Hi everyone, just had my first down regulation injection this morning with a scan booked for next Thursday. This will be the transfer of my remaining embryo. I had a little boy last year via ICSI so I know I've been very lucky already.

Anyone else starting now?

@Josie789 I have PCOS too you sound very similar to me, start off with a very high number of eggs but I think PCOS means our egg quality is compromised so don’t end up with as many good quality blastocysts by the end of it. Can i ask why they unfroze all 5 in one go did you ask them too?

@amyK18 we asked them too, we assumed some would be good to re-freeze but they weren't.
I don't think the egg quality is compromised, I asked the embryologist that on Monday and she says the quantity won't affect the quality it is just normal for some people with pcos

Welcome new ladies in this difficult journey.
I had my day7 scan. I have 3 folicules in right ovary and my left ovary is much busier (don't know numbers) as well folicules are a bit small. So I am staying on Meriofert for another 2 days and going to have scan on friday. Fingers crossed its going to look better on friday.

I had my scan after 4 stims injections, about 10ish follicles, not sure if that's any good, they are behind size wise so I've been given a growth hormone and I'll be scanned again on Friday. Still not sure if it will be a transfer cycle or freeze all cycle.

Had my second scan today. Still 7 follicles, 6 on the left and dominant and have grown up to 13-16mm and the right is only one and around 11mm. Starting Orgalutran tonight, to prevent them from premature bursting. Next scan on Friday and flying home/to the clinic on Saturday. Trigger is on Sunday. Egg collection is still scheduled for next Tuesday.

I also have to up my stims meds. Trying not to over analysis everything and going with the flow.

I’ve spent 2 days trying to carry on as normal while drinking lots of water, but my OHSS is worse so I’m back in hospital again tonight.

Silver lining is that I took a test today and it was positive as TinyPaws suggested it would be! So at least there seems to be a reason for all this. Super early days of course, I’m only 4 weeks, and now the wait begins for the viability scan.

@lillyleaf try not to worry. I didn't really respond to my first treatment and they talked about stopping the treatment then from no where I produced lots of follicles!

@cautiousoptimist so please for u! Giving me some hope I'm worried I may have mild Ohss and it will mean a freeze all. Hope you feel better soon xx

Thank you Josie789 and good luck to you. Your clinic may well suggest a freeze all if you have OHSS now, which would be so incredibly disappointing I know. I had no sign of it on my scan after egg collection I don’t think, otherwise mine would have done the same. Honestly, it might be for the best if you’re at risk as I believe it can become very bad very quickly. Hopefully they can put you at ease that what you’re feeling is normal and not OHSS. What are your symptoms?

@CautiousOptimist that's great news, that must be amazing, but sorry you're feeling so bad. Does your clinic do a blood test to confirm?

I have a bruise on my stomach, I was doing so well not getting any. Nevermind, no one will see it.

Hi all! I was disconnected for a few days but here I am again!@Beetroot01 I had my second scan today and I have 10 follicles,5 on each side so they are aiming for ec next Monday if they have grown enough by Friday.do you know when yours will be?@LillyLeaf it seems we have the same number.why do you need to increase your dose?my nurse told me that 10 is a good number.I feel quite bloated at the moment,tonight will be the 7th one 😊 and I started to have effects since yesterday.congratulations @CautiousOptimist!

@Guio my follicles were on the small side, 8mm (I think) so I think that's the reason for the meds increase. What size are yours? They haven't mentioned when EC will be yet, maybe I'll find out at my scan on Friday, maybe it's too early for them to tell if it's even working. I've just done a bloody painful injection, I think I must have hit a nerve…!

@LillyLeaf the nurse didn't tell me the measurements,just that they were big enough so almost ready but still waiting for the small ones to grow.I wonder what happens if the big ones grow a lot, could that be a problem?I had the same today,bled for the first time.i think it will be because it is sore after so many

Excellent news, @CautiousOptimist! I do hope your OHSS symptoms start to ease soon.

I've seen several positives on mumsnet over the last few days, maybe we're on a lucky streak 😁

I'm 4dp5dt and can't work out if my symptoms are real or all in my mind. I have mild lower backache, which I had with the chemical pregnancy but not the failed cycle. But maybe I just have bad posture 😏 Occasional boob tenderness but nothing much by way of cramps or twinges.

I have no idea and it's blimmin' hard.

@Guio yeah I think you're right, my stomach is starting to feel a bit sore now, I've done 3 injections today, my stomach doesn't have that much space on it!

@LillyLeaf 3 injections poor you!I have to do 2 but as you said there isn't space anymore and I don't want to go very far from the belly button

Clinic just called to say they are about to defrost the embryo. My transfer is at 12.30 but I was up during the night vomiting like the Exorcist! I'm going to have to go on my own as DH will be staying at home with DS so feeling a bit nervous (not to mention worried I puke!)

Is anyone feeling exhausted doing stims? I'm so very tired today I'm not sure I'll make it to the end of the day.

I just had my egg collection and didn't get any eggs. I can't believe it. I'm devastated. Has anybody had this happen?

@Cariad82 I’m so sorry!! You must be so upset. They say it does happen sometimes. What will your next steps be donyou have any frozen embryos in the bank?

People doing injections, if you are finding they hurt a bit ... on my last cycle I bought some emla cream from the chemist. You put it in about 30mins before the injection and then as a little extra help thing at the last minute frozen peas for a couple of mins. I found it really took the edge off :)

I went for a consulatatuon yesterday, my first transfer will be delayed because of Christmas!!! Can’t beilve it 52 weeks in the year and mine falls on this time. It’s only a week so not the end of the world but it means it will be 2019!! So 5 weeks from today.

I still can’t drcide between doing 1 embryo transfer or 2. We only have 4 to use from 2 cycles so I’m worried about using them up too quickly although I don’t know if you can think like that ...

No none in the freezer. This was my fist cycle. Have to wait 2 weeks for a consultation now to try and figure out what went so wrong. My FSH and AMH were ok for my age so nothing pointed to me being an obvious poor responder. I only had 2 follicles after 10 days of 450 of menopur. Feels like a bad dream.
