BFP after IVF: any other nervous ladies in need of a handhold?

I've had my BFP after our first FET and in a bit of a state analysing symptoms/lack of symptoms. Had two losses prior to starting IVF so really can't get my head round what might be normal or not. Clinic will scan me at six weeks, but that is two very long weeks away! Anyone else in a similar position? xxx

Thanks @Janefx40 - am nervous - trying to be positive as I am def feeling more and more nauseous so but also feeling quite cranky which isn't so reassuring.... I just want them to say 'it all looks good so far' tomorrow - I know if it does it's no guarantee but it would be so nice to just get to a point I can say that...
Hours feel like months this week!

Janefx40 · 05/06/2018 21:21

@Hobbes39 I think you're amazing for getting through the week. I would have fallen apart completely...I did a couple of weeks back.

Thanks @Janefx40 - just noticed the typos in my post "crampy" not cranky..!
Although I have been cranky!

Si1ver · 06/06/2018 10:42

Good luck today @Hobbes, I have everything crossed for you.

Hobbes39 · 06/06/2018 11:15

It's not good news. There's still a heartbeat, but didn't appear to be very fast and the baby hasn't really grown since last week. So looking likely this will be another MMC - only thing keeping it going is the pessaries and drugs. I feel utterly heartbroken.
As there is still a hb in to keep going with the drugs and pray for a miracle and get scanned again next week.
Doc said she's not seen it be good news in the end from this situation tho, so I'm pretty sure we are just drawing out the inevitable. Can't describe how broken I feel right now. X

Decafplease · 06/06/2018 11:23

Oh hobbes i am so sorry! Its so cruel that you are facing this again. As long as there is a heartbeat there must be hope though? I hope for a miracle for you, and wish you strenght to deal with another week of this agony. Flowers

Si1ver · 06/06/2018 11:55

I'm so sorry @Hobbes. I wish it were better news for you.

Janefx40 · 06/06/2018 13:48

Hobbes I am so sorry, this must be heartbreaking for you. You have been through so much Flowersx

SouthernBella74 · 06/06/2018 15:56

@Hobbes39, I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve had this news. My heart and prayers go out to you and your OH. These early days are so stressful. I know your doctor is cautious, but there is still a heartbeat and I pray that it turns around for next week. Hopefully these next days will pass quickly. Sending you a warm hug. 🌟

DameSylvieKrin · 06/06/2018 16:08

I‘m so sorry, Hobbes, thinking of you and your OH.

wombats · 06/06/2018 18:32

Hi everyone, hope it's ok to join you. I received my BFP yesterday, from my third cycle. Still a bit in shock and haven't a clue what happens next- other than continue to take the dreaded pessaries! Have my first scan in 2.5 weeks.

1Wanda1 · 07/06/2018 22:48

Welcome Yorkshirelass! And congratulations. It takes a while to sink in doesn't it? I also got my BFP on third transfer. 5+4 now and still have another 2 weeks to wait until my scan. My clinic seem to do them later than others.

How are you feeling? Any symptoms so far?

Yorkshirelass27 · 07/06/2018 23:05

Thank you 1Wanda1 and many congratulations to you too! Yes, I daren't get too excited at the moment.
Regarding symptoms, I've just been really bloated and crampy tummy. The nurse said yesterday it's the ovaries settling down. Probably that and the Cyclogest! Have you had any symptoms? How have you been getting on?
It feels really early to have a scan, I won't be even 5 weeks.

Si1ver · 08/06/2018 07:44

Congratulations @Yorkshirelass27 that's fab news!

My first scan is tomorrow, I'll be 6+6 and I'm am anxious as hell.

PonyPals · 08/06/2018 13:44

@Yorkshirelass27 congratulations!!!! So great to hear
Good luck @Si1ver tomorrow!!

1Wanda1 · 08/06/2018 14:50

Si1ver how exciting to have your scan tomorrow. I can't wait for mine. Though I also feel anxious so understand where you're coming from.

Yorkshirelass my symptoms so far are serious bloating and increasing nausea. Either I can't face eating anything at all, or I find something I can manage and then can't stop eating!

Yorkshirelass27 · 08/06/2018 18:44

Thank you Si1ver and PonyPals, it's still sinking in! Good luck for your scan tomorrow Si1ver.
1Wanda1 I'm with you on the bloating- jeans aren't comfortable at the moment. Also briefly had some sharp pains in the middle of my tummy today, probably pessary wind! Hope the nausea passes soon

Janefx40 · 08/06/2018 19:40

@Yorkshirelass27 welcome and congrats. I had sharp pains in my tummy in the first week after BFP. I personally think that's was the embie settling further in.

You must have been at least 4 weeks when you got your BFP so at your scan surely 6.5 at least?

@Si1ver Good luck tomorrow. Scans are terrifying. Hope it all goes well.
