Hi ladies!

Round 2 down regulation has just started. Embryo transfer should be 1/2 November. Going for 2 embryos this time.

Anyone else just starting a round? x

The numbers dropping like that is so hard to stomach @Flutterby7 but not unusual at all - that's IVF for you. Fingers crossed for a good transfer for you xx

Best of luck to you TWW ers.

Flutterby7 · 06/11/2018 14:57

@Trying2bemum thank you!
Good luck to you for the next couple of weeks wait xx

Botanica · 06/11/2018 15:36

Good luck @Flutterby7
I've been there with hardly any embryos and it's such a stressful wait. Way way worse than rounds where I've had more.

The very real chance of having nothing left to even transfer (what happened to me on last round) is soul destroying. To not even have a chance at pregnancy after everything you've been through is devastating.

Wishing you lots of luck over the coming days x

PlayingPositive · 06/11/2018 16:23

@HavelockVetinari - The doc just said my ovaries looked fine and too early to count follicles. She didn't seem too concerned about it tbh - I was just really disappointed.

I hope your TWW goes smoothly. :)

@Flutterby7 - I think each clinic is different isn't it? Maybe they are doing it earlier cause of my endo - they didn't give a reason. I hope I have another breakthrough bleeding as I guess that might help?

I can imagine your situation must be stressful, it's always the unknowns. I think you've got a great positive attitude though and have my fingers crossed for you!

I have processed the news from the morning now. In my panic I called the clinic to ask what might happen if the buserelin doesn't work after another week. A nurse called back and she was really not helpful. She just said 'oh they will see and they might cancel it'... 'I can't predict the future'. Like really? That does not help and is not comforting at all. Anyways, I know I am being sensitive about it and I guess the nurse was just telling the truth but it's really made me sad. I don't want to cancel this - I just got ready for it. Anyways will try not to catastrophize. What will happen, will happen.

Baby dust to all x

PlayingPositive · 06/11/2018 16:29

Has anyone had poor response to buserelin which meant they had to cancel the entire IVF cycle? I can't see why that may be the case? Surely they would give more meds to induce the a bleed/allow uterus to reabsorb the lining? Thanks all x

HavelockVetinari · 06/11/2018 19:52

@PlayingPositive apparently delayed supression does NOT lead to decreased outcomes for IVF (according to the latest research) so please don't worry!

BlueSarah · 06/11/2018 20:02

I was only on here yesterday, so much has happened! @Flutterby7 - fingers crossed for you, don't give up hope yet xx @PlayingPositive - hang in there, it is still early days xx

Vida81 · 07/11/2018 09:04

BFN for usSadfeeling sad and empty at first, but we will come back fighting as soon as we can.
Keep it up girls, we'll get a gorgeous baby one day, and if not we'll be happy with our lovely n supportive partners xx

HavelockVetinari · 07/11/2018 09:21

Oh Vida I'm so sorry Sad. Life is so bloody unfair. Flowers

orangefolly · 07/11/2018 09:24

Oh I'm so sorry @Vida81 Sad It bloody sucks. But glad you've got a supportive partner (and a great attitude). We are here if you feel like a rant x

FingersXssd83 · 07/11/2018 12:35

Really sorry to hear that @Vida81 You've been so positive all the way through and I really hope you get back to your lovely upbeat self soon. I'm spotting today so I'm 99% getting a BFN too. Just want to get it out of the way now so we can start on our second cycle xxxx

orangefolly · 07/11/2018 13:11

Does anyone else struggle with the desire to be a total hermit when going through IVF?

I really don't want to socialise much... well, since our first round in April, really. I still do, but mainly motivated by guilt at the thought of saying no, and still wanting to be a fun wife for my husband and a good friend. We're supposed to be going to a gig tonight and I'm just dreading it.

BlueSarah · 07/11/2018 13:15

So sorry @Vida81 it's just so rubbish, I hope you are able to give it another try when you're ready xxx

I am triggering tonight, EC Friday morning. Feeling slightly emotional and terrified atm.

Beetroot01 · 07/11/2018 15:22

So sorry to hear @Vida :(
Good luck to the other ladies xxx
I am very grumpy lately and keep snaping on my DH but I am also tired in general so its not helping. I am on my period atm and the other day I was thinking that if everything will go well with bfp at the end, so this could be my last period in a while Shock

Flutterby7 · 07/11/2018 18:03

@Vida81 really sorry to hear your news. 😢
I hope you get back fighting soon. Xx

Flutterby7 · 07/11/2018 18:05

@orangefolly thanks. Egg collection was Monday so I guess they are classed as 2 days now? Expecting a phone call tomorrow morning when they will give me an update.
Hoping they last until sat 🤞🏻

PlayingPositive · 07/11/2018 18:23

Just wanted to say really sorry to hear your news Vida81 - life is so unfair sometimes. I hope you will take care and be super kind to yourself. Hugs x

PlayingPositive · 07/11/2018 18:26

Havelock & Bluesarah- thanks for the support. I'm coping better today.

I hope everyone is coping well x

twodogsonecatnobaby · 07/11/2018 19:39

Sorry to hear yours news @Vida81. You sound so strong, I'm sure you'll come back fighting soon x

Vida81 · 07/11/2018 19:46

Thank you all for your kind words, really helped me today. Really hope your eggs and little embryos stay healthy. Stay strong, we are the real warriors Smile xxxxxxx

BeaCat · 07/11/2018 21:49

Very sorry to hear things didn't work out as you hoped @Vida81. Hopefully your positivity and partner will help you get through it. Wishing you the best for the future.

BeaCat · 07/11/2018 21:53

@Orangefolly I know how you feel about socialising, although I have been staying in quite a lot and now I'm beginning to get quite bored! It's not easy when you are trying to cut down on alcohol/sugar/caffeine which basically rules out anything you might have to drink in the pub!

Catren · 07/11/2018 21:58

Sorry I keep dipping in and out, this thread is really busy! langpants how are you holding up? You must be close to your otd now? Fingers firmly crossed for you.

I've had bfn after bfn on frers, didn't bother testing this morning at 10dp5dt. I've had my blood test just now and waiting for the inevitable bfn news from the nurse.
