Hi ladies!

Round 2 down regulation has just started. Embryo transfer should be 1/2 November. Going for 2 embryos this time.

Anyone else just starting a round? x

Sorry to hear that @HavelockVetinari, bloody sucks, good that you've got the next cycle sorted, you don't mess about!

I had my first scan today, the lining is thin, only 4.4mm and there's only a total of six follicles showing, all less than 1 mm atm. EC planned for the 19th. Waiting to hear if my meds need to increase.

Good luck to everyone x

twodogsonecatnobaby · 09/11/2018 12:56

Congrats @BlueSarah, 16 eggs is fantastic! X

Flutterby7 · 09/11/2018 14:06

So sorry to everyone with a BFN. It sucks.
Rest up for the weekend @BlueSarah. Fingers crossed you get a good bunch of embryos!

I’m booked in for my transfer tomorrow morning. We have 2 good quality embryos that we are hoping will make it to blastocyst stage tomorrow

Have a good weekend everyone

TinyPaws · 09/11/2018 14:35

@sarahthewiganer How are you coping with the 2WW? When is your official test date?

@twodogsonecatnobaby How are your follicles doing? Any idea when egg collection will be? I have thyroid issues too, my hormone levels are good currently without medication but my antibody levels were sky high when tested a couple of months ago.

@Tryingtobemum Sorry the embryos weren't the best quality, here's hoping at least one of them has what it takes to grow into a healthy baby.

@Langpants Hope the 2WW is passing as quickly as possible for you.

@Flutterby7 So glad both embryos are still developing and look to be good quality! Good luck for the transfer!

@PlayingPositive Sorry your baseline scan didn't go as hoped, hope you are coping with the buserelin side effects, they are horrible!

@Vida81 @FingersXssd83 @Catren @HavelockVetinari So sorry for the BFNs. Sad

@BlueSarah Glad egg collection went well!

Sorry to everyone I haven't mentioned, I'm not on mumsnet super often and struggling to keep up with this busy thread! I'm reading everything but rarely get a change to respond.

As for me, I had a successful down regulation scan yesterday, lining 2.1mm and ovaries quiet (multiple antral follicles visible on the right, not much happening on the left, starting to suspect my left ovary is damaged in some way as it wasn't much use in any of my 3 stimulated IUIs either). Started stims yesterday and today I'm feeling 1000% better, I can't quite believe how bad the buserelin made me feel!

twodogsonecatnobaby · 09/11/2018 15:16

Egg collection planned for the 19th. Follicles not responding great at the moment, only 3 in each ovary on the scan and all under 1mm, but no increase in meds yet, waiting for Monday's scan.

Good luck with the stims @TinyPaws

HavelockVetinari · 09/11/2018 15:50

@twodogsonecatnobaby are you NHS or private? In my experience the NHS are very stingy with expensive stim drugs and do anything possible to avoid prescribing more. My first cycle (NHS) I only got 7 eggs - my private consultant looked through my notes and was surprised I wasn't given more stims given my scan and blood test results.

Great news on the blasts @Flutterby7 let us know what happens. Will you have 1 or 2 transferred?

twodogsonecatnobaby · 09/11/2018 16:11

@HavelockVetinari I'm private, nhs wouldn't treat me with ivf until I'd been with my doctors surgery for at least 3 years, we moved house 2 years ago. It's a Local community care group rule. I'm on 225 gonal f and 150 menupur nightly. They're hoping to see more of a response on Monday. If not the meds increase.

Trying2bemum · 09/11/2018 16:26

Sorry to hear that @HavelockVetinari wishing you much better luck next time

Thanks @TinyPaws glad you're off the buserlin. I generally feel okay on stims - just tired and progressively bloated.

we ended up with an okay blast and a compacting morula so transferred them both. I've come down with a cold, my boobs are sore and heavy and I've been cramping on and off all week but not reading into anything. It's our third fresh transfer and I'd be amazed if it's anything other than another BFN.

Langpants · 09/11/2018 16:34

Thank you @TinyPaws 💕xx

Been getting faint lines for the last 3 days and it’s only gotten slightly lighter. Is this a bad sign? I’m only on 9DP5DT today and supposed to test next Thurs. Hoping it gets darker. Not got a BFP before. Xx

@HavelockVetinari thanks. If both make it to blast then we will have one frozen. We don’t know if both will get there yet so just going to wait and see tomorrow what they say. It will be a fantastic result to get one to blast so just hoping for at least that 🤞🏻

HavelockVetinari · 09/11/2018 17:28

You're in my prayers @Flutterby7, my granny reckons a candle lit at remembrance Sunday Mass carries more weight than ordinary Sundays so we'll try it and see!

@Langpants a line is a line, don't drive yourself insane worrying about definition. I did that with DS and he was absolutely fine.

orangefolly · 09/11/2018 17:33

Fingers crossed for you langpants - I can see a line. Did you do a trigger shot with this cycle? I think HCG can show from that if you test too early, so maybe just try to hold off testing for another couple of days? Wishing you all the luck!

Flutterby7 · 09/11/2018 17:38

@HavelockVetinari thank you.
Ok! I will try that. 😊

Hoping it’s a good result @langpants

Langpants · 09/11/2018 17:52

Thanks so much everyone. I did a frozen medicated cycle with no HCH Shot. Xx

Hey! My official test date is tues 13th. But I tested this morning 7dp5dt and it was BfN. I hoping that it’s like last time and I get a faint line tomorrow. If not I’ll be gutted.
Also I have thyroid antibodies. I’m on 75mg a day of levothyroxine xx

sarahthewiganer · 09/11/2018 18:21

This was a reply to @tinypaws. Xx

sarahthewiganer · 09/11/2018 18:22

@langpants the first time you get a bfp is an unbelievable feeling isn’t it!

Fingers crossed for us all xxx

Langpants · 09/11/2018 18:27

It is amazing! @sarahthewiganer - just feel doubtful as the lines are so faint. But they are definite lines. 🧐x

sarahthewiganer · 09/11/2018 21:50

My fella just found my bfn sticks and is angry I’ve done them and that I lied about it. But he hates me doing them early and I can’t help it. I feel bad. I think he wanted the special moment of us doing it together tomorrow morning. But I kept reading about everyone getting bfp at 6dp5dt that I just wanted to see. :(

Flutterby7 · 09/11/2018 22:22

@sarahthewiganer oh dear 😬 it’s hard for the partners as they want to be involved I think as much as they can. But at the same time as much as they try to understand and be by our sides it is hard for them to completely understand how it feels during this whole process. X

sarahthewiganer · 10/11/2018 05:53

Yeh @flutterby I did try to explain but he didn’t get it. Anyway because I keep waking up at 5am for a wee I’ve left my pee in a glass in the sink with a test. So he can do it when he wakes up. I hope it’s positive! Today I’ll be 8dp5dt. It’s now or never right!

Langpants · 10/11/2018 05:59

@sarahthewiganer - I have everything crossed for you guys!
My other half got a little annoyed with me too as he asked me not to test before otd... he's said not to test again until Thursday. Yeah right, like I'm going to be able to stop now!

Please let us know what your results are. Praying for a positive for you! x
