Hi everyone, just had my first down regulation injection this morning with a scan booked for next Thursday. This will be the transfer of my remaining embryo. I had a little boy last year via ICSI so I know I've been very lucky already.

Anyone else starting now?

@LillyLeaf I agree, it's so hard fitting a fresh cycle around work! I guess you'll find out properly what's going on, and ultimately they will work hard to make sure you're not at risk and keep you on track for a transfer in a few days

Clinic called and 3 out of the 4 have fertilised

Great news @Westywoo! Are you doing icsi?

Thanks @AmyK18 we are not doing ICSI so I was surprised that many fertilised. Fingers crossed at least one makes it to Saturday.

I am feeling so anxious it's been 4 days since ET and I don't really have symptoms. The clinic did tell me I probably won't but I'm just think it might mean it hasn't worked xx

Hang in there @Josie789 it's still very early days so it's probably a bit too early to have symptoms yet xx

@Josie789 any symptoms are genuinely from the progesterone. I've had two cycles one with barely symptoms and one with them all and neither I was pregnant. Most people who have done this will tell you that the "symptoms" don't mean anything. When did your clinic advise you to do a test?

EC finished. 5 eggs out of 7 follicles. The doc says 3 of them are of good quality, 2 not so much. Next couple of days will tell us all. ET scheduled for Saturday.
@Josie789 , after my 2 successful IUI I didn't have any symptoms at all and was surprised when got BFP! hold out till Monday if you can.
How's everyone else doing?!

Hi @Josie789 it's such a difficult wait isn't it! No reason, it's just the stats of IVF unfortunately most will fail. Sorry, really don't mean to be negative here, I guess what I'm saying is that it's okay either way to have symptoms or not, ultimately it will just be that test that tells you the result on the day and everything else is just designed to drive us mad in the meantime!

Good luck for next few days @russkisspy. I hated waiting for all those calls.

It's so frustrating @stilllikeairlrise that u can go through all this and it doesn't work for no reason. I had a scratch this time the consultant thinks it may help.... Xx

Guys I’m going to be 6/7 weeks between my scratch and my first ET. Will it have lost its effect by then??

Hi @Wesstywoo good news!my transfer will be this Saturday as well so fingers crossed! Are you having 5 day blast?I got 16 so I am hoping that one makes to that day!@Russkispy fingers crossed for you as well.mu next call will be on Thursday.

@Guio 16 - great news! My ET will be on Saturday too all being well. My next call is also on Thursday

@Wesstywoo do you know what happens if on Thursday they are not good enough?my clinic does 3 days transfers but we will miss the window if that is the case as Thursday will be day 4.

@guio my clinic said EC day is day 0 so today is day 1 and Thursday will be day 3

@Josie789 ok thanks I had a sudden panick! I had my scratch during my EC so felt like I was slightly pushing it timing wise anyway and now I have a bit of a delay due to bloody Christmas so the combo makes the gap quite big!

How long has the gap been for anyone else that has had a scratch?

@Wesstywoo yes that is right but they called me to say I will go straight to 5 day transfer and I was wondering what happens if they don't get to that date.Sorry I am very negative...did they offer you a 3 day one?

@guio they said is perfectly ok to transfer a day 3 embryo but statistically the embryos only have 25% chance of implantation at that stage. That raises to a 50% chance of impantation for a day 5 embryo. That is because the ones that are unlikely to implant wouldn't have made it to day 5 anyway so by waiting until day 5 you are making sure you are transferring the best one(s). So it depends on how many you have at day 3 and how they are looking, if they aren't doing so well and you dont have many then they may transfer on day 3 (as they are happiest in the body), if you have a lot and they are doing well they will wait until day 5 so as you have so many they are probably thinking a day 5 transfer will be better. With 3 they are hopeful I will reach Saturday but all depends on how things are doing on Thursday

Shit I'm triggering tonight! EC on Thursday! I was actually quite happy injecting every night, I feel like it's got very feel now! Trying not to freak out.
