Hi ladies!

Round 2 down regulation has just started. Embryo transfer should be 1/2 November. Going for 2 embryos this time.

Anyone else just starting a round? x

fingersxs really hoping you get a good result, it's so stressful waiting isn't it. I did a frozen transfer last month that ended in a chemical pregnancy at 16dpo which was pretty rubbish. We had 5 frosties (pgd tested), used one last month so have 4 more goes left. Hoping not to have to use them all!

Guio · 26/10/2018 11:53

@FingersXssd83 I hope everything goes well and you get good news on Saturday! I am getting my medicines delivered next Wednesday but I won't start to inject for 2 weeks.Do they need to be storage in a particular way before opening them?I will inject for 20 days 😓 buserelin and menopur.

FingersXssd83 · 26/10/2018 12:10

Had a call from the embryologist, we have 2 x grade one (top quality) embryos that are dividing slowly and 1x grade two-three that is showing a little fragmentation. We'll know tomorrow morning whether we're having our transfer Sat or Monday. Hopefully our two top quality embies will catch up and get to day five blastos but tbh I want them to pop them all in tomorrow and see what happens. We're a long way off yet but thanks for all of your well wishes and positivity, I've hugely appreciated everyone's comments and for you helping me to get through what has been an awful 24 hours. I asked the embryologist of we're in with a shot and he said we were

@Guio Menopur has to be kept in the fridge but one mixed you can keep room temp for 28 days. Not sure about the other med

Xxx

Vida81 · 26/10/2018 18:06

FingersXssd83 Very good news! My fingers are crossed for you. In my clinic won't tell me until tomorrow... can't wait. Go embryos!😄xx

Flutterby7 · 26/10/2018 19:44

That’s great news @FingersXssd83. Hoping your transfer goes well.
Fingers crossed for your embryos too Vida81! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I’m on stimulation drugs and feeling great. Whoever it was that said they felt like superwoman I can totally relate to. I feel so much better than a few days ago! Feel like I could run a marathon. 😀

BlueSarah · 26/10/2018 20:20

Just did my first menopur injection. Had a bit of a cry before hand but it was absolutely fine! Happy Friday everyone xxx

Flutterby7 · 26/10/2018 22:28

@BlueSarah well done!! 👏🏻👏🏻
We’ve all had a cry! Xx

FingersXssd83 · 27/10/2018 09:46

Just had our day three update and our three little embabies are going strong!

On day two we had 2 x grade ones (top quality) at 2 and 3 cell and 1 x grade two-three with 4 cells.

Day three we have 2 x grade one-two with 5 and 8 cells and 1 x grade 2 with 6 cells.

They've said we can go to a day five transfer which I was not expecting. I actually feel for the first time that we're in with a chance. Can't believe it after a low fertilisation rate!!!

I hope everyone else has a positive day today 😊 xxx

Flutterby7 · 27/10/2018 10:42

@FingersXssd83 that is great news!! 😊

orangefolly · 27/10/2018 10:53

That's great news FingersXssd! Really pleased for you.

Flutterby that was me Grin glad you're feeling great!

I've been doing the classic convincing myself I'm pregnant before my cycle starts, but two snowy white preg tests disagree with me so it's clearly just pre-IVF nerves messing with my brain! I think I've been particularly hopeful because they say you are more fertile post-mc but it obviously isn't a given!

Vida81 · 27/10/2018 15:36

FingersXssd83 very good news for you. Ours aren't that promesing atm Sad they don't use grades at our clinic but they said that out of our 5 embryos, we got 2 with less than 5 cels, and the other 3 with just 5 cels. Hopefully one will be ok for Monday. Good luck! Xx

FingersXssd83 · 27/10/2018 17:06

@Vida81 I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling disheartened today. You have 5 embies there that will grow each day until transfer, so it sounds like you're in with a great shot. If not then they would have transferred you today. Our embryologist wasn't concerned about our 5 cell embryo so that must count for something. I've learned through IVF that numbers can be disappointed and things can change very quickly. I'm rooting for your little ones and wishing you good luck! xxx

PlayingPositive · 28/10/2018 07:28

Hi everyone,

Day 7 of buserelin injections today and another 9 to go before my baseline scan, feels like such a long wait to see if I'm ready for stims! @flutterby7 it was just viral and I'm recovered from the cold now. I've been feeling low and depressed for the last day and keep on snapping at the hubby. Hope that doesn't last! Just started my period so I guess that's a sign the injections are working.

