Hi everyone, just had my first down regulation injection this morning with a scan booked for next Thursday. This will be the transfer of my remaining embryo. I had a little boy last year via ICSI so I know I've been very lucky already.

Anyone else starting now?

@CautiousOptimist fingers crossed for Friday. Hope the nerves hold out.

@Beetroot01 that looks promising. I'm 8dp5dt tomorrow and I sort of want to test but I hate Pg tests and they make me stressed. But I don't have long to wait.

I think my clinic continues the pessaries until 7 weeks Pg. Which actually terri

I have been frantically googling everything! Every cramp, twinge, it's on my mind constantly. I'm very busy at work but finding it hard to concentrate.

Hope you're all coping.

Wesstywoo · 18/12/2018 19:43

My clinic aren't doing a blood test but I have to carry on with the pessaries until 7 weeks. I think they are irritating me a bit and causing spotting. Will speak to the clinic about it on Fri when I give them my OTD result

Wesstywoo · 18/12/2018 19:45

Maybe that's why I'm having to wait so long for my OTD compared to you ladies, I'm not having a blood test

LillyLeaf · 18/12/2018 22:18

I don't know what to do... Should I do a home test on the morning of my blood test? It will only be 9dp5dt (ET as day 0), is this too early? Just to give myself a heads up for the result otherwise I'll have to wait the whole day for the result. I'll get a call while at work, then I'll have to call DP and tell him (I'm expecting a negative result so I'll feel terrible telling him), then go back to my desk and pretend everything is fine. I also mentioned below that I don't like testing, I've only done twice the whole time ttc. I just don't know what to do. Also on that morning I will need to leave early for my appointment so there won't be much time to let in sink in at home.

Guio · 18/12/2018 22:26

@LillyLeaf is it on Thursday or tomorrow? If I were you I would do a test at home in the morning.I wish you luck!@Wesstywoo my clinic as well 7 weeks with progesterone but mine is normally low and it really worries me to stop that early. Some women take it until 12 weeks pregnant...

LillyLeaf · 18/12/2018 23:07

@Guio OTD is Thursday at only 9dp5dt but just for a blood test. I stupidly looked on Instagram and people do seem to get a visible line at 9dp5dt. It was easier ttc naturally when I would just wait for AF to show, but this is hard.

Wesstywoo · 19/12/2018 06:08

@LillyLeaf how about using a FRER as they are the most sensitive? I used one at lunchtime on Monday and Monday evening (10dp5dt) and I got a fairly strong positive on both. Used a Waitrose cheapie (£3.72 for 2!) last night and this morning and they were v faint positives but those tests are not as sensitive. Have to say though I still don't believe the result at this stage - I might actually ask for a blood test

Russkispy · 19/12/2018 08:45

@Beetroot01 I can see the line too! Congratulations!
@LillyLeaf good luck with the test! Fingers crossed for you!
AF arrived yesterday. And trying to work out what and when to do next. Yet to hear from the doctor. Might skip the next cycle for IVF as my dad is coming to visit us here. Or maybe I'll still fly home for ivf. I don't know. Life doesn't stop here and I must get going with other things in life, in the meantime. And just very grateful for having my precious DD

Beetroot01 · 19/12/2018 11:00

@Lillyleaf I used Boots tests but more expensive and more sensitive ones. It was about £8-9 for 2 tests and did a test in midday.
You are only one day behind me with ET ;)

jemimafuddleduck · 19/12/2018 11:12

Call from the embryologist this morning - 8 out of the original 12 fertilised but 3 of those were abnormal. We are left with 5 top quality (AB grade) embryos today (day 2). The embryologist seemed positive and I guess it's a good number, but for some reason I feel a bit despondent? What did you all have at this stage? Is this a good situation to be in?

LillyLeaf · 19/12/2018 11:41

@jemimafuddleduck 5 is a great number, don't focus on the ones that didn't make it, just think about those 5.

I think I will test in the morning, scary.

jemimafuddleduck · 19/12/2018 11:54

Thanks @LillyLeaf , good luck for tomorrow x

LillyLeaf · 20/12/2018 07:35

Got my first ever BFP this morning, I'm in shock, I had completely expected it not to work. It feels very surreal. On my way for the blood test now, hopefully that looks good too. 🤞

Wesstywoo · 20/12/2018 07:58

Great news @LillyLeaf! Congrats. Fingers crossed for your blood test!

Wesstywoo · 20/12/2018 08:01

It's been a tough 24 hours for me - have been bleeding and cramping but still testing positive. I think perhaps it's a chemical. Going to give the clinic a call later for advice

Russkispy · 20/12/2018 08:01

@LillyLeaf fantastic news! Congratulations!

Russkispy · 20/12/2018 08:19

@Wesstywoo sorry to hear it. Hope all is not lost!

LillyLeaf · 20/12/2018 08:22

@Wesstywoo that's so hard, I know it can be 'normal' to bleed but I understand this is very difficult.

jemimafuddleduck · 20/12/2018 11:23

@LillyLeaf aaaahhhhh!!! Amazing news!!! Congratulations!

@Wesstywoo let us know what the clinic says - good luck xx

The update today (day 3) is that we still have 5 top quality embryos 😁 transfer likely to be Saturday now.

Wesstywoo · 20/12/2018 11:35

Thanks ladies. They couldn't really help, they just said to test again tomorrow and to continue with pessaries. Gone sick from work to rest up and it is a lot lighter than yesterday now. Laying flat with Netflix to keep me entertained!

5 is great @jemimafuddleduck!

Guio · 20/12/2018 12:45

@Wesstywoo I hope everything is ok!I read it is quite normal as well to bleed.I have a lot of cramping today and I was worried but no bleed though.fingera crossed for you.Congratulations @LillyLeaf

LillyLeaf · 20/12/2018 15:28

Blood test has confirmed it's positive, I just can't believe it.

Russkispy · 20/12/2018 15:38

@LillyLeaf congratulations! Just try to take it easy and no overthinking! Here's to healthy 9 months!!

Russkispy · 20/12/2018 15:39
