Hi ladies!

Round 2 down regulation has just started. Embryo transfer should be 1/2 November. Going for 2 embryos this time.

Anyone else just starting a round? x

BFN :( it’s so annoying when you feel like you’ve felt stuff happening and then nothing. Do you think it matter that I put it in a glass at 5:30 and only tested at 7:50? I can’t imagine it would

Langpants · 10/11/2018 08:04

@sarahthewiganer - don't forget 8dp5dt is still early. People sometimes only get a faint positive at 11dp5dt!
Also - my FMU isn't as strong as my afternoon wee, so maybe it's the same for you? Try and hold out until tomorrow morning/ afternoon and try again?
Don't lose hope just yet. xx

sarahthewiganer · 10/11/2018 08:55

@langpants, my wee is always more concentrated in the morning, but actually I may try tomorrow morning and afternoon just in case.

Langpants · 10/11/2018 09:11

That sounds like a plan. You know your own body. I’ve got everything crossed for you. Xx

BlueSarah · 10/11/2018 14:24

@Flutterby7 hope your transfer goes well today, I know you were worried about the number of quality embryos in the beginning so great to hear some have made it to day 5 xx
@Langspants congratulations on your line! Hope it continues to darken for you over the coming days xx
@sarahthewiganer my clinic has said to test 16 days after egg collection so 11dp5dt so there is still a chance xx

Flutterby7 · 10/11/2018 14:48

@BlueSarah thank you. All done and we had one that had made it to early blastocyst so we have a good start. Now it’s the waiting game to see if it implants or not.
Let us know the outcome of your phone all tomorrow.

@sarahthewiganer sorry you got a BFN. Sad

sarahthewiganer · 10/11/2018 14:58

Thanks guys. I’m praying for a faint line tomorrow. But resigning myself to starting again. This time we will have to pay. Gonna check out access fertility. And then consider whether to stay at our clinic (fertility fusion) or swap and consider (care bolton) or maybe even go abroad.

Langpants · 10/11/2018 16:54

Thanks @BlueSarah xx

1 week done on norethindrone, 1 more week to go ..... One thing I've learnt during infertility is patience (although I haven't quite perfected it yet). Have a nice Sunday.

BlueSarah · 11/11/2018 14:49

So some good news today - of my 16 eggs: 14 were mature enough, 13 fertilised successfully with ICSI and 12 have started to develop. Can't believe it's going so well! Just waiting for the phone call where it all comes crashing down.

HavelockVetinari · 11/11/2018 15:14

@BlueSarah that's brilliant news! Hurrah!

@sarahthewigganer I didn't get my BFP till 10dp5dt and he's 15 months old and currently pulling all the DVDs off the shelf and making an enormous mess. Don't give up hope yet!

Flutterby7 · 11/11/2018 15:42

@BlueSarah wow that’s amazing news!! Xx

twodogsonecatnobaby · 11/11/2018 17:41

That's fantastic news @BlueSarah! 12 developing is bloody brilliant!

sarahthewiganer · 11/11/2018 18:04

Reallly @HavelockVetinari ?? I've scoured boards and I know it's quite rare for bfps this late to work but that's great news. I will hold out a little hope.
Thankfully my others half's parents have offered to pay for our next round which is amazing!!

@sarahthewiganer my hospital is adamant not to test until 16dpo5dt. My reflexology lady said at a push no earlier than 12dpo5dt. I did however flout all advice and test at 5 days and consoled myself that the silver lining of the negative was that at least I know the trigger shot has left my system. I'm now attempting to sit on my hands until at least day 12 - I'm rationalising it that if I find out I'll only end up swapping one lot of angst (Am I / aren't I) with another (will it work out?). Good luck.

Trying2bemum · 11/11/2018 22:01

This test date thing worries me - my clinic make me test on 9dp5dt and if it's negative I stop all meds. It feels a bit early to me

ScienceTechie1 · 12/11/2018 07:34

Hi all, this is my first post! It sounds like a lot of you are further in the Ivf journey, and I'm crossing everything that you get that bfp.
I'm still trying to figure out all the acronyms on here!
We've been TTC for nearly 4 years, probably due to PCOS and not ovulating.
Just finished norethisterone and feeling very apprehensive about the injection stage. Hoping for egg collection around the 28th Nov. Xx

Langpants · 12/11/2018 07:49

Hi everyone

Got a negative this morning, so looks like it could have been a chemical pregnancy with all the faint positives. Official test day is Thurs but not likely to change now.

So crap going in to work. No holiday or sickness left to take.

So fed up of it all now. Going to come off the drugs end of this week and have a break. Focus on losing the weight that I've piled on as a result of the drugs.

Look forward to hearing everyone else's success stories. Xx

RedPandaFluff · 12/11/2018 08:20

Oh no @Langpants . . . that's so heartbreaking, I just had a chemical so I understand a little of how you feel. Those few days of excitement and hope, then the cruel realisation that it's not going to stick. It's awful. Even harder to deal with than a negative right from the start 😣

The only positive I could take from it (and I know how hard it is to find something good when it's just happened) is that your body did manage to let an embryo implant and start producing hcg. Apparently it's a good indicator of success for future cycles.

But yes, sounds like a break would be a good idea. I'm so sorry, Langpants x

sarahthewiganer · 12/11/2018 08:27

Oh no @langpants I’m so gutted for you! Chemical safe horrible, I swear they are worse than bfns because you totally get swept into the fantasy of pregnancy. And then it gets snatched away. I’m thinking of you xxx

HavelockVetinari · 12/11/2018 08:31

Oh no @Langpants that's awful - I've been there, it's heart breaking Sad

As @redpandafluff says it's a good indicator of later success that you managed to conceive, albeit briefly.

Thinking of you Flowers

FingersXssd83 · 12/11/2018 09:03

So sorry to hear that @Langpants, such a shitty situation. I hope with time you'll feel like you can try again. It's our official test day and have done our pipette test and BFN for us. Going to call Care shortly with the news.

LillyLeaf · 12/11/2018 09:04

@Langpants I'm so sorry, it's so crap. Be kind to yourself.

LillyLeaf · 12/11/2018 09:06

@FingersXssd83 I'm sorry, why is this so hard? Do you think you'll try again soon?
