@Chichz it's weird because even though I really thought I had it this month.. I think deep down I knew I wasn't - which is why I kept putting off testing. We really are all having a tough time. Hopefully we'll get our BFPs real soon.

DobbieFreeElf · 20/11/2019 21:01

Grrrrrr, CD26 probably only 6 or 7dpo (scan last Tuesday showed I was about to ovulate) and already got brown discharge/ spotting. So looks like Clomid didn't do the job for me. 3 cycles, no BFP, moving on to IVF. Can't say I'm going to miss the Clomid induced hot flushes and sleepless nights!

carleygh · 20/11/2019 21:07

Unfortunately I have no idea that cycle as I was on holiday and decided against taking tests with me so I can't be sure..... it was weird but due when my period was so I still
Took the Clomid but looking back maybe
I should of checked? Who knows x

carleygh · 20/11/2019 21:08

I'm feeling bit rubbish at the moment but no obvious signs just really bad stomach cramps all over almost hoping this isn't a bug! I'm due on next Wednesday

Chichz · 20/11/2019 21:10

@DobbieFreeElf Grrr indeed - though that does seem super early PO to be bleeding, or is that normal for you? Maybe it is something else!!

Xx

Chichz · 20/11/2019 21:12

@CharlotteCx It can look a bit crappy for us all on paper, I know, but this thread really is invaluable - it should be available on prescription! Grin x

CharlotteCx · 20/11/2019 21:22

@Chichz haha I completely agree - it does help to talk to people in a similar situation. Especially when all your friends (like mine) are all on their second and get pregnant with ease. X

CharlotteCx · 20/11/2019 21:24

@carleygh hope you feel better soon x x

DobbieFreeElf · 20/11/2019 21:27

Sadly all too normal for me @Chichz. I've told anyone that will listen that I don't get a positive opk until cd 16/17 and can start spotting as early as cd24 but they don't seem to bother with this as the one progesterone test I did have (in jan) was good for 7dpo... oh well, at least with ivf I'll have progesterone as well to hopefully make the bean stick x

Chichz · 20/11/2019 21:38

How unique! Mind you, my periods can be completely MIA without medication so I'm not one to talk Grin.

I'll also be starting IVF, hopefully early(ish) 2020. Do you know who you're going with etc? X

Chichz · 20/11/2019 21:40

@carleygh I'll join you on the cramps! Hopefully they don't last all week for you. x

carleygh · 20/11/2019 21:58

It's horrible @Chichz I've never had these before so weird :-( x

Beth804 · 20/11/2019 22:14

@CharlotteCx Sorry AF got you, but at least you know you're ovulating so can be positive for next cycle 👍

@carleygh no I didn't ovulate the last 2 cycles, haven't had any scans though. Hope cramps ease off soon 🤞

I have just taken my first 100mg for cycle number 3. Hoping the hot flushes aren't going to be 2x bad! Here's to a sweaty night! 😂🥵

Chichz · 21/11/2019 06:33

BFN for me this morning, as expected. So still none the wiser about this 'bleeding'. I've changed my mind about restarting Clomid after speaking with DH (he's very good about these things!) and we're going to retest beginning of next week and then restart - just to be sure. Gosh, what an emotional rollercoaster this really is for us all! X

Chichz · 21/11/2019 06:33

@Beth804 Oh the sweats!! Hope it wasn't too bad for you. X

carleygh · 21/11/2019 07:18

Oh no @Chichz I'm sorry to hear that :-( when were you due on your period was it around now? Good idea to retest to be safe x

Chichz · 21/11/2019 07:30

Yeah, it would have been around Sunday/Monday for a 28-day cycle and the strange brown stuff started on Saturday! Seems too coincidental. Maybe Clomid started to gear my body up but didn't quite make it haha. How are the cramps? X

BonTon · 21/11/2019 08:14

@chicz is it worth checking with the doctor? Only because if your spotting was your period you might miss the window for this cycle to start the clomid? I obviously don’t know but thought I’d put it out there! 🤷🏼‍♀️ X

carleygh · 21/11/2019 08:16

That's exactly the same as me I only have around 28 day cycle too... I'm wondering if I should of started taking Clomid on it but the hospital was closed as it fell on the weekend.... cramps have eased a little bit just feeling very nauseous 🙄 x

Chichz · 21/11/2019 08:23

@BonTon That was my original thought, but I've since found out that Clomid can be started on any cycle day! You don't actually have to have a bleed to start it either. X

BonTon · 21/11/2019 09:31

Interesting!

carleygh · 21/11/2019 09:46

I read this to @Chichz as some people are told to start on day 5 etc whereas most on day 2 so it shows it can be whenever really.... x

CharlotteCx · 21/11/2019 09:52

@Beth804 deffo 🤞🏻

CharlotteCx · 21/11/2019 09:56

@Chichz can Clomid really be on any cycle day? How comes the drs recommend taking them on 2-6 or 3-7? If you take the 1st pill later will you potentially ovulate later in your cycle?

Goingbacktokansascity · 21/11/2019 09:59

From what I’ve read on fertsert if ovulation hasn’t occurred it can be started on any day, recommended CD2/3 usually so that you have long enough a luteal phase after ovulation for implantation. Usually ovulate 4-7 days after last clomid tablet
