Hi everyone, just had my first down regulation injection this morning with a scan booked for next Thursday. This will be the transfer of my remaining embryo. I had a little boy last year via ICSI so I know I've been very lucky already.

Anyone else starting now?

I’m really sorry. They will figure out what went wrong and then adjust your meds for next time. I know it’s not much but if you didn’t get any eggs it means they won’t have poked around much in your ovaries meaning you will likely be able to try again quite quickly!

So sorry Cariad82. You must be devastated 

My transfer went ok although I cried through the whole thing. Think they thought I was crazy! I managed not to puke or poo so that's something! I've to go back for a blood test on 10th December so we'll see what happens.

So sorry @cariad82 it must have been so hard to go through all that and not have eggs. Hopefully though they will have learnt about your response and have a better treatment plan for you next time xx

@Cariad82 I'm so sorry, that must be awful after going through all this. I hope you can have some time to look after yourself. Your doctors will learn a lot from this cycle and next time, they will be much more prepared.

Thank you all for the kind words. I really hope my doctors have learnt something and there's a way forward. I'm so scared they're going to say it's just never going to work for me.

@Cariad82 they often say that the first cycle is a fact-finding mission; a test run. Now they regroup and figure out your options. And you WILL have options 💪🏻

I'm an idiot. I tested. It's negative. I'm gutted. I'm only 5dp5dt but I got a BFP at this point with my chemical pregnancy so I'm not holding out much hope.

I feel so bloated, tired and my mood goes up and down. I hope tomorrow's scan will be better than wednesdays.

It is early, @jemimafuddleduck, but I got my BFP at this stage last time 😔

@RedPandaFluff that does seem very early.

I feel pretty bloated today so hopefully that means something. I have another scan tomorrow, fingers crossed the follicles have grown. My injections are getting a bit painful now.

I've been SO hormonal for the past couple of days. I've been on the verge of tears one minute and snappy and grumpy the next!! My symptoms could definitely be worse but I am sick of it already 😩

I have my 3rd scan as well and they will confirm when ec will be!@RedPandaFluff fingers crossed for you,still early days.@Cariad82 sorry to hear that specially at that stage.@Beetroot01 good luck with your scan as well. Does anyone know if it is very important to have intercourse a few days before ec?nurse told me that 3 days before so the sperm is better.My sex life has completely disappeared and with the bloating I don't feel like I want but I wonder if the abstinence could have a bad outcome...

Good luck tomorrow Guio. I didn’t feel like sex either, I was so bloated etc. Frankly I just got my husband to sort himself out 3 days before ec!

@Guio my clinic said DH has to abstain 3-5 days before EC but certainly no longer than 7 days. I'm having my final scan today too. Good luck ladies xx

It looks like that a lot of ladies got their scans today. Good luck to all of us.
I had the same question in my head to ask today about DH sperm.

@Guio our docs said 3-5 days as well but we found that 5 days was disasterous the first time so did 3 days the second time and that was a little better. Think they replenish quite quickly but then start do go sleepy if you leave it too long?

@RedPandaFluff I think it can be different each time so don’t loose hope yet. What kind of test where you using? Weirdly with my 3 miscarriages, I was obsessively testing as you do but I used the boots own brand strips, they have a little blue strip on the end and they have the equivalent for ovulation sticks in green. They look like matchsticks and you can see the line much more easily because there’s no plastic over them.

I tested with a FRER this morning - stark white. I'm out :-(

Bad luck RedPandaFluff but don’t lose hope yet, it’s still early days. Hospital tested me on Monday when I was 9dpt, it was negative. By Weds it was positive. Good luck.

Good morning all!ec this Monday!I feel so nervous right now.If I have intercourse tonight will be only 2 days before Monday but I hope it is not a problem as it not between the 3-5 days range.

@Guio my EC is Monday too - I asked the nurse and she said it would be fine today but no more after that. I've only got 4 follicles at the appropriate size but that is better than they were expecting given my AMH level xx
