Hi everyone

I’m creating a new thread with the hope of finding people with similar dates to me. I am due to start medication on May 13th with the hope egg collection will be June 19th. I’m 34, female factor fertility.

Anyone else out there with similar dates?

Mrbay that's great we have the same dates. Do you know when EC is pencilled in for? Mine is the 26th but will see.

Cauliflower82 I'm sorry the scan wasn't what you wanted. Damn ovaries for functioning! Glad you are feeling a bit better.

Nordicmom fingers crossed everything works out. Hope the next few days bring symptoms!

Seems lots of people had scans today.
I had my final scan and am told my EC is definately happening on Friday.
The Fri EC was uncertain because if my follicles weren't big enough they would have had to cancel this cycle and it is a three month wait to get a new EC in theatre date 😲. So I'm really pleased that even this first hurdle is overcome, but also recognise there are still many more to go!

Somewhat anxious about the actual EC procedure now.

@Helene2019 that's really good news! Are you triggering tonight then? Hurrah! I've had the EC before, it's just a really nice sleep and then chill out for the rest of the day. I was mainly just annoyed about the antibiotics they'd given me which meant I couldn't have a nice glass of wine (what sort of a lush do I sound like?!)

@Cauliflower82 I think I may have laughed out loud at your latest project. Do we all get different coloured index cards?? Which colour will you allocate to that little witch Crystal82?!

@Cauliflower82 I’m so sorry the scan didn’t go to plan-there’s so much waiting and Unknowns in this and it can be very hard to bear when your hopes are up. I’m really hoping a little more time is what it takes. Fingers crossed for you.

@Helene2019 great news about your EC-good luck -not long now and it will all be done. I guess you have triggered now then?

@SpongeBob79 the lubion progesterone is soooo horrible -never done any injections like them! So bruised!! Hopefully they will be worth it! How’s your tww going?

@mouse1234567 it’s ok, at least I’m not at work. Was very crampy last 2 days but nothing today. Who knows? I hate this part.

Hello everyone. I thought I would risk fate and jump back on. My 'period' stopped after a couple of days without ever getting heavy. Still getting occasional spotting. Absolutely anxious every second but I have a brilliant friend who I went to visit today to keep me distracted. She lives on a farm and is bottle feeding some lambs at the moment. They literally come running up and sit it your lap for a bottle. I attach pictures as we are all going a little nuts right now I think and the wee lambs are soothing for the soul 😍😍

@weenumpty I laughed so much at your post where your husband fell asleep while you were deciding if sex was safe 😂😂

@ginandtonic31 Thank you for finding crystal82. I checked her out when I was sat on the tube. So did the man stood up over my shoulder 😉

@Cauliflower82 - sorry to hear that you've not shut down fully, its such an emotional roller coaster isn't it? But I am now starting to enjoy a good cry!

@Nordicmom - don't lose hope, it's not over until the doc says it is.

@CornishMaid1 - not long to go now, how you feeling about it?

@DawnK77 - don't worry, it takes a lot for me to cry, but I've broken down in tears to more people than I care to mention over the past few weeks. The clinic probably have be listed down as emotional and can't read!!

@Zest11 - it's like to be W/C 24th June so we might be the same day! That's if my girls can produce the goods!

@Helene2019 - exciting!!! Glad you are finally at EC, I know there are many hurdles to over come but you have managed to get over the first :)

@LittleOne3 - everything crossed! But, OMG how cute are they? I just love anything with four legs and tail! Today, we were allowed our dogs in the office, they make a day at work more bearable.

Girls! I finally managed to do my own buserelin tonight day 11! Tears of happiness from me and dh almost joined in too! Thanks for the advice!

I fell asleep in the first minute of mindful IVF last night and didn't even get to the end of Love Island!

@cauliflower82 Starting on day 2 may be what is taking you a little longer - a lot of clinics start on day 21, so are only about 2 weeks or less. If you start earlier in your cycle there is probably more for the drugs to fight against. Being in the 21+ days for a day 2 downreg is normal.

I had 0.3 for the last and 0.5 for this one. I was on a lite cycle last time, so had a lower dose of drugs. I think 0.5 is the standard dose.

I am not on menopur so no mixing for me - I am having bemfola, which are pre-filled injections. On my last cycle I took longer to stim so the clinic gave me meriofert for the extra two days (to save paying for a whole new drug delivery) and that one I had to mix.

The mixing is fine once you have done it once. I think I ended up focusing so much on the mixing and making sure that I did it right (it was a lot easier than I had built it up to be) that I forgot I was going to have to stab myself with another needle!

@Cauliflower82 I'm not on that drug although am on a mixing drug. It's really fine after the first day. The key for me is getting everything all set up (I've got to mix 3 bottles of powder with one bottle of water) and then I just bash through it all. Into a good routine now.

Hi @Littleone3 nice to see you back, I’ve read others having similar bleeds and then stopping so it’s not uncommon, when’s your otd? Those lambs are adorable.

Those with dogs, were having a few biting, clamping down bite issues with our pup, she just gets very excited and then gets carried away. Any tips my hands and ankles are sore!

@spongebob79 try diverting the attention to chewing my boy loves a deer antler they last ages and are natural, otherwise the yak bones are also good but don't last half as long :)

@LittleOne3 cute lambs! Glad the bleeding has stopped. Fingers crossed.

I’m off work today -had bloods drawn this morning and transfer is set for 1.30 this aft followed by acupuncture.

@KittyKatSmile thank you. I’m feeling ok thanks -little bit anxious but also excited and keen to get it done. Need to try and stay calm. Just had to do a delightful voltarol suppository which isn’t pleasant!! Hope you are getting on ok.

@cornishmaid1 yeah I started day 2. I’m a bit furious that they wouldn’t start me on day 21 rather than drag out the drugs unnecessarily. Grrr I’m feeling the rage today.

Ooh my break is almost over. I’ve missed a few but will catch up later.

Nothing to report today. I feel nothing but fury and frustration. I’m just desperate to be shut down next week. It’ll be day 31 of buserelin when I go in. Surely that’s enough time. God, I hope so.

Can I please ask a question ladies? Do you do the trigger the same day as your last stims or the next day? I'm starting to get a bit uncomfortable and ready to be harvested now. Would also like some control back over my life. Please. If anyone can arrange that.

Cauliflower my long protocol ( when u down reg with buserelin ) was started on day 21 , the short one was on day 2 . A scan then straight into stimulation it took me a few extra days but roughly two weeks in had EC then transfer 2 d later because I only had two eggs one fertilised .

Btw still negatives although all Clear Blue tests come up with a faint shadow line for days now but it’s not blue so I’m ready to stop my progesterone and hopefully stop feeling quite so shit soon . No AF but I suspect it won’t come until after I stop the drugs . I’m ready to move on now and think about other things . I will try again in September when schools start hopefully by then I’ve forgotten about some of the misery . Good luck to all of you !!!

@nordicmom thank you. It seems so weird to start downregulation on day 2 for a long protocol - I can see how it would make sense day 21. I’m so sorry to hear that you haven’t had a clear positive yet - will your doctor do a blood test at all?

I don’t know not as far as I understand . They said to just do a home test tomorrow on 13dp2dt and either stop meds or go get more .

@KittyKatSmile will they not tell you when to do it exactly at your last scan? On my form it says I will be told the exact time to take it. Roughly I think it is 36hours before EC.
