@AliceAbsolum good to hear you've got a plan! It also sounds really good, Cyprus!

I had a chat with Reprofit, they suggested immunology, trombophilia and ERA examinations. They said they think it's highly unlikely that I have endometriosis but I can do a biopsy when doing ERA test and also check my uterus for bacteria. I need some time to process this information..

AliceAbsolum · 28/08/2019 17:56

@Pleaseletitbeme I hope you're resting at home x

@Viletta Thats interesting, how many failed transfers have you had so far? It will be really good to rule things out and take next steps.
Can I ask roughly how much that costs?

Heard back again from the clinic, looking at starting the pill next week, its all moving forward nicely. I've not ovved on my own this month, which is no surprise as its the first cycle after the donor one.

@AliceAbsolum I had 2 failed fresh and one failed FET. The last two I had nice blasts. One more in the freezer. I'm looking forward to get price from Reprofit, here in the UK I imagine it'll be a fortune. I feel like there is nothing obviously wrong with me and they are looking into nitty gritty.. I am sure I could get pregnant naturally, in fact I did years ago before I got married, I was in uni and it was totally unexpected and I terminated it. Doctors always though it was a good indication that all is good on my side. I will let you know the Reprofit prices when I know.

Pleaseletitbeme · 28/08/2019 19:35

Thanks guys.
They wanted to keep me in but I signed a self discharge form.
I was there until midnight.
They still can’t decide if it is ectopic or not. There is a small empty sac of something.
Back tomorrow at 7pm for repeat bloods

Pleaseletitbeme · 29/08/2019 12:59

So back at hospital.
Don’t feel very well today,
Tummy pain. Headache.
Waiting to be seen. They are totally full. With four emergencies then me.
I really feel sorry for the staff. They are so very very busy.

AliceAbsolum · 29/08/2019 16:03

Let us know how it goes. Have you been seen yet? +sending hugs+ xxxxx

I got my protocol though, I'm on menopur again but 300 instead of 450, for 10 days instead of 7. I'm thrilled, I think last time it was too intense, I can definitely see why my NHS Dr put me on the top dose, he had to with 1 funded cycle, but at day 6 I had 2 follicles at 22cm... Peaked too soon (in my layman's opinion). Anyway, I'm v pleased.
We fly on the 21st Oct, so that gives me over 6 weeks on DHEA, pleased with that too. We shall see.

@Pleaseletitbeme let us know what they say. Don't worry about work too, take time off to rest. Work won't go anywhere and you should take care of yourself first.

@AliceAbsolum so glad you feel positive again!

Wesstywoo · 29/08/2019 20:27

@Pleaseletitbeme let us know how it goes, hope you got some answers today.

@AliceAbsolum excellent! My clinic seem to think 6 weeks is enough. Found some interesting videos on it on youtube which explain the theory - just search DHEA IVF. The Centre for Human Reproduction's one was worth a watch

Pleaseletitbeme · 29/08/2019 21:12

So Beta dropped to 60 confirming miscarriage.
I’ve started bleeding heavily again. So hopefully this is the last little bit.
It’s just such a horrible experience this whole thing.
I feel so very alone.

Twiglet2353 · 29/08/2019 21:33

@Pleaseletitbeme I'm so sorry you're going through this xxx

Well. I've had a shock. Co-ordinator at the Cyprus clinic got in touch after the Dr read our medical records from Reprofit - Did I know my partner has teratozoospermia? Uh no!? His morphology is 1.5. He has been tested 5 times in the NHS (but they wouldn't test for DNA fragmentation) and once at Reprofit and no one has ever mentioned anything about it. NHS always said his sperm was great (!) and Reprofit didn't mention it, although its clearly on his notes.

Seriously, I don't know what is wrong with these clinics. I feel like everywhere I go everyone is just so frickin incompetent. Run tests, find out whats wrong, fix it....clearly that is impossible to do. 4 years later and only now we have come across this. Urgh, so angry. I've spent all that time thinking its my fault and I'm the deficient one.

What are our chances now we know he has shit sperm and I have shit eggs? :(

I'm just so thankful we decided on Cyprus as now we can consider IMSI/Microchip and that along with donor eggs might actually make a viable embryo.

Hi guys.
I feel so utterly broken.
I’m bleeding quite heavily- which I guess is the remnants of what was seen on the scan.
I slept in the spare room last night.
Havent seen OH for 24 hours. He wasn’t at home at 8pm and I was so fed up of being in on my own I went out to get some diesel- which is a 2 hour round trip after 8pm.
He was in bed when I got back.
I’ve been into work- had to go in every day.
It’s game over for us I think.
Single.
Childless.

AliceAbsolum · 31/08/2019 08:08

I hope you were catastrophising (in the nicest possible way). Have you seen him yet? Maybe he was overwhelmed? Not good that he's not being supportive though.
The miscarriage association have a support line, might be worth talking to someone helpful who understands.

@Pleaseletitbeme sorry you are having such a bad time, I hope you guys manage to sort things out. MC is a horrible thing to go through, take all the time you need - can you take time off work? Tell them/get signed off/take annual leave? I appreciate it's not always that simple when it comes to work Sad

WorriedButterfly · 31/08/2019 13:01

@Pleaseletitbeme I am so sorry you are going through this, please take time for yourself. x

Russkispy · 31/08/2019 22:40

@Pleaseletitbeme just checking on you. Let us know how you're doing/feeling.ThanksThanks

Viletta · 31/08/2019 22:59

@Pleaseletitbeme I'm so sorry.. things will get better, they always do. How are you feeling today? Have you two talked? Take care of yourself and try to take a day at a time xx

@AliceAbsolum gosh! I also found fertility clinics notoriously bad for male factor things. I guess they though IVF would automatically fix any problems with sperm, but they should have mentioned the results to you none the less! There are lots of things you can do for better sperm quality! What does the dr from Cyprus suggest?

I keep thinking about ERA testing, it originates in the UK and a lab called igenomix apparently has a patent on it. It's about €950 in Reprofit. If samish price in the UK I'd rather not travel.

Hopingforbabyd · 31/08/2019 23:18

@Pleaseletitbeme thinking of you both ❤️ x

Pleaseletitbeme · 02/09/2019 10:15

Hi everyone.
Hope you are all ok.
I’ve had a bit better weekend.
Just about to email the clinic to find out when we can go again.

Hopingforbabyd · 02/09/2019 22:02

@Pleaseletitbeme so pleased to hear you've had a better weekend, hope you managed to hear back from the clinic. Hope both you and OH are okay have been thinking of you x

Russkispy · 05/09/2019 16:24

Hi ladies, how's everyone getting on?! @Hopingforbabyd @Viletta @AliceAbsolum @Wesstywoo
@Pleaseletitbeme have you heard from the clinic yet?! Hope you're feeling a bit better now?!
AFM, went to EPU in Wednesday for the last time to repeat HCG and it dropped down to 14. I was discharged and no hysteroscopy needed.
In the meantime, our donor is going through her stumps and egg collection is now confirmed for Monday! I'm beyond nervous and excited! We haven't been told how many she has and will only be told on collection day. Believe it's a standard procedure for DE process. We're flying home this weekend, seeing my doc on Monday morning to repeat HCG, scan and outline a plan for FET in October! I can't begin to tell you how I feel! A mixture of everything! One minute I was dealing with the miscarriage and next we're almost ready for transfer. 1 embryo will be then biopsied and PGT-a tested and the rest put on ice. I'm just hoping there will be a few 5 day blastocysts!
