Looking at potential IVF options and to stay with our current fertility clinic, we’re looking in the region of about £6k for IVF including medication. I have come across ABC in London a few times and I’ve also seen women on ttc/infertility fb groups talking about having their IVF done there.

I understand it’s known as “shoebox” IVF which is why it only costs £2500 including meds, scans etc. Which is amazing to be honest when you don’t have thousands and thousands to spare like we don’t. I was just wondering if anyone on here was considering going, is currently or has been through IVF with them and if they’re worth it? I feel like it may be a “too good to be true” situation but if it’s not, it would really be a step in the right direction for us money-wise

@sarahloub1 my husband said the same but whatever gets the job done. He didn’t use the computer / mags but it wouldn’t bother me if it did. All clinics are similar from what I’ve heard.

We got our results within 30mins. But we literally went to St Paul’s for the sample then made our way to our Harley street consultation appointment xx

Sarahloub1 · 17/05/2019 16:24

@MrsSharp29

I know I am been really silly it just really upset me knowing he watched things like know (he said he didn't but I don't know) he said they never told him when he would get the results
xx

TryingForMyRainbow · 17/05/2019 18:43

@sarahloub1
I think every clinic has that option to make things quick and easy lol and I don’t think it’s a big deal!! as it’s a medical thing not like he went in there just for that. Was it at create? Because my husband told me the same when we went for egg retrieval. He said the computer was already loaded I found that pretty cool 😫😂 I doubt he didn’t watch anything but it shouldn’t be an issue anyway. The process is stressful enough without stressing and worrying about such things. Relax

She told him it's our choice but she doesn't think we will need ICSI now the the normal ivf she just said she would explain more in detail on our medication consultation on 18th June.

@MrsSharp29

I remembered you saying it was end of the month, awww good I'm glad you've had a break it's a long way ahead lol

Yeah we're doing ok he got his results back apparently it was a brilliant result nothing wrong at all she thinks it's just stress so we're not having icsi now which has saved us a bit of money, just waiting now until 18th June for our medication consultation.

Let me know how you get on cos I'm dreading the injections lol

MrsSharp29

Hi sorry to be a pain just wondering how you got on today xx

Hope everything went well xx

Circa1987 · 30/05/2019 18:50

@sarahloub1 hello!! (I’ve changed my username!!)

It went really well. I start taking my meds on day 2 of my next cycle. They all delivered this morning so... ready to go!! Xxx

Sarahloub1 · 30/05/2019 19:18

Wow that was quick delivery was there a lot to take in?
Do you have to store them in a fridge?
I work 12 hours a day 4 days a week so I'm a little worried when to do em,

Sorry for all the questions xx

Or I'm so pleased for you it's a step closer for you both xx

Ouryear19 · 30/05/2019 19:38

@ Circa1987 good luck with your treatment xx

Circa1987 · 30/05/2019 19:40

@sarahloub1 mine was two boxes worth of stuff and some I keep in the fridge, some I don’t. It depends I guess on what your treatment plan is. But I honestly promise you that every single tiny detail will be explained to you during your treatment appointment. It’s a lot to take in but they give you a detailed chart with the amount you need to administer and when during the day you need to do it. It’s all there in the meeting and all written down for you. And of course you can phone / email at any time.

I work shift work also but my treatment plan will have to fit around my work. I’ll make it work - you have too. Xx

Sarahloub1 · 31/05/2019 07:11

@ Circa1987

Or thats good it's written down as well,
Who delivered it was it Royal Mail or a parcel company xx

Circa1987 · 31/05/2019 07:25

@sarahloub1 it’s a medical company that deliver it at a time and date to suit you. They gave me a one hour window. It is all extremely discreet with a non identifiable van and all boxes are completely plain so there’s nothing to say what’s inside.

Sarahloub1 · 31/05/2019 18:45

@ Circa1987

Or brilliant that's even better I can stop panicking for a bit now,

Sorry for pestering and asking loads of questions
Xx

Sarahloub1 · 04/06/2019 06:42

@ Circa1987

Just wondering how your getting on have you started your injections yet?
Hope all is going well
xx

Circa1987 · 04/06/2019 18:14

@sarahloub1 Hello! I’ve not ovulated this cycle yet (it was meant to be last Friday!!) so we are at least 2 weeks away from starting any medication. My body #predictable!! Xx

TryingForMyRainbow · 09/06/2019 16:12

@ouryear19

Hi how have you been getting on, have you had your 7 week scan?
I hope your pregnancy is going super smoothly! I wanted to ask on the 3x’s a day progesterone did you feel you didn’t have many symptoms from it?? Xx

Circa1987 · 09/06/2019 17:45

@ouryear19 and @tryingformyrainbow

How did you find the medication? I am about 10-12 days before my cycle starts so I’m a little nervous on how the meds may effect me. I’m on a fairly low dosage to begin with but I wear a uniform to work and just worried about any potential bloating that come with the medications xxx

TryingForMyRainbow · 09/06/2019 17:47

I found it easy to be honest and only noticed bloating after egg collection. Didn’t really have any symptoms from the injections either. Just remember to drink lots and lots of water through the whole process that really helps!

Circa1987 · 09/06/2019 18:56

@tryingformyrainbow

Thank you! Any little tip helps definitely :)

What step of the process are you at?
