Hi ladies!

Round 2 down regulation has just started. Embryo transfer should be 1/2 November. Going for 2 embryos this time.

Anyone else just starting a round? x

BlueSarah · 05/11/2018 14:33

@Trying2bemum best of luck with your transfer today xx.
@Flutterby7 hope your collection goes well xx. Look forward to hearing all about it as mine is getting close!

And good luck to everyone else getting to big mile stones (it is hard to keep track!)

Had my second scan this morning, follicles are growing nicely but still a bit small so have another scan on Wednesday and they think collection will be Friday! So very bloated today Sad

PlayingPositive · 05/11/2018 16:04

@flutterby7 hope it all goes well today!
@bluesarah sorry to hear about the bloating! But hopefully the egg collection will be on Friday!

I'm so low today, I can't explain why but I feel so awful and like my body is so heavy I can't move. I left work early as i just couldn't concentrate and feel depressed. Is this just buserelin? I hate the meds. I sometimes feel like I'm not cut out for this stuff. I hear you lovely ladies stories and i think you're all coping much better than I think I am. Sorry for the pity post.

If all goes well maybe ill have my egg collection in 2 weeks!

Flutterby7 · 05/11/2018 16:23

Thanks everyone, egg collection went ok. I have a bit of pain but not too bad @BlueSarah. Felt a bit groggy for a couple of hours after but other than that all good.

@PlayingPositive keep going, I felt rubbish on the Buserelin too. I felt low, tired, bloated, couldn’t concentrate and couldn’t sleep. At least you are aware it’s the meds so just try and stick with it. As soon as you are at egg collection you will be off those so you will start to feel better.

PlayingPositive · 05/11/2018 16:46

@flutterby7 - great to hear the EC went well for you, I hope you'll recover will and have my fingers crossed for your embies!

Thanks for your kind reassurance that it will get better - I really hope so! I think it's just a lot of the emotional worry, stress and obvs hormonal changes. I just find it odd that I feel worse now than i did the first 2 weeks. Hopefully it means the meds aree working and see thinning my uterus lining.

Get some rest and keep us updated x

orangefolly · 05/11/2018 16:58

Great news flutterby - hope you have a nice rest now and good luck for the fertilization!

playing I'm on nafarelin/synarel instead of buserelin, but I think they do the same job and it makes me feel majorly down and tired! I'm sure you'll feel better once you start stimming.

I had my baseline scan today and all good, so I can start on the oestrogen and back for a scan next Tues to check on my lining. Eek! It's really happening. Embryo Transfer could be as early as the 19th Nov.

Vida81 · 05/11/2018 17:15

@Playingpositive how did the baseline go?
@Trying2bemum hope ur ET went well and managed to get any spare one to freeze.
For us is 2 days until finding out if I'm pregnant, I'm so nervous!
Keep it up with the injections ladies, it will be worth itSmilexx

FingersXssd83 · 05/11/2018 17:43

Have you had any more symptoms @Vida81? I've had more pains todag (almost like cervical pains during AF), very bloated, back ache on and off and there was some light pink on the end of my pessaries applicator today. I'm clutching at straws haha! I'll be thinking of you on your test day. Good luck! Xx

Flutterby7 · 05/11/2018 18:05

@Vida81 & FingersXssd83 good luck for test day. 🤞🏻 The wait must be so hard. I’m not looking forward to that part xx

Trying2bemum · 05/11/2018 18:20

Good luck @Vida81

@PlayingPositive we all have days like that - it's such an emotional rollercoaster. Cut yourself massive amounts of slack xx

Transfer went well but our embryos are not the best quality again. We got all six to day five and transferred two - ungraded. I don't think the rest will be any good.

Feeling pretty devastated. This has been the outcome for three transfers now and I can't see us getting anything other than BFN again.

HavelockVetinari · 05/11/2018 19:22

@PlayingPositive Buserelin is miserable isn't it! I've done 3 rounds with it and each time I've been depressed, unable to sleep, bloated and very windy indeed Blush

FingersXssd83 · 05/11/2018 19:28

I thought it would be a doddle @Flutterby7 but I was so wrong! Hope you get some good news tomorrow about your eggs and embryos.

@Trying2bemum I can imagine your third cycle really takes it out of you. Can I ask why you don't feel like you're in a good position? As someone who had very few embies get to day 5 I would have thought six would be considered excellent. I wish you all the best for your TWW and getting your well deserved BFP

xx

Trying2bemum · 05/11/2018 19:30

@FingersXssd83 because the quality of them
Was so poor. I would have been happier with just one of a higher quality. I've had two transfers of two poor blasts before and had bfn so just can't see it happening x

Flutterby7 · 05/11/2018 20:07

Thanks @ FingersXssd83 !