@fingersxdd & @vida81 great you hear your embies are doing well and hopefully you will have your egg transfer soon. It's such a nervewrecking journey all along the way and i think you ladies are doing great.

Have a great day everyone x

Guio · 28/10/2018 09:03

Good morning everyone, I was reading through all my apps and I noticed that I don't have any scanned booked between starting buserelin and menopur.I will inject for 12 days (7 buserelin alone and adding menopur the 8 day)before going to the scan.is that normal?sorry I know I need to trust the clinic but I expected more scans between injections.I will only have them when stimulating consecutively.

BeaCat · 28/10/2018 09:59

Hey @Guio I'm on the same meds and protocol as you, just started Injections on Friday. Yes I think you need your scan before you start Menopur. I was also told they would show me how to do the Menopur injections when I have the scan as they are different. Maybe call them to check?

BeaCat · 28/10/2018 10:08

@Guio just re read your message and I'm doing the buserelin injections for longer than you but even so would imagine you would still need the scan.

Flutterby7 · 28/10/2018 11:17

@PlayingPositive I totally know how you feel about the feeling low and snappy part. Wait til you go into the stimulation drugs they make you feel much better!!
OrangeFolly I’ve done so many in the past!
@Guio as Beacat said maybe call and check. I was on Buserelin only for 20 days before I had a scan. But then did have a scab before I started stimulation drugs. It really does seem that everyone of us is doing slightly different things and I’m sure that’s because we are all slightly different so I’m sure your clinic will have sorted the best protocol for you but check to make yourself feel more confident.

FingersXssd83 and Vida81 thinking of you both over the next couple of days and sending positive vibes xx

Guio · 28/10/2018 12:08

Thanks all!I have an app before starting buserelin to show me how to inject so I will check with them as it seems that only 4 scans for the whole treatment doesn't seem much.Yea I guess every clinic has different ways of doing things...@BeaCat it could be that I am in buserelin for less time because I am in the pill at the moment?do you need to carry on with buserelin once you start menopur as well?x

StillLikeAirIRise · 28/10/2018 13:56

Hi ladies,

Can I join? Just been told today that we can have a FET this month after a failed fresh cycle last month. Following a consult with the embryologist on Friday, we were told there was no clinic availability before January due to the Xmas leave schedules which was devastating to hear but the clinic have agreed today I can start. So I've wiped my tears and taken the oestradil tablet as instructed. No injections this time, just tablets x3 a day until the scan on the 8th November to check my uterus lining and provisional ET on the 16th November.

I'm relieved to start but dreading it probably in equal parts

StillLikeAirIRise · 28/10/2018 16:05

Catren I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, best of luck for the transfer 🤞

BlueSarah · 28/10/2018 18:43

@FingersXssd83 that's great news! Does that mean you'll be transferring on Monday? @Vida81 like others have said things can change quickly so don't lose hope. @PlayingPositive it feels like a long process in the beginning but before you know it you'll be onto stims and counting down the days to egg collection.
I'm on day 19 of Buserelin, day 3 of stims. This will be my last "calm" week. If all has gone to plan EC will be the following week, ET the week after. Wonderful and terrifying at the same time Confused

Flutterby7 · 28/10/2018 19:07

StillLikeAirIRise Good luck with it all!!

BlueSarah I think we are at about the same stage.

BeaCat · 28/10/2018 21:03

@Guio I wasn't on anything before starting my injections on day 21. Yes I have to do both injections once I start on Menopur, oh the joys! When do you start?

Guio · 28/10/2018 22:40

@BeaCat still on the pill so I will start buserelin in 2 weeks.I hope the time flies as I hate waiting!I hope Everything goes well for you, keep us updated.

Catren · 28/10/2018 23:14

Thanks still sorry to see you back here, hope this cycle is the lucky one 😊

I'm just back after my transfer, starting clexane tonight and i guess will do my first poas on the weekend. Definitely feeling less excited this time round, and know that a bfp doesn't guarantee a pregnancy and baby, but i have to know either way i think.
