazy. Wishing you symptoms too!! Xxx

BeHereNowx32 · 17/02/2020 13:56

@BOBSS so sorry 😞 xx

AM2020 · 17/02/2020 14:35

@BOBSS

Sorry about your news. I was in the same situation last Monday. I had all sorts of simptoms, I was trying to analyse everything. Mixed feelings, lots of hope. Very hard to deal with it.

One week later, scared but ready to try again.

Give yourself time to process, and when you are ready try again.

CritterTamer · 17/02/2020 15:20

@BOBSS I'm so sorry to read this. IVF is so all consuming that is devastating when it doesn't work out - I hope you have a plan for moving forward as this will help you to focus on something other than the disappointment. Take care of yourself xxx

Mischali · 17/02/2020 15:20

@BOBSS so sorry to hear your news. Lots and lots of warm hugs hun :’(
@Tryin4no2 and @Minster2012 with my first pregnancy I felt nothing. Until the baby started kicking. This time around I’m feeling everything. Even before ET. So it’s probably the two different hormone protocols, if I had to guess?

Rubyredwren · 18/02/2020 06:41

@BOBSS sorry to hear about your test results. Sending lots of happy thoughts your way. ❤️

@Tryin4no2 @Mischali @Minster2012 how are you going with the 2WW?

It’s so hard not to symptom check. I have very greasy hair, bad acne and slight cramps that feel like AF is on the way. I’m trying to keep away from Google and not overthink things!

Minster2012 · 18/02/2020 07:06

@Rubyredwren I’ve been ok up til now but it’s now tomorrow I’m waiting for and today will be very long I fear and DS playing up already so gonna be hard!!

Tryin4no2 · 18/02/2020 07:12

Hi @Rubyredwren, I started spotting yesterday - it’s not red but for me that has always meant I am not pregnant (I didn’t get any spotting with my DD) so along with feeling totally irritable, slight cramps and not being able to sleep I fear AF is on her way too now....

HopingForAMiracle1 · 18/02/2020 07:13

Can I join please?

I'm 26 and after years of repeated miscarriages I've decided to go for IVF with PGD. I've been fortunate that as I'm already seen by a generic counsellor I've been told that we will be approved for NHS funding due to my condition (I'm a carrier of a genetic condition which could be passed onto baby). It's possible for me to have a natural pregnancy but after 10+ miscarriages that's hard to believe and frankly I've had enough now. Mentally it's been torture and I can't do it anymore without seriously damaging my mental health (more than I already have!).

So here I am, waiting now! 4 months is what I can expect to wait apparently (for the initial consultation anyway).

Tryin4no2 · 18/02/2020 07:15

@Minster2012 - good luck with the waiting - it does seem to get harder the closer to the test doesn’t it... will be thinking good luck thoughts for you!

Tryin4no2 · 18/02/2020 07:17

Hi @HopingForAMiracle1, welcome! Sorry to hear your journey has been so tough. Fingers crossed this is what does it for you xxxx

HopingForAMiracle1 · 18/02/2020 07:32

Thank you. I'm sorry if there's a lot of this already in the thread but quite a lot of you seem to be a lot further ahead in the journey so can I ask, what did you do to prepare?

I'm planning to eat better and start running. I've also heard acupuncture suggested.

Is there anything else you did to get yourself ready?
