Hi everyone, just had my first down regulation injection this morning with a scan booked for next Thursday. This will be the transfer of my remaining embryo. I had a little boy last year via ICSI so I know I've been very lucky already.

Anyone else starting now?

@Guio huge congratulations!!! So pleased for you.

@Russkispy I'm so sorry to hear that, this process is so tough x

@Wesstywoo fingers crossed for you!

DH has just messaged to say he has "dropped the boys off" so now I just wait to see how my donor got on with her EC 🤞

Russkispy · 17/12/2018 15:44

Thank you lovely ladies! Waiting for AF to fully start. And after it's gone then a shagathon time! Haha and if that won't work, then will start IVF again and will fly home from day 1 of injections, so I'm under full observation of my doctor. Till ET.

@jemimafuddleduck fingers crossed!

Embryologist just called - we have 12 eggs! Which is more than I thought we'd get!!

They will let us know on Wednesday how many have fertilised.

He has sprung on us quite last minute that we can have embryo time lapse (but have to pay of course!)

Has anyone else had this? What did you think of it?

Cantrip · 17/12/2018 16:00

@jemimafuddleduck - we had caremaps (which I think is just the Care Fertility term for time lapse footage). Hard to know what difference it makes, but I liked the idea that it meant the embryos heeded less “messing with”.
We had 9 eggs at collection (last Monday), all 9 were mature and all 9 fertilised. They all continued to develop til day 5, when I had a transfer of hatching blast. 3 more blasts frozen. The remaining 5 were discarded on day 6 as although they’d become blastocysts, the quality wasn’t as good.
I don’t know if that helps - obviously having the time lapse imaging doesn’t affect the eggs - but it definitely Italy helped the embryologist decide which was the best blast for day 5.

Wesstywoo · 17/12/2018 18:42

Ok so I caved and tested - it was a BFP! But I'm not sure I trust the result because my OTD is not until Friday. Is it possible that it's a false positive? I used a FRER 10dp5dt

Great number @jemimafuddleduck!

Russkispy · 17/12/2018 18:46

@Wesstywoo tentative congratulations! I'm sure it will be BFP when testing on your OTD!

Beetroot01 · 17/12/2018 19:32

@Guio congratulations!!!!

Beetroot01 · 17/12/2018 19:33

@Wesstywoo congratulations!!!!

jemimafuddleduck · 17/12/2018 19:34

Ahhh @Wesstywoo CONGRATULATIONS!! Are you now going to be testing every day until OTD? I think at 10dp5dt it should be an accurate result.

Thanks @Cantrip - we have decided to go for it. The clinic have offered us 50% off the price as they sprung it on us so last minute and we just thought at least we know we're doing everything we can... fingers crossed for Wednesday when we find out how many have fertilised. Such great news that all of yours fertilised!

Wesstywoo · 17/12/2018 19:50

Thanks everyone - I don't think I will fully believe it until Fri but I did do 2 tests a few hours apart. Suppose I should have saved one for tomorrow and used morning wee!

I think I will wait until Wednesday to do another one @jemimafuddleduck the tests are so expensive! Half price time lapse sounds great btw! I would have had it if we had more embryos but we only had 3

LillyLeaf · 17/12/2018 21:08

@Russkispy so sorry, it's bloody hard.

@jemimafuddleduck that's great news. We had time lapse, it was included in our package, I have no idea if it helped but we did get 5 embryos from 6 fertilised (8eggs).

@Wesstywoo that's fantastic, congratulations and fingers crossed for OTD.

I've felt pretty down today, I think because OTD is getting closer. The thought of ringing DP and telling him it hasn't worked makes me feel sick.

jemimafuddleduck · 17/12/2018 21:24

@Wesstywoo yeah they aren't cheap are they?!

Yeah 50% off swung it for us 🤣 although I'm quite impressed with myself that I had the presence of mind to ask! I was a bit shocked when they mentioned the option of having it so late in the day - with a decision needed by tomorrow morning. But we will get a little film of our embryo developing, and I'm sure that if that becomes our baby it will be priceless.

@LillyLeaf that's a really good result! How many do you have on ice now? And sending you positive vibes - it will be a good phone call on Friday!! X

Guio · 17/12/2018 22:15

@Wesstywoo congratulations!mine was at 10dp 5dt with frer and I think is a good time to confirm pregnancy!I had my beta today which confirmed it but I will have the second one on Wednesday.If we didn't have enough with ivf now pregnancy anxiety,this is endless!

CautiousOptimist · 18/12/2018 12:19

Hi ladies, wow I’ve been offline a few days and have missed lots of news.

Russkispy I’m so sorry to hear this, I hope you get your BFP very soon.

Wesstywoo and Guio fantastic news, how exciting! All the best of luck over the next weeks and months.

I’m nearly 7 weeks pregnant now and have an early scan at my clinic on Friday to see if there’s a heartbeat. I have very few symptoms (aside from occasional tingly boobs and not being able to sit down for 10 mins without nodding off) and am very nervous but excited too.

Lots of luck to those waiting for ET and test dates.

Beetroot01 · 18/12/2018 15:30

Very happy for you @Cautiousoptimist.
I've been impatient and tested today. Can you tell me ladies, am I imagining things or there is faint line in test?

November/December IVF/ICSI/FET
Cantrip · 18/12/2018 15:47

@beetroot01 I can definitely see a faint line x

CautiousOptimist · 18/12/2018 15:53

I can see one Beetroot01, fingers crossed for you!

jemimafuddleduck · 18/12/2018 16:09

@Beetroot01 I can see one too! Yay! Hw many dpt are you?

Beetroot01 · 18/12/2018 17:05

Thanks everyone

Wesstywoo · 18/12/2018 17:07

How exciting @CautiousOptimist! Good luck for friday!

I can see a faint line @Beetroot01! Fingers crossed for you xx

Guio · 18/12/2018 17:31

@Beetroot01 I can see it as well!I am having my second beta tomorrow to reassure.Are you ladies having it as well?,a little worried as well as I won't be in the pessaries long,my clinic stops them once you are pregnant,is that normal?

jemimafuddleduck · 18/12/2018 17:45

@Guio mine continue the pessaries if you are pregnant but I guess every clinic and person is different? Good luck tomorrow!

Beetroot01 · 18/12/2018 17:50

@Guio my clinic is doing my blood test to find out the result because if I am pregnant I need more pessaries. But like jemimafuddleduck said, every clinic and every person is different x
