@carleygh I didn't ovulate first 2 rounds so I managed to contact the fertility nurse and explain I didn't want to 'waste' another round when 50mg wasn't working. She agreed and spoke to the consultant who upped it for this time. I'll be in for another appointment next month, so we'll see!

@LJM83 yes, me! I'm on my 3rd day taking 100mg now. Is this your first clomid cycle? How are you feeling?

@carleygh so so much! I hope my LP stays the same 15 days, coz I still haven't come on AF so tomorrow I'll be late lol

Still no sign, so officially late! I took a test to the toilet to do it with my fmu & where I was just concentrating on checking for any sign of af/spotting I just done a wee 🙈 going to take it to work with me and do it there...

Is anyone on this thread taking Clomid although they ovulate unaided? I ovulate every single month but no BFP for two years. I'm just wondering what the situation is with having sex (I know that sounds like a ridiculous question given the topic of this thread!). I'd normally be into 'high fertility' on my opk this weekend but I don't have my first scan until Tuesday - do we just carry on BDIng as we normally would or are we advised to wait until after the scan? I'm a little confused.

@ComeTheFuck0nBridget sorry - to answer your other Q, yes this is my first cycle and I'm taking 50mg x

Me @LJM83 has your DP had a semen analysis. The only factor they can identify with us is hubby's low count. Clomid was used to give his guys some extra targets!

BDing advice varies but try to BD every other day

Ah ok - I guess that makes sense. My DH had the analysis and all was fine - there is just no reason they can find to explain our struggles! 🤷🏻‍♀️

How long have you been taking Clomid? 🤞🏻 for you and your increased targets! x

3 cycles @LJM83, this is my last. I went for an ivf initial appointment this cycle and had a scan as part of that, I had 2 large follicles just before ovulation so possible that both eggs were released.

We too have "unexplained infertility" but ours is unexplained secondary infertility after 1 DS and 2 mmc. It's almost worse as you have no reason for the ongoing inability to conceive and when they give you the "unexplained infertility" title it almost feels as if they're saying "nope, not a clue, let's just give you that title and leave it there"

@DobbieFreeElf I agree I think unexplained fertility is the absolute pits. Especially frustrating when it’s secondary ☹️ I actually got labelled as that until I got my AMH because I’m not classically PCOS, but the AMH being so high confirmed it

@Chichz I done a internet cheapie the one step ones with my second wee, it was negative. I'm 16dpo, Iv looked at reviews and a lot of people have said they are rubbish. So will see what happens and re test tomorrow if I still haven't come on. I know I ovulated so I deffinatly should be on by now!

I got prescribed Clomid but did sometimes ovulate (I'm sure) but my periods were just very irregular or really barely there so they just said try these.

They told me not to have intercourse before the scan incase of hyperstimulation as the Clomid May work too much and you can end up with a lot of follicles x

@DobbieFreeElf we're the same - my DD is now 5 and we've been TTC for 2 years. Absolutely no issues conceiving first time round do we naively presumed it's be the same with no.2......we were very wrong! We've had all the tests and all is 'fine'. I'm conceived an emergency C section is the problem but my specialist is unconvinced. Fingers crossed this works! Wishing you lots of luck x

@carleygh - yes, that was my concern - we'd love another baby.....not sure how we'd cope with multiples! 😬

@LJM83 - I’m a similar story to @carleygh - I ovulated a couple of times on my own without clomid but had very irregular cycles.

Off to the hospital shortly for a scan. I’ve already had two scans this cycle but the follicle had barely grown in 3 days so they’ve increased the menopur dose and I’m hoping it’s had a growth spurt so I ovulate in the next couple of days!

I'm sure I'd get a positive though as I am 16dpo. So very confused right now!

Are you taking progesterone pessaries? I was told they could delay your period. Do you know that you definitely ovulated 16 days ago? Sure you do but thought I’d check!

No I'm not taking pessaries hun. I just take Clomid and metformin.

I had a cd22 bloods which confirmed I had ovulated, and I got my peak opk and EWCM on CD14, so think I ovulated cd15! Very confused right now x

Not good news for me. I’m now over stimulated with too many follicles and they are possibly going to cancel the cycle for fear of multiple pregnancies - chance would be a fine thing! Waiting to hear this afternoon.... this process is so so so frustrating.

One at 17mm, one at 15mm, one at 13mm and a handful around 10mm. I’m on the borderline I think as more than 2 over 14mm and the cycle is definitely cancelled so I’m hoping they give it a couple of days. I’m on the first cycle of the Gonadotropins injections after three cycles of clomid where I ovulated but didn’t get pregnant. Maybe I’ll be going back to clomid!

@bonton that’s rubbish. Sorry to hear it. So important to listen to them though Although I know I’d be tempted to just see what happened 😭
