@AliceAbsolum just catching up, this is wonderful news! Are you POAS today too? I must've kept FRER in business at the start, the pricey fuckers! 😂

I'm doing okay thanks. 36 weeks today., with induction booked for the end of the month. Had a fair amount of ups and downs this pregnancy, but luckily baby's growth has gone back upto normal.

In terms of sinking in, I'm still not there yet. I underestimated how much infertility had changed me as a person. I want to be honest, even though it's so hard to say out loud, that I haven't enjoyed this pregnancy at all. The one thing I really want. And it's because I still feel my body is about to let me down. I still can't imagine that I will be one of the lucky ones that takes home a healthy baby and watches it grow.
I don't want to be a Debbie-downer, I just want anyone else that reads this to know that it's ok to not be/feel/look like everyone else. Maybe I've found it hard due to my profession as well. Anywho, I appreciate you checking in and I am watching with hope and love that this is your time xxx

@Viletta @Pleaseletitbeme I’m so hopeful for you both in January. Hopefully a fresh new start in a new year.

@AliceAbsolum it’s wonderful news seeing those double lines -but yes it’s very hard to be truly happy and accept it after years of infertility. I’m 9 weeks tomo and have found the last months of so very nerve wracking -the bleeding obviously hasn’t helped. I just can’t wait for time to pass. Have another scan booked in for tomo and just hope for the best.

hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

@Russkispy it is such a hard time of year fir a loss -really thinking of you.

@Hopingforbabyd how many weeks are you now? Hopefully you are starting to feel more relaxed? I still barely have symptoms at 9 weeks but have had two scans. Hopefully still there tomo!!

Hopingforbabyd · 09/11/2019 11:57

@mouse1234567 I felt the same they were really on and off until 10 weeks and now I am 16 weeks the exhaustion has set right in. I'm feeling okay though I am a little anxious as I was feeling baba move like a swirly sensation and now my bump seems to of changed shape and I don't feel as much. I phoned the midwife today and she reassured me that because baby is mainly in water the sensations may be the swooshing of the water and shape changed as baby moved. The anxiety doesn't go away does it. Some days I don't even feel pregnant other than an obvious tummy. But each day is a blessing 🥰 I hope you're doing okay and are looking forward to your scan. I've booked in for a private scan on Saturday next week and can't wait to see baby's face again just to know they're okay.

Hoping all you ladies are still doing okay, I think of you often. Sorry if the description above is a little in your face I just feel I can talk to you all. I've tried voicing concerns on other threads but no one listens or replies x

Viletta · 09/11/2019 13:56

@Hopingforbabyd no please don't stop posting here! It's great to hear that you are doing well and also giving me a glimpse of 'the other side'! Hope you manage your anxiety! I bet you could also see the gender on your next scan. Would you want to?

Viletta · 09/11/2019 14:09

@AliceAbsolum thank you for the link! Found that the councilor I planned to see is registered there! I think allowing yourself to be happy is a good idea. We can't foresee the future but we can be happy today. So far everything goes well and very possibly it will all keep going well! Being happy is not the same as being silly or not cautious.

Viletta · 09/11/2019 14:16

@Twiglet2353 36 weeks, wow! Not long now:) hope you'll feel released and happy when the baby arrives.. it's interesting to hear how infertility affects our ability to enjoy the pregnancy.. I keep hearing that all mothers worry but I bet not as much as the ones that suffered years of infertility!

@mouse1234567 9 weeks, exciting! Hope you are feeling nice and relaxed and have a great weekend!

I've had a home cooked full English and an apple crumble.. will stop now and get back to my dieting, need to loose the weight for January cycle!

Hopingforbabyd · 09/11/2019 16:45

Thank you @Viletta I still feel so attached to this board, I'm rooting for you all! You're right there, the worry never goes away and I think for me personally it's because I still can't believe this is real. I do feel like my cloudy head has lifted from all the stresses of ivf and I've noticed now how when people ask if it's my first always say "yes and they're so wanted, it's my ivf baby" and I feel so proud! 🥰💪🏼 I'm so excited for the scan and yes we can find out. I think we are going to but I'm really enjoying the special moment of knowing whoever this little person is I love them so much already so I think I might try and persuade hubby to hold onto that feeling too and wait x

Hopingforbabyd · 09/11/2019 16:46

*yes we can find out then

Russkispy · 10/11/2019 19:35

@Viletta please remind me why you went for ERA test? I got BFP every time but always lost around 6-7 weeks and this time was around 4-5 weeks with DE. And wondering if ERA test will be for me to find out why I don't keep past 6-7 weeks. But then again, those times were with my own eggs. So was more likely with quality of them, one even had trisomy in 18.
But now I used DE and got a BFP but ended up losing it and that was only around 4-5 weeks.

I want to speak to my clinic and ask for tests but which ones? It's easy for them to say rest 2-3 months after all my losses this year alone! But what can I do/improve before my next transfer. But more importantly, what can my clinic do for me in order to have a successful outcome!