@Trying2bemum that must be so hard for you. I am finding one cycle hard enough so I can’t imagine how you are feeling.
I still have my fingers crossed for you though. You never know it might be third time lucky but I know it just be hard to stay positive xx

twodogsonecatnobaby · 05/11/2018 21:23

@PlayingPositive – hope the baseline scan goes well tomorrow
@Flutterby7 – good luck for the fertilization
@Trying2bemum – fingers crossed for you, all the best for your TWW

I got my scan schedule today, 1st scan on Friday, then Monday and Wednesday next week. I’ve got acupuncture supporting the scans and EC (whenever that is). Feeling in a funny place, relieved that things have finally started – been waiting 6 months to get my thyroid levels good enough - but also scared it’s not going to work. Struggling to concentrate at work but also really need the distraction. If I’m lucky enough to have an embryo to transfer the TWW is going to be very tough.
x

Vida81 · 05/11/2018 21:33

@FingersXssd83 I'm bloated n have some low cervical moves but nothing different from previous periods. Your pink residue sounds promesing! I don't use applicator for the pessariesShock
I'll be thinking of u too, good luck on the last waiting day tomorrow xx

Langpants · 06/11/2018 05:58

@sarahthewiganer - I'm in the same position. Today I'm 5dp5dt. You? x

BeaCat · 06/11/2018 08:10

Hi all, sorry I haven't contributed much to the tread so far, I've been doing burserlin injections too @PlayingPositive and got my baseline scan on Thursday. Hope yours was ok? Not quite sure what they are checking for on the baseline scan, is it to check lining is thin? I have been feeling ok so far, although this week I have started to feel quite low and anxious. Plus I had the heaviest period ever (sorry tmi!) I hope this is normal?! X

sarahthewiganer · 06/11/2018 08:44

@langpants I’m officially 4dp5dt. I don’t really have any symptoms yet. I thought I felt achy and pulling a bit yesterday but I think I’m clutching at straws.

@playingpositive I only really felt bad on stuns towards the end, I remember feeling so bloated and uncomfortable and moody.

I think I might test on Friday as I’ll be 7dp5dt. Although whebenwve I have had positives I’ve inly got them on 8dp

Flutterby7 · 06/11/2018 09:52

@BeaCat I believe they are checking that everything has shut down ready to then stimulate.

Not sure how I feel today, they managed to collect 15 eggs yesterday which was a great start however only 10 were good. Out of that 10 they have said that only 4 fertilised properly but only 2 are any good.
If these two make it they are hoping for transfer either Thursday or sat. Just worried that we didn’t get many make it.

PlayingPositive · 06/11/2018 10:28

Thanks for the well wishes ladies. You're right @Trying2bemum gotta cut myself some slack - it's a tough journey. You've done it three times - honestly so much respect for women like you. I really hope you get your BFP soon!

@HavelockVetinari, @Beacat & @Orangefolly - Yes Buserelin has been quite awful. I was honestly coping better at the beginning but now after 2 weeks it's gotta quite horrible and making me feel depressed. The things we go through!

I had the baseline scan today and didn't get great news. My lining is too thick (6.5 mm) and so I need to be on another week of buserelin and do another scan to see if we can proceed. I didn't ask what would happen if it didn't go down to the 5.5mm that they require - i was too afraid to hear the answer. I felt so upset by this because it's all so much out of my control! I felt dreadful and so just went home. I didn't go into work as I just couldn't face it, I'm too emotional and just feel like crying and just tired. When I asked the doc about the symptoms, she was like that's normal. So I guess just gotta grin and bear it.

I'll find out next Tues what they will say. Has anyone else experienced this? By that point I'd be on 23 days of buserelin.

Good luck to all the ladies doing their tests soon! x

Flutterby7 · 06/11/2018 10:48

@PlayingPositive I didn’t even have a scan until day 22 of taking Buserelin so I wouldn’t worry too much. I had all the same symptoms whilst on it. It’s horrible but I just tried to focus on what I was trying to achieve.

PlayingPositive · 06/11/2018 10:54

Oh @Flutterby7 that is reassuring, thanks! Maybe my clinic is just going scans earlier on? I did have a period after the first week of buserelin but it was very light. My periods are generally extremely light and it does worry me because I feel like my period doesn't leave my body hence my endometriosis.

I'm taking today to rest and will try to just get on with it again from tomorrow. How are you feeling today? x

HavelockVetinari · 06/11/2018 12:21

@PlayingPositive same here, I wasn't scanned till I'd been on buserelin nearly 3 weeks.

Good luck next week, I hope it thins down. When they scanned you did they say your ovaries are nice and quiet at least?

2dp5dt today, the wait is killing me! I had some cramping yesterday, I'm really hoping it was implantation.

FingersXssd83 · 06/11/2018 12:53

Welcome to. The TWW @HavelockVetinari I'm 8dp5dt and today's the only day I haven't had a symptom so far, my back was aching like mad yesterday. Hoping this is a sign my little embaby has bedded in but my test day isn't until Mon (two weeks after ET) and I've decided to not test until Sunday. When's your test day? Is this your first cycle? Xx

Flutterby7 · 06/11/2018 13:55

@PlayingPositive I imagine they just have a different way of checking and monitoring. Maybe because you have endometriosis they want to check more regularly or something. I had a period on Buserelin too.
Mine was lighter than normal and didn’t last as long. I think that’s all normal.

I’m feeling ok thanks, just a bit sore but not too bad really. Just more nervous now as to weather one of my two embyos will last.
I thought I was over the hard bit but each step seems to throw another thing to worry about. If only we were programmed not to worry at all!!

Trying to stay positive though xx
