@carleygh noo first month ovulation was day 13 and second was day 15! I'm just panicking I'm not guna get the static. Feel very crampy down there today though. No EWCM as of yet. hopefully the static comes tomorrow x

Hi @Loziliz75 I was never advised not to do ovulation tests. I'm finding everyone gets advised to do different things! I find they help me but everyone is different. X

@Loliliz75 welcome to the group, I have only recently joined myself! My consultant told me the complete opposite to yours, she said I had to buy an OPK and must test twice a day from the end of my period until after ovulation as Clomid can make you ovulate early / late / when you least expect etc.

@dragonfly1978 can deffinatly vouch for that! The past two cycles of Clomid I've ovulated on different days & am still waiting for my static after 8 days of flashing and am currently on CD14! Ovulation comes when it likes on Clomid lol x

@CharlotteCx I'm on my first cycle. We started trying to conceive October 2018, I'd had been diagnosed with endometriosis and had a laparoscopy in December 2018, around August I had a follow up with my
Gynae consultant and she referred me to fertility consultant for tests as we hadn't fallen pregnant. Test showed I wasn't ovulation, husband SA was normal. So advised 6 rounds of Clomid and then IVF if not successful. Really hope this works, feeling positive that I'm on cycle 1 and it looks like it's working! Just need to release an egg that the sperm can meet 😝

@JadeS174 ah okay! It's good that they've given you 6 rounds. I have 7 rounds in total and I'm on my 3rd round now. Iv ovulated every month but I haven't fallen pregnant. I wish you all the luck hun 🥰 what cd you on Now?

@dragonfly1978 I thought they would give me a good guide as to if I’m come up to ovulation as it can be sporadic when you do ovulate so I don’t know whether to do them or actually listen to what the consultant said and don’t do them. I’ve got 6 cycles in total but don’t want to waste an opportunity each month too by not knowing when I’m ovulating. They have just given me 6 cycles and said I’ll see you in February 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m having blood tests done but don’t think consultant will look at results until February so I’m a bit in the dark really!

@loziliz75 my consultant also told me I had to do the ovulation tests, it's so frustrating when everyone gets different advice! You shouldn't take the ov tests is if they've given you the "trigger shot" injection because that messes the ovulation tests up and it just looks positive all the time. Otherwise I think the tests can help you pin point ovulation so you can time intercourse and also to know what date to take the 21 day bloods, as this isn't on day 21 for everyone! Only for those that ovulate on day 14. I know.... 🤯

@sylva123 I know I have even got told to go for my bloods on day 23 of each cycle?! 🤷🏽‍♀️

@Loziliz75 you go for bloods 6-8 days after your ovulation day as that's when progesterone peaks.

@loziliz75 that sounds like they think you ovulate on day 16 then? Sometimes they offer a scan after ovulation to check you have ovulated. I'm getting that on Friday (fingers crossed). If I were in your shoes I'd still do ovulation tests as it helps you feel like you're doing something. Not to disrespect the guidance of your consultant

I was advised not to but I think that's because she said you can become so fixated on it and it can cause worry and stress which really isn't good. She told me to just have regular sex and you will always capture it.
I however didn't listen and still do tests for my own piece of mind lol, do you have the app Flo?
With the blood tests you should be able to call them and find out the results (I called the clinic and they told me) I have two blood tests and two internal scans. Have you been given three rounds or six? I got given three then when they ended I had a review and she gave me another three.

@CharlotteCx cramps are good! Don't worry about the days to much it can change each month so hopefully tomorrow is your day!

@carleygh I just worry over everything tbh. I really get on my Oh's nerves cause he said once I stop worrying about one thing I move on to the next 🤣 yeah deffo crampy, no EWCM as of yet though. How are you today?

@carleygh and yes will do OPK in the morning when I get home from work as doing a sleep in tonight and forgot my sticks 🙈

That was a really good point from @carleygh about how all the ovulation tests can add stress and if you just do it every other day you'll catch it. There have been times where I've been losing my mind temping, peeing on sticks, writing it all down, staring at apps! Much better to relax over it I expect. I've been having reflexology since June. Still not pregnant but its been nice & relaxing

Yes I tried reflexology and acupuncture too @Sylva123 very relaxing but got too expensive for me and I also genuinely think I was only doing it to become pregnant and almost stressing over the factor which really didn't help. I understand i did it to help with pregnancy but I almost became to fixated on it only doing that it took the enjoyment out of it? I'm blabbering on now but I think what I'm trying to say is lots of things can help us along the way but the important thing is to not stress about it (easier said than done I know) the past two months I've chilled right out and I bloody wish I did it earlier as I'm sure that's why the Clomid didn't work for me 🙄🤷🏽‍♀️

I did do one tonight which I now know was ridiculous because of course it was going to show negative 😂😂😂 I'll try again Friday and then do one Sunday @CharlotteCx x

@carleygh yep I’ve got the Flo app, I might buy some for the next cycle then just as a guide for myself and not say anything to the consultant 😂 I’ve been given 6 cycles. I did try and ring the clinic and consultant secretary for the results but they said due to confidentiality they couldn’t tell me over the phone so I walked to the clinic and they’d Tull wouldn’t give me the results, which is rather frustrating!! 🤦🏽‍♀️ Where do you get your ovulation tests from?
@Sylva123 I don’t know how they have got that Information as my period cycles vary in length and never done ovulation tests, he literally give me the prescription and form for day 23 of each cycle and said I’ll see you in February 🤷🏽‍♀️

Agree with you @carleygh about the stress and opks. Look at me now I'm constantly stressing over them! Part of me wishes I don't rely on them. Maybe next month I LG I don't catch this month I should just dtd every other day with out testing and see where that gets me.

Talking about going from one worry to the next @CharlotteCx ...I did a wondfo ovulation test this morning and it was a strong positive again 🤷‍♀️ now I'm worrying Lh is trying to surge without ovulation 😕 Surely it should start getting lighter now to show I've ovulated??

@Beth804 what is a wondfo ovulation test? Is that just the brand?

On my first month on Clomid I had a peak ovulation test an IC on CD12 and a static the same evening, I'll attach photo of the peak test and then when it started to fade out on the Sunday the bottom was peak and middle and top was when it started to fade out.

When was you due to ovulate, you got your static yesterday didn't you?
