@Beth804 are you sure cos I'm totally panicking over here and keep ringing OH like hurry up!! But then that's putting pressure on things and I do not want that! ... yeah my OH morphology was on the lower side too at 3% so maybe it'll be better to leave him to fill up again and go again tomorrow onwards. I know mental isn't it! I'm just really hoping I don't ovulate earlier than Sunday really as I need a chance to dtd! I only come off AF Monday! 🙈

Some people say it's best to dtd every other day and some people say every day I'm so confused! Lol xx

carleygh · 28/11/2019 06:52

I've read every other day is best especially if the count is low as it allows chance to "refill" it stays there for five days anyway.

It's basically a steam for your down below similar to doing a face steam, you sit over a bowl of hot water and certain herbs/oils and the steam helps soften your cervix which allows more gentle contractions when you have periods and it also cleans it out too and removes any residual tissue as it detoxifies everything.

@Beth804 @CharlotteCx the weird and wonderful things I get up to 😂😂😂 x

Beth804 · 28/11/2019 08:00

OMG I got a flashing smiley today! Hopefully this might actually lead to ovulation! 🤞
The last time I ovulated was January 😬

BonTon · 28/11/2019 08:40

Great news!

carleygh · 28/11/2019 08:48

Oh my gosh yes @Beth804 that's amazing!!! Have you been using clear blue since January? X

CharlotteCx · 28/11/2019 08:58

@carleygh oh ok that sounds interesting! Iv never heard of that before! Yeah I heard that every other day is best when the count is on the lower side. OH count wasn't low it was 36 million out of 1ml but he still had a lower morph so there was a lower factor in his SA if you no what I mean... I just wana do it every day coz the more up there the better but then I'm thinking does he need time to fill up again! It's confusing me! I wana ask my gyno but every time I try and ring his sec she never ever answers! Useless x

CharlotteCx · 28/11/2019 08:58

@Beth804 omg that's amazing news! Woohoo! X

ComeTheFuck0nBridget · 28/11/2019 09:24

I'm on CD13 today and I just started bleeding. Went to the loo and there was blood, like a normal day of AF. WTF?? This means there's no chance for me this month now doesn't it. I'm devastated. Waiting for doctors to ring me back.

Has anyone else had this?

BonTon · 28/11/2019 09:31

That’s really odd @ComeTheFuck0nBridget. I haven’t had that, no. And you haven’t ovulated yet right? Sorry 😪. Hopefully it isn’t as terminal as you think

CharlotteCx · 28/11/2019 09:33

@ComeTheFuck0nBridget 😞 no I haven't had that, sorry to hear that x x

Beth804 · 28/11/2019 09:38

@ComeTheFuck0nBridget Ah, sorry to hear that, hope you get answers

@carleygh I used cb for a little while, but as I wasn't ovulating I stopped wasting my money and just got internet cheapies! Felt confident with my new dose of clomid to try again this month! 🤞

Goingbacktokansascity · 28/11/2019 13:57

@ComeTheFuck0nBridget sorry to hear that but hopefully not out some woman have mid cycle bleeding as those normal

Sylva123 · 28/11/2019 14:45

@CharlotteCx my consultant told me every other day as well. I usually ignore that advice thinking its best to do it every day, because the window is already so small. There's a "sperm meets egg plan" that lots of people talk about on here and I think it says do it every other day until positive opk then do three days in a row (or something like that).

@ComeTheFuck0nBridget that is so disappointing. I hope it's just a random bleed and not a period.

My lining has thickened up a bit & I've been given the shot thingy to make me ovulate. I feel excited to finally be doing something. How's everyone's experience of the shot been? HCG I think it's called? She's told me to have sex today, tmw and the next day.

CharlotteCx · 28/11/2019 15:14

@Sylva123 so confusing isn't it being told different things all the time as you don't know what's best and don't wana decrease you're chances! ... I'm still on a flashing smiley atm but going to dtd every night from tonight until after ov!

carleygh · 28/11/2019 15:25

@Sylva123 that sounds interesting I'm going to look into that. Are you on Clomid aswell as the shot?

@ComeTheFuck0nBridget that's so frustrating have they called you back xx

Sylva123 · 28/11/2019 15:37

@carleygh yes first round of Clomid (100mg) and for some reason she gave me the shot today (she hadnt mentioned it before, but I'm up for whatever might help!)

Sylva123 · 28/11/2019 15:37

I've also got cyclogest. All the drugs!

CharlotteCx · 28/11/2019 15:49

How comes you've had to have a trigger shot and Clomid? What does the trigger shot do?

carleygh · 28/11/2019 15:57

Definitely @Sylva123 what's your background? What area are you in? That always interests me as some areas do more than others x

CharlotteCx · 28/11/2019 16:23

@carleygh any sign of AF?! X

Sylva123 · 28/11/2019 16:35

@carleygh and @CharlotteCx weirdly I'm in Croydon, which is the only borough in the area that's cut IVF provision, so if this doesn't work then I'll need to self fund or move house! Although they've cut IVF, they do clomid and it seems they do the shots and progesterone too.
I don't know why she decided to do the trigger shot... I know that it helps the egg to mature and then release from the follicle. Ovulation will be any time over the next 36 hours. I think they usually use it to help with timed intercourse. But really I don't know why she gave it to me - she's always in such a rush, it's so difficult to ask her any questions. I'm going to research it a little this evening. Maybe she wanted to bring on ovulation because of the womb lining being slightly thinner than she'd like? Who knows!

carleygh · 28/11/2019 16:40

Yes well and truly @CharlotteCx it came when expected 😂😂😂 x

CharlotteCx · 28/11/2019 16:47

@Sylva123 omg have they? A lot of boroughs are getting rid of funded IVF aren't they! Ahh okay! Did the clomid make you ovulate without the trigger shot though? Cos if it did why did u need the trigger shot too? So annoying when they rush! My old gynae before the one I have now was like that and I never come out of my appointments feeling satisfied!

@carleygh bless you! Least you can now begin the next steps! X

BonTon · 28/11/2019 16:50

@Sylva123 I’ve had the shot on all three clomid cycles and again on the first cycle of the njections. I think it gives the follicle that one last spurt it needs to ovulate and they’ve always said to me it is 99.9% certain that I will ovulate within the next 24-36 hours once I’ve had it. They also said don’t test before 2 weeks time as the shot contains the pregnancy hormone so might get a false positive. I usually test a couple of days before then and I’ve never had a positive by that point..... yet 😂🤞🏻

Sorry @carleygh xx

Sylva123 · 28/11/2019 16:54

@CharlotteCx I don't know if I would have ovulated without the shot - it was my first time on clomid and I'm only on day 13, so I was expecting to ov on day 15.
It's hard to know if I was ovulating before Clomid - it looked like it (always had positive opks, temp spikes at the right time and we saw a big follicle about to rupture on a scan) BUT my progesterone results were always so low it was as if I hadn't ovulated. I have super short luteal phase (8 days). We don't really know what's going on, but the hope is that clomid will trick my body into having more progesterone and therefore a longer luteal phase so it has time to implant before the period comes.
Were you ovulating before Clomid?
