For anyone who is taking clomid for whatever fertility reason.

What is gonadotropin injections? And how comes you were put on them instead of the clomid? @BonTon xx

Oh @BonTon there is still hope! Let's hope the others just don't continue growing and disappear! What's the next step? Do you have another scan booked in? I think my next step is those injections, all my consultant said was of Clomid doesn't work then I'll be moved onto a hormonal injection x

@carleygh ah so if Clomid doesn't work for you there's other steps you can take before ivf? That's good x

@CharlotteCx - i was told clomid works by suppressing oestrogen which can thin the womb lining and negatively affect the cervical mucus. The injections are the raw hormone so don’t affect those things so it could have a different result. Who knows though, there seem to be so many factors that influence it...

@carleygh thanks - waiting for the consultant to call this afternoon to work out if the cycle is cancelled or if I continue for a couple more days.

I’m alright, really fed up this cycle, I’ve been crampy and unwell the whole month with BFNs when they really should have been positive by now. CD 28 so spotting usually starts today for full flow tomorrow and I can definitely feel it, I feel awful! I might have a scan today and see if the corpus luteum has collapsed or not yet, that will atleast give me a definite answer

I've just come on my period. So LP is clearly 16 days. Least I'm not in limbo and can move onto the 3rd round. Does anyone no if my gynae increased my dosage in December when I see him I'd have a higher chance of conceiving?

@BonTon oh! I've never heard of that before. How comes you'll be moving back to Clomid then?

@CharlotteCx sorry to hear that.

I think that you would have a higher chance of super ovulation and a higher chance of conception and multiples at a higher dose.
On the flip side theres also studies saying that if you increase the dose too much it stimulates loads of follicles which don’t grow big enough and release any eggs so it’s hit and miss I think. It’s worth asking.

@CharlotteCx yes there is the injections before IVF so let's see...

From my experience if you're ovulating they wouldn't up the dosage as it is already working so no need to. Just a shame it isn't guaranteed 100% to work if you have sex on ovulation. Oh the human body hey! I'm sorry to hear your period came :-( my last month came a day or two late making me think it had worked x

Oh I never knew that, maybe I'd get moved onto them if Clomid didn't work for me. I've still got 5 months left on Clomid so still plenty of time 🤞🏻 3rd time lucky I just glad I'm not in limbo now and can move on x

@Goingbacktokansascity I think I'll put it out there to my gyno and see what he says. As for the 3rd month I'll be dtd every day from when I come off my period until the day after ovulation!

Scanned - no corpus luteum so period should be pretty imminent but that’s it! Hurrry up so I can start again

I’ve been told to take half a dose tonight then will have another scan tomorrow so we’re still in the game at the moment 🤞🏻(Just 🙈)

@Goingbacktokansascity how long have you been trying this time for the second bubs? Pcos is the devil!

I didn’t go on contraception but stopped breastfeeding in July so about 4 months, 2nd cycle now on letrozole, so third coming up.

Oh so we're both coming into our third cycle on the medication. Hopefully 3rd time lucky for both of us 🤞🏻

I’ve got a mixed bag - Polycystic ovaries (but not polycystic ovary syndrome as my hormones aren’t high) and hypogonadism - low FSH and LH. You?

@BonTon when did you start noticing something wasn't quite right was your periods irregular etc?

I've got pcos, I haven't got cysts on my ovaries though Iv just got low progesterone when not on Clomid and high testosterone. I had my LH & FSH test done and my FSH was 7.7 on day 2 and LH was 19. Is that bad do you know? I didn't understand it.x

@CharlotteCx Darn it - I really thought this would be your month! Sorry it didn't happen. You have responded really well to Clomid though, so with a few more months' supply, it will only be a matter of time.

@BonTon and @Goingbacktokansascity Sorry to also hear it hasn't worked out for you either - trying to catch up with your stories, despite me promising to look on here more today! Such a tricky time for us all.

I am now on Day 5 of this brown discharge and am torn between thinking it is random spotting, or a super light period. Has anyone experienced that on Clomid?

I do spot on Clomid but certainly not for 5 days, I spot for a day and then come on my period the next xx

@Chichz last month I had that it was so bizarre, my periods only ever last two days maximum but this was around two days and just not blood at all x

@CharlotteCx No problem- I was really cheering for you today at work!

@carleygh I thought I'd heard of this before. Did you ovulate that cycle do you know? So confusing! X