My head is spinning right now Sad

Hopingforbabyd · 10/11/2019 20:40

@AliceAbsolum how are those lines looking today? X

@Russkispy I have just seen your news and I am truly sorry. Make sure you enjoy ALL the festivities to come and take on the new year just as you have this year, with so much courage and strength x

Viletta · 10/11/2019 22:07

@Russkispy ERA test is to establish implantation window.. I've had 3 transfers of what looked like good quality embryos but none of the stocked, I've never seen a bfp. I think my implantation window might be shifted. Since you got bfp I don't think you need this test. My doctor also recommended to check blood for immune response and thickness (trombophilia). I'm not sure what may cause a miscarriage apart of embryo development but I'd definitely speak to as many doctors as possible about it. There is a clinic in Cyprus everyone's talking about, I think their first Skype consultation is free, you could check what they think? Did you do PGS embryo testing?

Steenac7 · 10/11/2019 22:22

Hi @Russkispy sorry for jumping in. I was on this thread back in April so I’ve kept checking in. Very sorry to hear about your loss.

I’m having an ERA and ZFB biopsy soon with my clinic. ERA is implantation so I agree with Viletta you don’t seem to need this but ZFB is to check any immune response so that could be worth doing.

I don’t know what your original issues were but if you’re had miscarriages with your own and donor eggs and ZFB comes back with nothing would it be worth doing a DNA fragmentation test on your DH sperm in case that’s something that had been missed? It’s separate to a sperm analysis.

Russkispy · 10/11/2019 22:23

@Viletta thank you for replying! With my own eggs, I PGS embryos and 1 had trisomy in 18. Very bad news! The other stuck but ended in a MMC.
Now with DE, we ended with 12 blasts! 2 were PGS tested and both returned as healthy and normal! 1 was transferred last month but as you know it all ended in early miscarriage at 4-5 weeks.
So not sure if I needed ERA test then?!
I just sent a 10 mile long email to my coordinator so she can speak to my doc on my behalf with all questions I asked! See what they come back with and take it from there. Bottom line is, I asked for all tests under the sun!

Viletta · 11/11/2019 00:29

@Russkispy good idea to investigate further. I hope they'll find the issue and next time you'll be more prepared. We'll get there in the end xx

Viletta · 11/11/2019 00:31

@Steenac7 glad to see you back! Let me know how ERA goes for you. I expect my results in about 3 weeks

Wesstywoo · 11/11/2019 09:47

@Russkispy after my 2 CPs my clinic did FBC and trombophilia screen. Trombophilia was negative but FBC suggests I meed 75mg asprin in the event of a BFP. Also what are you on in terms of luteal support? I need intra muscular progesterone injections as the pessaries are not enough for me

Russkispy · 11/11/2019 09:48

@Steenac7 thank you. My clinic used a PICSI method for fertilization. Not sure if you heard of this technique bu it basically selected best/healthy sperm from dna fragmentation if it's present and not visible under ICSI. I did ask if we needed a separate dna fragmentation and was told it wasn't necessarily as we had a PICSI. I sent a very long email to my coordinator last night and asked to check me for everything under the sun! See what happens next.

Russkispy · 11/11/2019 09:51

@Wesstywoo my bloods after transfer came back fine and was told to stop aspirin as my blood was getting too thin.
I always took Utrgogest orally and once vaginally. And in my email I asked about different methods of supporting including your suggestion.
I basically asked for everything that I heard from other women in other threads and forums. I threw absolutely everything into my email and asked for a phone call after they digested it

Viletta · 11/11/2019 11:43

@Russkispy I had a prednisone for immune response. Hopefully they'll suggest more testing and new protocol. Let us know what they say x

Russkispy · 11/11/2019 11:47

@Viletta I was taking prednisolone too. So one still wonder what actually went wrong?!
And how soon would one go for next transfer?! Hmmm

Viletta · 11/11/2019 12:38

@Russkispy let's see what your doctor and consultant comes back with.. it could be just a glitch in the embryo development..

I booked myself a counseling session this Wednesday. Very much looking forward to unload and moan:)

Russkispy · 11/11/2019 13:12

@Viletta who knows! although I'd like to know! Just feeling meh and very quiet! I need a plan to keep myself afloat.
Hope counseling helps you!

A question to whom had a miscarriage in the past. How soon after a miscarriage did you have your next transfer? Did you wait 2-3 months? Or went after 1 cycle?

AliceAbsolum · 11/11/2019 15:12

@Viletta Hope your counselling session goes well.

@Russkispy Thinking of you x

@Twiglet2353 Thank-you for saying that, I'm sorry you have not enjoyed it, but I'm not surprised with what you have been through. Plus your profession as well might not be the most helpful thing at times! Its helpful to know that even at such a late stage of pregnancy it can still feel unreal or like it might not happen. It has helped me to realise that. I hope when they're safely in your arms you can find some peace from some of/all of this.

@Hopingforbabyd Good to hear from you, exhaustion doesn't sound fun though. Hope the scan goes well :) How many have you had?

Check out my lines attached. I had a bit of a wobble yesterday when it didn't darken over 48 hours, but then this morning I was rewarded. Seriously I could stare at that picture all day. Never, ever seen a line.

I've got my 6 weeks scan booked in next Friday, so 13 days to go. Won't test again now.
I feel really sick! SO THRILLED Grin

@AliceAbsolum was thinking about you! Great progression! But please stay away from the tests now! Fingers crossed for your scan! Not long to wait! Crossing everything for you!

Russkispy · 11/11/2019 15:28

For those who had a transfer, what drugs have you been given in your tww and if/when you got a BFP, what drugs were you having to support the pregnancy.

I appreciate we're all different but just gathering info so I can check with my clinic. To throw new ideas at them.
