Hey,

So like the title says really is anyone about to start an IVF cycle in July or August?

This is my first cycle and I’m excited/petrified!!! I would love to have some cycle buddies to chat to and for support. It’s all self funded as due to the postcode lottery we get no NHS cycles.

Just a little background. I’m 34, have been TTC for 2 and a bit years now, initial diagnosis PCOS and I had 7 cycles of Clomid which resulted in me falling pregnant in December but sadly I had a MMC at 11 weeks. I have since been diagnosed with endometriosis following an unexpectedly low AMH result. My right ovary is has a significant cyst.

I have an endometrial scratch on Monday and will begin down reg on Monday night. I’m a nurse so have no fear of needles but not sure how I’ll manage with injecting myself.

Really hope to have some company on this journey xxx

@35counting well done for getting through it! How hilarious that your DH passed out, I hope he's feeling better! Fingers crossed for those four little eggs to be good quality. Hope you're resting now.

Don’t forget @35 - it only takes 1 good one! We only ended up with 3 that we mature enough to use and 2 that fertilised.
Fingers crossed for you both for you both - hope you get some fab little embies growing overnight!

Thankyou @sparkleshelley, @elaydee, @sunny1984, @35counting! I had a good cry yesterday and have let it all out. Feel more positive this morning and have so much love for the six that have grown! As you said its quality over quantity so now will concentrate on these to grow nicely. Thank you all for the support really appreciate it!

Hubby has a severe flu so have been keeping my distance so ydy was tough but moving on I feel more positive.

Well done @elaydee and @35counting for being so brave during and after egg collection. Hope they grew nicely overnight and you have positive response from the embryologist today!

@sparkleyshelley that’s amazing about your friend! It’s definitely given me hope!

@sunny2984 im routing for your magic eggs!! I wish you all the best for monday!! Im going to take your advice on board and head to the shops now and buy some full fat milk and get drinking!

@35counting hope you’re recovering well! That is so funny about your husband! Remind me, was he doing your injections for you? Mine couldn’t and probably would have passed out too if he was allowed in the room when getting my cannula.

How are you feeling today @Elaydee and @35counting? I’m weirdly excited my EC on Monday now. I seem to have just made peace with the face I know I won’t be getting many eggs but I can’t change it so I’m just hoping we get one or two good embryos now. Have they said to you girls when transfer might be? I’m expecting a day 2 or 3 due to fewer eggs.
@A280 glad you are feeling better, I think we all need a day to feel down and pissed off with the whole thing!! When is your next scan? You might find you have quite a few more on they next scan, my friend went for 2 to 6 follies in 2 days! Do you know what your Antral Follicle Count was on your baseline scan?

@35counting sounds like you had a day of ups and downs yesterday. That is is hilarious about DH 🤣🤣 I’ve been to many deliveries where I have had to step over Dads on the floor to get to the baby!!!

Scan went well today. We have 2 follicles on the left side. And 5 in the right side. Which is normal i think??

We are now waiting for the phone to tell is when to pull the trigger!! Im so nervous but excited too as i thought we would have to wait at least another few days before this!!!
Is burseling & gonasi easy? Painful? What should we expect?
Ec due either Monday or Tuesday!

Hi ladies, I’m bowing out I’m afraid, none of our eggs fertilised so it’s the end of the road for us on this cycle, so very frustrating!

Sorry to hear that @35counting, I hope you have some nice distractions and things to do today and that you can spoil yourself . Like @gingergnome said - there is no justice.

I am hoping to go in for my baseline scan tomorrow or Tuesday (starting your period at the weekend is a pain when your clinic doesn't open at the weekend). Then hopefully start injections the same kind of time.

@chocolatelab I started my cycle on a Saturday morning and the hospital was closed all weekend. So I had to have my first scan and needle on Monday. I was worried on day 3 it would be too late, but it was fine! Good luck!

How are you doing @Elaydee do you know yet when transfer might be? Did you have really sore boobs after trigger shot?! Mine are killing today! After my excitement about EC yesterday I’m now getting a bit nervous, not really sure what about though!!

@aandre26 Have you got a date yet for EC? Gonasi was fine last night, just a bit stingy!

Ec is on tuesday.
Did my last shot of bemfola and cetrotide this morning; most painful shot yet, not sure if it was me doing something wrong or if im just feeling sensitive from all the shots!
But nervous for the gonasi and bursaline tonight 😳

@aandre26 bloody typical isn’t, I found my last Ovaleap on Friday the worst of all!!!
The Burselin is absolutely fine is it 0.5ml? I’ve been doing it for nearly 4 weeks now and the Gonasi was fine how much are you having 10000? Will you do it as one shot?

Mine is tomorrow morning? Not expecting many eggs at all but sending lots of positive thoughts out that they are good quality 🤞🏻🤞🏻. Sounds ridiculous but I saw a Rainbow Thursday night, I haven’r and seen one for years so I like to think it was a good sign 🌈

@Sunny1984 rainbow is definitely a sign i would say! Good luck for tomorrow! It only takes one good egg so fingers crossed for you!! Why do you think you wont get many?

The bursaline is 2ml and the gonasi is 5000 which sounds really high 😂

@aandre26, fancy an egg collection twin? Mine was meant to be Wed but I went in for an early scan today as I might have rang the clinic crying yesterday I'm so worried that I might over stimulate as I have over 20 follicles, but the hospital managed to calm me down today and say I was being ridiculous! I have 11 little follies measuring 15 and above, biggest is 18. My trigger is ovitrelle. What time are you triggering tonight? I'm 10pm. I actually can't wait as it's been a long 42 days of injections.
Thinking of you @sunny1984, hope all goes so smoothly tomorrow, be brave. That rainbow is a positive sign for sure 🌈

I dont think your being ridiculous especially after so many days!! How have you coped!!!
Try and stay calm and keep your mind occupied. Worrying wont fo those eggys any good!!
(Although i rang my mum crying because i have a cold....maybe its the hormones 😂)
They are ringing me today about 3 o clock with exact details on time etc so will let you know.

Do you mind me asking what clinic you are at? Were in Manchester St Marys.

@aandre26 only because I only have 4 good size follicles and a few other smaller ones! But I’m keeping the faith in the few I have!! I had 10000 Gonasi but no buserlin yesterday, everywhere has such different drug protocols!

@Springb0ks the whole process causes so much worry doesn’t it?! I’m worried about to few you at worried about too many!!

@sunny1984 my next scan is tomorrow (day 8 of stimulation/day 9 of cycle). Im def hoping there are more follicles since the dose has been increased. My baseline result was 12 but the scan on Friday showed only 6 grew. What was your baseline? Good luck for the egg collection tomorrow!! Its good that its in the morning i think so you can just wake up and go rather then overthink all day. Im sure it will go well!

Yeah i agree everywhere seems different. I keep reading stuff on here and im like...nope havent done that. (Like baseline scans etc)
They did originally give me two gonasi and one burseline so im glad its only two injections and not three now.
