Yes like @Beth804 said if you're only day 13 I would expect to get a static by Thursday ish? Give or take a couple of days. How long does the static stay for?

That's so bizarre literally like me, how good were the doctors with you? How long were you trying before they referred you? X

CharlotteCx · 03/12/2019 11:07

I clearly am gearing up to ovulate aren't I if it's flashing. And Iv ovulated every month on Clomid, could it just stop working and I won't ovulate this month? I'm worrying now lol. Once you get your static it stays on the stick for 48 hours so you can't test again. Cause I suppose once you've got your static there's no point in testing again.

Are you talking to me regarding how long the drs took to refer me?x

CharlotteCx · 03/12/2019 11:08

@Beth804 yeah I'm aware it can vary. It has for me on my 1st and 2nd month .. x

carleygh · 03/12/2019 12:34

No sorry I was asking Beth about the referral but how about you too?

You will ovulate don't worry it definitely shouldn't just not work but I think it's too early to detect for you, don't panic honestly give it to Thursday xx

CharlotteCx · 03/12/2019 12:49

Oh okay haha! @carleygh erm it didn't take them long to refer me for scans etc to get a diagnosis. It took them a year to put me on Clomid though as they wanted me to try Metformin first. So now I take metformin & Clomid.

Yeah I think I'm just panicking - I am not going to dtd until Thursday now as we've done it plenty and I feel like OH needs time to reload lol x

carleygh · 03/12/2019 14:05

Oh really! What's metformin? Yes exactly wait till Thursday :-) what would you be due to ovulate according to Flo? X

CharlotteCx · 03/12/2019 14:48

Metformin is something that women with pcos get prescribed with because it helps lower insulin levels and when you have pcos you have higher levels of insulin. It works to regulate your cycles which it done for me it really helped.

Both ovia and flo say ovulation is due tomorrow! X

Beth804 · 03/12/2019 17:39

@carleygh I had my first blood tests in February, saw consultant in April then had ultrasound, HSG and hubbys SA before seeing consultant again in August, that's when clomid was prescribed.

They've been pretty good really, if a bit slow! Going back this month. Hopefully the clomid is working now, will find out at my blood test next week, so think I'll probs just be told to crack on until I e done 6 cycles. Then we'll see! Hopefully I'll have caught by then.

Been actively trying about 18 months now, but not been using protection for about 3 years, since my DD was born. It's secondary infertility, so at least I know everything CAN work, it's just choosing not to! My daughter was a total miracle baby!!! 😍

Chichz · 03/12/2019 17:50

Wooo this thread's filling up - we'll need V5 soon! Grin

No news to add my end re. Clomid. We will see what happens in a couple more weeks.

I'm focussing more on the next steps now - just over 2 months til our IVF consultation and apparently we're going straight through to the consultant, no messing around. So relieved! x

carleygh · 03/12/2019 18:20

Fingers crossed for you but its imminent thats for sure @CharlotteCx

@Beth804 oh my goodness yes a little miracle 😍 you sound exactly the same as me fingers crossed for you and for it working! Have you had any scans? In both mine I had big eggs on each do they said high chance of twins 🥰😀

So glad for you @Chichz there's nothing worse than waiting so at least you're straight through x

Beth804 · 03/12/2019 19:15

@Chichz Ah, that's good - at least when you've a date to actually see son then you have a plan!

@carleygh I know! No, no scans - I'd like to know what's going on in there though! Might ask when I see consultant in acknowledging of weeks. Appointment will be day af is due! So will at least know one way or another!

Beth804 · 03/12/2019 19:17

@carleygh Crazy we're so similar! And v exciting about potential twins 😍 will it be your 1st?

Chichz · 03/12/2019 19:31

Thanks ladies. Smile

carleygh · 03/12/2019 19:38

It will indeed @Beth804 the twin chance was on Clomid so hopefully that will be the same whatever they put me on next haha. I find it fascinating that they don't do scans for you? I was told it was important incase of hyperstimulation. When is your appointment? I have my review on Monday x

Beth804 · 03/12/2019 21:09

@carleygh I know! Guess it's the postcode lottery again! Appointment is 2 weeks today - ooh Monday's not long! Hope they come up with a good plan for you, you thinking injectables?

carleygh · 03/12/2019 21:21

I have no idea I'm just going on our last review. So I had three months worth then we had a review and she was shocked to see us again and said oh ok I'll give you another three months worth and I asked what would happen next if Clomid didn't work again and she said injections before IVF so who knows 🤷🏽‍♀️ @Beth804 x

JadeS174 · 03/12/2019 23:08

Hi all. I’ve been trying to conceive for just over 1 year with no children yet. I have endometriosis and latest bloods showed anovulation :(
I’m on CD14 of my first cycle of Clomid! I don't feel I've experienced much side effects from it so wondering if it's even worked? I have my follicle tracking scan tomorrow so all will be revealed!
Wishing you all the luck in the world ladies Smile

dragonfly1978 · 04/12/2019 07:10

@JadeS174 I am on my first cycle as well and didn't have any side effects at all until today, CD10. I am wondering the same thing, has it worked? I don't have any monitoring, scans or bloods so won't know if it's worked or not Sad

dragonfly1978 · 04/12/2019 07:11

CD10 day, first cycle of Clomid and haven't had any side effects at all then today feel really dizzy and not quite right. Has anyone else experienced this?

carleygh · 04/12/2019 07:27

Hi @JadeS174 @dragonfly1978
I never seem to experience side effects for anything - ovulation, minimum period effects, no moodiness and nothing changed when on Clomid to do it just goes to show everyone is different.

The only thing I had was a few hot flushes during the night when I felt really hot and one month I felt super bloated and a bit sick but that's it.

Good luck for you both and Jade let us know how your scan goes :-)

BonTon · 04/12/2019 08:01

@dragonfly1978 @JadeS174 I’m the same - no real side effects other than a bit sweaty during the night 🤢 although now you mention it @dragonfly1978 I think I did experience some dizziness on the first round but not the other two so could have been unrelated, best of luck x

CharlotteCx · 04/12/2019 09:40

@carleygh still on a flashing smiley CD14 now! I'm quite glad it's still flashing today as I'm doing a sleep in at work tonight so wouldn't be able to dtd anyway - hoping for a static tomorrow 🤞🏻 do you think I could of missed my peak if I'm testing early morning and late evening?

carleygh · 04/12/2019 13:17

No I don't think so, didn't you say you usually ovulate day 16? As far as I'm aware it would only be static for the 24 hours you're ovulating? I could be wrong as I'm not familiar with the digi ones. It depends how often you're testing as last month I tested 8pm and it was negative and then I tested 6.30am and it was positive so it just depends doesn't it @CharlotteCx x

Loziliz75 · 04/12/2019 14:04

Hi, I hope this is ok to post,so I’ve been reading this and prev threads for a while but now feel ready to join! I feel everyone around me is getting pregnant and want to join the group so I don’t feel so alone!! I’m not sure about all the acronyms so please bear with me 🙈. I found out in 2016 I had endometriosis, I’ve been ttc for 19months an after investigations they found I wasn’t ovulating. I am now on the second cycle of Clomid. I’ve seen people do the ovulation tests but my consultant said not to? Has people done the tests despite been advised not to?
Thanks Lauren 🥰

JadeS174 · 04/12/2019 14:23

Hi all. So I had my scan this morning and all looked good. I had a 19.1mm dominant follicle on my right ovary and on the left a 11.3mm, a 7mm and a very tiny. So the nurse said she will anticipated I'll ovulate from the right in the next couple of days. Advised DTD every other day starting today. Really hoping this works!🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 xxxxx
